Abstract

A T-shaped brush head assembly for cleaning hard to reach surfaces includes a brush head, which in turn comprises a housing and a plurality of bristles. The bristles are attached to and extend from the housing. A first set of the bristles and a second set of the bristles are positioned proximate to a first end and a second end of the housing, respectively. The first set of the bristles is volumetrically larger than the second set of the bristles so that the brush head is substantially T-shaped. A user can grasp a handle, which is attached to and which extends from the second end of the housing, to manipulate the brush head to clean a surface.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
I claim:

         1 . A T-shaped brush head assembly comprising:
 a brush head comprising:
 a housing, and
a plurality of bristles attached to and extending from the housing, the plurality of bristles comprising a first set of bristles and a second set of bristles positioned proximate to a first end and a second end of the housing, respectively, the first set of the bristles being volumetrically larger than the second set of the bristles, such that the brush head is substantially T-shaped; and
a handle attached to and extending from the second end of the housing, wherein the handle is configured for grasping in a hand of a user, positioning the user for manipulating the brush head for cleaning a surface.

2 . The T-shaped brush head assembly of claim 1 , wherein the first set of the bristles and the second set of the bristles each have a cross-sectional profile, the cross-sectional profiles are substantially rectangular, substantially square, substantially circular, substantially ovoid, substantially triangular, substantially hexagonal, or substantially octagonal.

         3 . The T-shaped brush head assembly of claim 2 , wherein:
the cross-sectional profiles of the first set of the bristles and the second set of the bristles are substantially rectangular or substantially square; each bristle has a respective length, such that the plurality of bristles comprises bristles having a variety of lengths; and respective bristles are positioned on the housing such that edges of the first set of the bristles and the second set of the bristles are rounded.

         4 . The T-shaped brush head assembly of claim 2 , wherein:
the housing is cylindrical; each bristle has a respective length, such that the plurality of bristles comprises bristles having a variety of lengths; and the cross-sectional profiles of the first set of the bristles and the second set of the bristles are substantially rectangular, substantially square, substantially circular, substantially ovoid, substantially triangular, substantially hexagonal, or substantially octagonal.

5 . The T-shaped brush head assembly of claim 1 , wherein the handle comprises elastomer, such that the handle is resiliently flexible.

6 . The T-shaped brush head assembly of claim 5 , wherein the handle comprises a first section and a second section, the first section extends substantially linearly from the second end of the housing, the second section extends angularly from the first section.

7 . The T-shaped brush head assembly of claim 6 , wherein the second section comprises a conical segment distal from the first section, wherein the conical segment is configured to deter slippage of the hand of the user from the handle.

         8 . The T-shaped brush head assembly of claim 1 , wherein:
the housing is cylindrical; the first set of the bristles and the second set of the bristles each have a cross-sectional profile, the cross-sectional profiles are substantially rectangular, substantially square, substantially circular, substantially ovoid, substantially triangular, substantially hexagonal, or substantially octagonal, each bristle has a respective length, such that the plurality of bristles comprises bristles having a variety of lengths; the handle comprises elastomer, such that the handle is resiliently flexible; the handle comprises a first section and a second section, the first section extends substantially linearly from the second end of the housing, the second section extends angularly from the first section; and the second section comprises a conical segment distal from the first section, wherein the conical segment is configured to deter slippage of the hand of the user from the handle.

         9 . The T-shaped brush head assembly of claim 8 , wherein:
the cross-sectional profiles of the first set of the bristles and the second set of the bristles are substantially rectangular or substantially square; and respective bristles are positioned on the housing such that edges of the first set of the bristles and the second set of the bristles are rounded.

10 . A method of cleaning a surface comprising the steps of:
providing a T-shaped brush head assembly comprising:
 a brush head comprising:
 a housing, and
a plurality of bristles attached to and extending from the housing, the plurality of bristles comprising a first set of bristles and a second set of bristles positioned proximate to a first end and a second end of the housing, respectively, the first set of the bristles being volumetrically larger than the second set of the bristles, such that the brush head is substantially T-shaped, and

 a handle attached to and extending from the second end of the housing;
grasping the handle in a hand of a user; and manipulating the brush head on a surface such that the bristles clean the surface.

11 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the first set of the bristles and the second set of the bristles each have a cross-sectional profile, the cross-sectional profiles are substantially rectangular, substantially square, substantially circular, substantially ovoid, substantially triangular, substantially hexagonal, or substantially octagonal.

         12 . The T-shaped brush head assembly of claim 11 , wherein:
the cross-sectional profiles of the first set of the bristles and the second set of the bristles are substantially rectangular or substantially square; each bristle has a respective length, such that the plurality of bristles comprises bristles having a variety of lengths; and respective bristles are positioned on the housing such that edges of the first set of the bristles and the second set of the bristles are rounded.
