Abstract
A drainage device may include a catheter including a proximal end and a distal end. The drainage device may further include a hub coupled to the proximal end of the catheter. The hub may include a fastener element configured to secure the distal end of the catheter. In some aspects, the fastener element may be a hinged element. In some aspects, the drainage device may further include a puncture element including a tip and an expander portion. In still other aspects, the puncture element may also include an attachment portion.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A drainage device comprising:
a catheter including a proximal end and a distal end; and a hub configured to couple to the proximal end of the catheter, the hub including a fastener configured to secure the distal end of the catheter.
2 . A drainage device comprising:
a catheter including a proximal end and a distal end; and a puncture element configured to couple to the distal end of the catheter, the puncture element including a puncture tip, an elongate curved needle portion, and an expander portion adjacent to an end of the puncture element opposite to the puncture tip, the expander portion including one or more cutting edges on a distal side that is closest to the puncture tip to expand an opening formed by the tip and including one or more blunt edges on a proximal side that is closest to proximal end of the catheter.
3 . A drainage device comprising:
a catheter including a proximal end and a distal end; a hub configured to couple to the proximal end of the catheter, the hub including a fastener configured to secure the distal end of the catheter; and a puncture element configured to couple to the distal end of the catheter.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
