Abstract

Systems and methods for payment processing on devices are provided. Such systems and methods enable payment processing to be completed with a peripheral device (such as a magnetic card reader) and a point of sales system, without the need for extensive developer integration. The system receives a payment charge amount from a point of sales system. The system also detects (or dynamically populates) peripheral devices that are used to capture account information. The peripheral device is a supported device type with an associated library, which includes data for properly interfacing with the peripheral device. The system provides the captured account data, a merchant ID and the amount of the charge to a payment management system. The system likewise receives a response (approve or decline) from the payment management system.

27 . The computer-implemented method of claim 26 , wherein the payment processing interface leverages a third library entry associated with the selected distribution electronic transaction type to facilitate performance of the transaction distribution.

28 . A system for electronic transaction type and peripheral device integration, the system comprising:
one or more processors; a data storage storing instructions which, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform a method comprising: activating, on a mobile device, an application platform associated with an electronic transaction interface system; presenting, on the application platform, a point of sale (POS) interface containing a list of a plurality of products; detecting, on the POS interface, selection of at least one product of the plurality of products in the list; launching, subsequent to the detecting, a payment processing interface that displays an electronic transaction amount for the at least one product; receiving, at the payment processing interface, a selection of an electronic transaction type to facilitate payment for the electronic transaction amount; detecting, via the payment processing interface, connection of a peripheral device to the mobile device, wherein the peripheral device is configured to interface with a payment vehicle associated with the selected electronic transaction type to collect transaction information; querying, in response to determining that a library entry comprising data utilized by the payment processing interface to interface with the peripheral device is not present, a payment management system for the library entry; receiving, in response to the querying and from the payment management system, an update containing the library entry; and interfacing, by the payment processing interface system and using the update containing the library entry, with the peripheral device in accordance with the selected electronic transaction type.

29 . The system of claim 28 , wherein the peripheral device comprises one of: a magnetic card reader, a smart card reader, an optical reader, a biometric reader, an e-wallet interface.

30 . The system of claim 28 , wherein the payment processing interface leverages a second library entry associated with the selected electronic transaction type.

31 . The system of claim 28 , further comprising receiving, at the application platform, an indication to facilitate a transaction distribution.
