Eye tracking system, eye tracking method, and eye tracking program
Abstract
An eye tracking system according to one embodiment includes at least one processor. The at least one processor is configured to: dynamically set a partial area of first content displayed on a screen as a guidance area to have a user gaze at the partial area; identify first viewpoint coordinates on the screen based on an eye movement of the user gazing at the guidance area; calculate a difference between the first viewpoint coordinates identified and area coordinates of the guidance area on the screen; and calibrate second viewpoint coordinates of the user viewing second content displayed on the screen by using the difference.

10 . An eye tracking system, comprising at least one processor, the at least one processor is configured to:
dynamically set a partial area of first content displayed on a screen as a guidance area to have a user gaze at the partial area; identify first viewpoint coordinates on the screen based on an eye movement of the user gazing at the guidance area; calculate a difference between the first viewpoint coordinates and area coordinates of the guidance area on the screen; and calibrate second viewpoint coordinates of the user viewing second content displayed on the screen by using the difference.
11 . The eye tracking system according to claim 10 , wherein the at least one processor sets the partial area as the guidance area by adjusting a resolution of the screen such that a resolution of the partial area is higher than a resolution of an area other than the partial area.
12 . The eye tracking system according to claim 10 , wherein the at least one processor sets the partial area as the guidance area by performing blurring processing on an area other than the partial area.
13 . The eye tracking system according to claim 10 , wherein the at least one processor sets the partial area as the guidance area by surrounding an outer edge of the partial area with a frame line.
14 . The eye tracking system according to claim 10 , wherein the at least one processor sets an area with a selectable object to be selected by the user as the guidance area.
15 . The eye tracking system according to claim 14 , wherein the at least one processor identifies the first viewpoint coordinates on the screen based on the eye movement of the user when the selectable object is selected.
16 . The eye tracking system according to claim 10 , wherein the at least one processor calculates the difference multiple times while changing a setting position of the guidance area in the first content.
17 . The eye tracking system according to claim 16 , wherein
the difference includes a plurality of differences, and the at least one processor calibrates the second viewpoint coordinates by using a statistical value of the plurality of differences.
18 . An eye tracking method executable by an eye tracking system comprising at least one processor, the method including:
dynamically setting a partial area of first content displayed on a screen as a guidance area to have a user gaze at the partial area; identifying first viewpoint coordinates on the screen based on an eye movement of the user gazing at the guidance area; calculating a difference between the first viewpoint coordinates and area coordinates of the guidance area on the screen; and calibrating second viewpoint coordinates of the user viewing second content displayed on the screen by using the difference.
19 . The eye tracking method according to claim 18 , including setting the partial area as the guidance area by adjusting a resolution of the screen such that a resolution of the partial area is higher than a resolution of an area other than the partial area.
20 . The eye tracking method according to claim 18 , including setting the partial area as the guidance area by performing blurring processing on an area other than the partial area.
21 . The eye tracking method according to claim 18 , including setting the partial area as the guidance area by surrounding an outer edge of the partial area with a frame line.
22 . The eye tracking method according to claim 18 , including setting an area with a selectable object to be selected by the user as the guidance area.
23 . The eye tracking method according to claim 18 , including calculating the difference multiple times while changing a setting position of the guidance area in the first content.
24 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing an eye tracking program that, when executed, causes a computer to execute:
dynamically setting a partial area of first content displayed on a screen as a guidance area to have a user gaze at the partial area; identifying first viewpoint coordinates on the screen based on an eye movement of the user gazing at the guidance area; calculating a difference between the first viewpoint coordinates and area coordinates of the guidance area on the screen; and calibrating second viewpoint coordinates of the user viewing second content displayed on the screen by using the difference.
25 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium according to claim 24 , wherein the eye tracking program causes the computer to execute setting the partial area as the guidance area by adjusting a resolution of the screen such that a resolution of the partial area is higher than a resolution of an area other than the partial area.
26 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium according to claim 24 , wherein the eye tracking program causes the computer to execute setting the partial area as the guidance area by performing blurring processing on an area other than the partial area.
27 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium according to claim 24 , wherein the eye tracking program causes the computer to execute setting the partial area as the guidance area by surrounding an outer edge of the partial area with a frame line.
28 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium according to claim 24 , wherein the eye tracking program causes the computer to execute setting an area with a selectable object to be selected by the user as the guidance area.
29 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium according to claim 24 , wherein the eye tracking program causes the computer to execute calculating the difference multiple times while changing a setting position of the guidance area in the first content.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
