Abstract
A bicycle communication apparatus is provided that includes a housing, a control device, an input, a wireless communicator and a wired communicator. The control device is provided to the housing. The input is configured to communicate with the control device based on a user input. The wireless communicator is configured to receive information from a device remotely located from the control device, and communicate the information from the device to the control device. The wired communicator is configured to transmit a control signal to a bicycle component via an electrical cable in response to operation of the input. The control device is configured to control the bicycle component via the wired communicator based on the operation of the input and the information from the device.

1 . A bicycle communication apparatus comprising:
a housing; a control device provided to the housing; an input configured to communicate with the control device based on a user input; a wireless communicator configured to receive information from a device remotely located from the control device, and communicate the information from the device to the control device; and a wired communicator configured to transmit a control signal to a bicycle component via an electrical cable in response to operation of the input, the control device being configured to control the bicycle component via the wired communicator based on the operation of the input and the information from the device.
2 . The bicycle communication apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein
the control device is configured to control a control state of a motor that assists in propulsion of a bicycle.
3 . The bicycle communication apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein
the input is provided to the housing.
4 . The bicycle communication apparatus according to claim 3 , wherein
the input includes one of a button, a lever, a dial, and a touch sensor.
5 . The bicycle communication apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein
the wireless communicator is provided to the housing.
6 . The bicycle communication apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein
the wired communicator is provided to the housing.
7 . The bicycle communication apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein
the wireless communicator is configured to transmit the information to be displayed on an external device.
8 . The bicycle communication apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein
the information of the wireless communicator includes information for indicating a control state of the shifting device.
9 . The bicycle communication apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein
the wired communicator includes a power line communication circuit.
10 . The bicycle communication apparatus according to claim 1 , further comprising
a first connector electrically connected to the wired communicator and connectable to a first electrical cable.
11 . The bicycle communication apparatus according to claim 10 , further comprising
a second connector electrically connected to the wired communicator and connectable to a second electrical cable, the second connector being connected in parallel to the first connector.
12 . The bicycle communication apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein
the input is operatively coupled to the wired communicator that transmits a control signal to change a control state of the motor in response to the input being operated.
13 . The bicycle communication apparatus according to claim 1 , further comprising
an indicator configured to indicate the information.
14 . The bicycle communication apparatus according to claim 13 , wherein
