Abstract

A method for treating psoriasis including the steps of applying an isothiocyanate functional surfactant to an area affected by psoriasis, wherein the isothiocyanate functional surfactant comprises at least one isothiocyanate functional group associated with an aliphatic and/or aromatic carbon atom of the isothiocyanate functional surfactant.

1 . A method for treating psoriasis, comprising the step(s) of:
 applying an isothiocyanate functional surfactant to an area affected by psoriasis, wherein the isothiocyanate functional surfactant comprises at least one isothiocyanate functional group associated with an aliphatic and/or aromatic carbon atom of the isothiocyanate functional surfactant.   
     
     
         2 . The method for treating psoriasis according to  claim 1 , further comprising the step of removing the isothiocyanate functional surfactant from the area affected by psoriasis. 
     
     
         3 . A method for treating psoriasis, comprising the steps of:
 applying an isothiocyanate functional surfactant to an area affected by psoriasis, wherein the isothiocyanate functional surfactant comprises at least one isothiocyanate functional group associated with an aliphatic and/or aromatic carbon atom of the isothiocyanate functional surfactant;
 removing the isothiocyanate functional surfactant from the area affected by psoriasis; and 
 repeating the steps of applying and removing the isothiocyanate functional surfactant to/from the area affected by psoriasis. 
   
     
     
         4 . A method for treating psoriasis comprising the steps of:
 washing an area affected by psoriasis with an isothiocyanate functional surfactant, wherein the isothiocyanate functional surfactant comprises at least one isothiocyanate functional group associated with an aliphatic and/or aromatic carbon atom of the isothiocyanate functional surfactant.

The method for treating psoriasis of  claim 1  further comprising the step of applying an additional surfactant, wherein the additional surfactant is selected from at least one of the group comprising a non-ionic surfactant, an anionic surfactant, a cationic surfactant, a zwitterionic surfactant, and combinations thereof. 
     
     
         12 . The method for treating psoriasis of  claim 1 , wherein the psoriasis is chosen from the group consisting of plaque psoriasis, guttate psoriasis, inverse psoriasis, pustular psoriasis, erythrodermic psoriasis, scalp psoriasis, and nail psoriasis. 
     
     
         13 . The method for treating psoriasis of  claim 2  further comprising the step of applying an additional surfactant, wherein the additional surfactant is selected from at least one of the group comprising a non-ionic surfactant, an anionic surfactant, a cationic surfactant, a zwitterionic surfactant, and combinations thereof. 
     
     
         14 . The method for treating psoriasis of  claim 3  further comprising the step of applying an additional surfactant, wherein the additional surfactant is selected from at least one of the group comprising a non-ionic surfactant, an anionic surfactant, a cationic surfactant, a zwitterionic surfactant, and combinations thereof. 
     
     
         15 . The method for treating psoriasis of  claim 4  further comprising the step of applying an additional surfactant, wherein the additional surfactant is selected from at least one of the group comprising a non-ionic surfactant, an anionic surfactant, a cationic surfactant, a zwitterionic surfactant, and combinations thereof. 
     
     
         16 . The method for treating psoriasis of  claim 12  further comprising the step of applying an additional surfactant, wherein the additional surfactant is selected from at least one of the group comprising a non-ionic surfactant, an anionic surfactant, a cationic surfactant, a zwitterionic surfactant, and combinations thereof. 
     
     
         17 . The method for treating psoriasis of  claim 2 , wherein the psoriasis is chosen from the group consisting of plaque psoriasis, guttate psoriasis, inverse psoriasis, pustular psoriasis, erythrodermic psoriasis, scalp psoriasis, nail psoriasis, and combinations thereof. 
     
     
         18 . The method for treating psoriasis of  claim 3 , wherein the psoriasis is chosen from the group consisting of plaque psoriasis, guttate psoriasis, inverse psoriasis, pustular psoriasis, erythrodermic psoriasis, scalp psoriasis, nail psoriasis, and combinations thereof. 
     
     
         19 . The method for treating psoriasis of  claim 4 , wherein the psoriasis is chosen from the group consisting of plaque psoriasis, guttate psoriasis, inverse psoriasis, pustular psoriasis, erythrodermic psoriasis, scalp psoriasis, nail psoriasis, and combinations thereof. 
     
     
         20 . The method for treating psoriasis of  claim 11 , wherein the psoriasis is chosen from the group consisting of plaque psoriasis, guttate psoriasis, inverse psoriasis, pustular psoriasis, erythrodermic psoriasis, scalp psoriasis, nail psoriasis, and combinations thereof. 
     
     
         21 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the step of applying the isothiocyanate functional surfactant to the area affected by psoriasis is chosen from the group consisting of: spraying, dripping, dabbing, rubbing, blotting, dipping, and any combination thereof. 
     
     
         22 . The method of  claim 2 , wherein the step of applying the isothiocyanate functional surfactant to the area affected by psoriasis is chosen from the group consisting of: spraying, dripping, dabbing, rubbing, blotting, dipping, and any combination thereof. 
     
     
         23 . The method of  claim 3 , wherein the step of applying the isothiocyanate functional surfactant to the area affected by psoriasis is chosen from the group consisting of: spraying, dripping, dabbing, rubbing, blotting, dipping, and any combination thereof. 
     
     
         24 . The method of  claim 14 , wherein the step of applying the isothiocyanate functional surfactant to the area affected by psoriasis is chosen from the group consisting of: spraying, dripping, dabbing, rubbing, blotting, dipping, and any combination thereof. 
     
     
         25 . The method of  claim 17 , wherein the step of applying the isothiocyanate functional surfactant to the area affected by psoriasis is chosen from the group consisting of: spraying, dripping, dabbing, rubbing, blotting, dipping, and any combination thereof. 
     
     
         26 . The method of  claim 18 , wherein the step of applying the isothiocyanate functional surfactant to the area affected by psoriasis is chosen from the group consisting of: spraying, dripping, dabbing, rubbing, blotting, dipping, and any combination thereof.
