Abstract
Facilitating a transmission power dependent resource reservation protocol in advanced networks (e.g., 5G, 6G, and beyond) is provided herein. Operations of a method can comprise defining, by a system comprising a memory and a processor, a resource reservation procedure that associates respective amounts of reserved resources available for the mobile device based on a transmission power level of the mobile device. The method also can comprise selecting, by the system, an amount of reserved resources from the respective amounts of reserved resources available based on the transmission power level of the mobile device.

1 . A method, comprising:
based on defined transmission power level ranges, determining, by a system comprising a processor, a group of levels for a resource reservation procedure, wherein the levels of the group of levels comprise respective associated number of resources that are able to be reserved for a defined transmission power range of the defined transmission power level ranges; and selecting, by the system, a level from the group of levels based on a transmission power level of a user equipment being determined to be within a defined transmission level range of the defined transmission power level ranges.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the selecting comprises:
selecting a first level of the group of levels based on a first transmission power level of the user equipment being determined to be within a first defined transmission level range of the defined transmission power level ranges, or selecting a second level of the group of levels based on a second transmission power level of the user equipment being determined to be within a second defined transmission level range of the defined transmission power level ranges.
3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the group of levels further comprise a third level and at least a fourth level, and wherein the selecting further comprises:
selecting the third level based on a third transmission power level of the user equipment being determined to be within a third defined transmission level range of the defined transmission power level ranges, or selecting the fourth level based on a fourth transmission power level of the user equipment being determined to be within a fourth defined transmission level range of the defined transmission power level ranges.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the determining of the group of levels comprises defining a length of a reservation period per signaling based on the defined transmission power level ranges.
5 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the determining of the group of levels comprises establishing a first reservation period of a first level to be shorter than a second reservation period of a second level.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein a first transmission power level is a higher transmission power level than a second transmission power level, wherein a first level comprises a first number of resources that is reservable and a second level comprises a second number of resources that is reservable, and wherein the first number of resources is less than the second number of resources.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the resource reservation procedure is a first resource reservation procedure, and wherein the method further comprises:
determining, by the system, a parameter to be used for a second resource reservation procedure based on an amount of network traffic within a communications network satisfying a defined traffic level, wherein the second resource reservation procedure comprises fewer reserved resources being available for the user equipment as compared to the first resource reservation procedure.
8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the resource reservation procedure is configured to operate according to at least a fifth generation network communication protocol.
9 . A system, comprising:
a processor; and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, facilitate performance of operations, comprising:
defining a group of levels for a resource reservation procedure, wherein respective levels of the group of levels are based on respective transmission power level ranges, and wherein the respective levels comprise respective associated number of reservable resources; and
based on a current transmission power level of a user equipment, selecting, from the group of levels, a level, from the group of levels, that corresponds to the current transmission power level of the user equipment, resulting in a selected level.
10 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the selecting comprises:
selecting a first level of the group of levels based on a first transmission power level of the user equipment being within a first defined transmission level range of the respective transmission power level ranges, or selecting a second level of the group of levels based on a second transmission power level of the user equipment being within a second defined transmission level range of the respective transmission power level ranges.
11 . The system of claim 10 , wherein the first transmission power level is a higher transmission power level than the second transmission power level, wherein the first level comprises a first number of resources that is able to be reserved and the second level comprises a second number of resources that is able to be reserved, and wherein the first number of resources is less than the second number of resources.
12 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the defining comprises defining a length of a reservation period per signaling based on the respective transmission power level ranges.
13 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the defining comprises allocating a duration of reservation per signaling based on a transmit power level of the user equipment.
14 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the defining comprises mapping a transmit power level of the user equipment to a maximal number of resources available to be reserved by the user equipment.
15 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the operations further comprise:
mitigating an amount of network traffic congestion in a communications network, wherein the mitigating comprises controlling an effectiveness of a quantity of reserved resources based on the defining.
16 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the defining comprises disabling a reservation of resources based on the current transmission power level of the user equipment being a maximum transmission power level.
17 . A non-transitory machine-readable medium, comprising executable instructions that, when executed by a processor, facilitate performance of operations, comprising:
establishing a resource reservation procedure that defines a group of levels, wherein the levels of the group of levels are based on defined transmission power level ranges and comprise respective associated number of resources that are able to be reserved for a defined transmission power range of the defined transmission power level ranges; and selecting a level from the group of levels, comprising:
selecting a first level of the group of levels based on a first transmission power level of a user equipment being within a first defined transmission level range of the defined transmission power level ranges; or
selecting a second level of the group of levels based on a second transmission power level of the user equipment being within a second defined transmission level range of the defined transmission power level ranges.
18 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 17 , wherein the establishing of the resource reservation procedure comprises defining a length of a reservation period per signaling based on the defined transmission power level ranges.

The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 17 , wherein the first transmission power level is a higher transmission power level than the second transmission power level, wherein the first level comprises a first number of resources that is capable of being reserved and the second level comprises a second number of resources that is capable of being reserved, and wherein the first number of resources is less than the second number of resources.
20 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 17 , wherein the resource reservation procedure is a first resource reservation procedure, and wherein the operations further comprise:
