Lifejacket storage device
Abstract
A lifejacket storage device comprising a first layer, forming a generally closed container, a layer of cushioning lining an inside of the first layer, a cavity within the closed container, and a resealable access port to access the cavity. In a preferred embodiment, the first layer is marine vinyl, the cushioning is a uniform layer of marine foam, and the resealable access port is a marine-grade zipper. In another embodiment, the cushioning is a layer of beanbag beans. The lifejacket storage device is intended for, but not limited to, use outdoors, such as on the beach, the decks of boats, patios, pool sides, and in water. In a preferred embodiment, the lifejacket storage device floats on water and further comprises a reflective band and reflective elements.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedI claim:
1 . A lifejacket storage device for use in a marine environment comprising:
a flexible first layer forming a generally closed container; cushioning lining an inside of the first layer; a cavity for life jacket storage within the closed container; and at least one resealable access port embedded within a wall of the storage device to enable insertion and removal of life jackets from the cavity.
2 . The life jacket storage device of claim 1 , further comprising a flexible second layer lining an inside of the cushioning.
3 . The life jacket storage device of claim 1 , wherein the resealable access port is a marine-grade zipper or a hook and loop fastener.
4 . The life jacket storage device of claim 1 , wherein the first layer is made of marine vinyl or breathable mesh.
5 . The life jacket storage device of claim 1 , wherein the cushioning is a layer of beanbag beans.
6 . The life jacket storage device of claim 1 , wherein the cushioning is a uniform layer of marine foam, memory foam, or a foam with a density of less than 1 g/cm 3 .
7 . The life jacket storage device of claim 1 , wherein the resealable access port is sized to enable passage of the life jackets.
8 . The life jacket storage device of claim 1 , wherein the cushioning has a minimum uniform thickness of 0.5″ and a maximum uniform thickness of 5″.
9 . The life jacket storage device of claim 1 , further comprising at least one reflective band attached to an outside of said first layer and a plurality of reflective elements attached to the outside of said first layer or an outside of the reflective band, wherein the reflective band and the reflective elements highlight the life-saving nature of the life jacket storage device.
10 . A lifejacket storage device for use in a marine environment comprising:
a flexible, waterproof first layer forming a generally closed container; cushioning with a density of less than 1 g/cm 3 lining an inside of the first layer; a cavity for life jacket storage within the closed container; and at least one resealable access port embedded within a wall of the storage device to enable insertion and removal of life jackets from the cavity.
11 . The life jacket storage device of claim 10 , further comprising a flexible, waterproof second layer lining an inside of the cushioning.
12 . The life jacket storage device of claim 10 , wherein the resealable access port is a marine-grade zipper or a hook and loop fastener.
13 . The life jacket storage device of claim 10 , wherein the first layer is made of marine vinyl or breathable mesh.
14 . The life jacket storage device of claim 10 , wherein the cushioning has a minimum uniform thickness of 0.5″ and a maximum uniform thickness of 5″.
15 . The life jacket storage device of claim 10 , wherein the resealable access port is sized to enable passage of the life jackets.
16 . The life jacket storage device of claim 10 , further comprising at least one reflective band attached to an outside of said first layer and a plurality of reflective elements attached to the outside of said first layer or an outside of the reflective band, wherein the reflective band and the reflective elements highlight the life-saving nature of the life jacket storage device.
17 . A lifejacket storage device for use in a marine environment comprising:
a flexible, waterproof first layer of marine vinyl forming a generally closed container; marine foam cushioning with a density of less than 1 g/cm 3 lining an inside of the first layer, wherein the cushioning has a minimum uniform thickness of 0.5″ and a maximum uniform thickness of 5″; a cavity for life jacket storage within the closed container; and at least one resealable access port embedded within a wall of the storage device, wherein the resealable access port is sized to enable insertion and removal of life jackets from the cavity.
18 . The life jacket storage device of claim 17 , further comprising a flexible, waterproof second layer lining an inside of the cushioning.
19 . The life jacket storage device of claim 17 , wherein the resealable access port is a marine-grade zipper or a hook and loop fastener.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
