Apparatus and methods for selectively revealing data
Abstract
An apparatus and method for selectively revealing user data. User data may be stored on an immutable sequential listing and accessed through the immutable sequential listing. Processor of apparatus is configured to receive user-associated data to be stored in a resource data storage system. Processor is configured to sort the user-associated data into data sets and assigned an identifier to each data set. Identifier may be related to job history, education history, volunteer history, or the like. Processor is configured to receive a request to reveal data from a third-party and transmit data set to the requestor. Third party and data in data sets may be verified and validated.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . An apparatus for selectively revealing data, the apparatus comprising:
at least a processor; and a memory communicatively connected to the processor, the memory containing instructions configuring the at least a processor to:
receive, from a user, a set of user-associated data to be stored in a resource data storage system;
select an identifier from a plurality of identifiers associated with the user as a function of the user-associated data, wherein each identifier of the plurality of identifiers is linked to a data set of a plurality of data sets;
receive, from a third party, a request comprising a third-party identifier to selectively reveal a data set of the user-associated data using the identifier;
validate the third party, wherein validating the third party comprises:
validating the third party as a function of the third-party identifier; and
verifying an identity of the third party using a cryptographic commitment; and
transmit the data set to the third party associated with the request as a function of the identifier.
2 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein verifying the identity of the third party using the cryptographic commitment comprises:
hashing the cryptographic commitment; and comparing the hashed cryptographic commitment to a hashed user-specific secret.
3 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein verifying the identity of the third party using the cryptographic commitment comprises determining that a cryptographic accumulator comprises a user-specific secret.
4 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the user-specific secret comprises a personal identification number.
5 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein verifying the identity of the third party using the cryptographic commitment comprises:
opening the cryptographic commitment; and verifying the cryptographic commitment against a user-specific secret.
6 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the third-party is an employer.
7 . The apparatus of claim 5 , wherein the third-party is an employer of the user.
8 . The apparatus of claim 5 , wherein the data set comprises data relating to a present employment of the user.
9 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the set of user-associated data comprises a video resume.
10 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the set of user-associated data comprises a written resume.
11 . A method for selectively revealing data, the method comprising:
receiving, by at least a processor from a user, a set of user-associated data to be stored in a resource data storage system; selecting, by the at least a processor, an identifier from a plurality of identifiers associated with the user as a function of the user-associated data, wherein each identifier of the plurality of identifiers is linked to a data set of a plurality of data sets; receiving, by the at least a processor from a third party, a request comprising a third-party identifier to selectively reveal a data set of the user-associated data using the identifier; validating, by the at least a processor, the third party, wherein validating the third party comprises:
validating the third party as a function of the third-party identifier; and
verifying an identity of the third party using a cryptographic commitment; and
transmitting, by the at least a processor, the data set to the third party associated with the request as a function of the identifier.
12 . The method of claim 1 , wherein verifying the identity of the third party using the cryptographic commitment comprises:
hashing the cryptographic commitment; and comparing the hashed cryptographic commitment to a hashed user-specific secret.
13 . The method of claim 1 , wherein verifying the identity of the third party using the cryptographic commitment comprises determining that a cryptographic accumulator comprises a user-specific secret.
14 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the user-specific secret comprises a personal identification number.
15 . The method of claim 1 , wherein verifying the identity of the third party using the cryptographic commitment comprises:
opening the cryptographic commitment; and verifying the cryptographic commitment against a user-specific secret.
16 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the third-party is an employer.
17 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the third-party is an employer of the user.
18 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the data set comprises data relating to a present employment of the user.
19 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the set of user-associated data comprises a video resume.
20 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the set of user-associated data comprises a written resume.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
