Abstract

A pharmaceutical includes helper T cells induced from pluripotent stem cells. The helper T cells include CD4-positive CD40L-highly expressing T cells, dendritic cells, antigen, and cytotoxic T cells CD8-positive T cells. The pharmaceutical can be administered in a method for treating cancer to a patient having cancer cells expressing an antigen specifically recognized by CD4-positive T cells.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . A pharmaceutical comprising helper T cells induced from pluripotent stem cells, the helper T cells comprising CD4-positive CD40L-highly expressing T cells, dendritic cells, antigen and cytotoxic T cells CD8-positive T cells.

2 . The pharmaceutical according to claim 1 , wherein the helper T cells were produced by a method comprising:
 (i) culturing T cells, which have been induced from pluripotent stem cells and into which a CD4 gene or a gene product thereof has been introduced, in a medium containing IL-2 and IL-15; and (ii) isolating CD40L-highly expressing T cells from cells obtained in Step (i).

3 . The pharmaceutical according to claim 1 , wherein the dendritic cells are dendritic cells activated using CD4-positive helper T cells.

4 . The pharmaceutical according to claim 1 , wherein the antigen is a tumor antigen.

5 . The pharmaceutical according to claim 1 , wherein the cytotoxic T cells are CD8-positive T cells.

6 . The pharmaceutical according to claim 1 , wherein the cytotoxic T cells are HLA class I-restricted CD8-positive T cells.

7 . The pharmaceutical according to claim 1 , which is a cancer therapeutic agent.

8 . The pharmaceutical according to claim 1 , for treating a patient having cancer cells expressing an antigen specifically recognized by CD4-positive T cells.

9 . A method for treating a cancer, the method comprising administrating the pharmaceutical according to claim 1 to a patient having cancer cells expressing an antigen specifically recognized by CD4-positive T cells.
