Abstract

A tangible non-transitory computer readable medium includes instructions that, when executed by a processor, are configured to cause the processor to detect a movement state of an agricultural implement and automatically retract a stabilizer of a stabilization system from an extended position to a retracted position in response to detecting the movement state of the agricultural implement. The stabilizer is connected to a rear portion of a frame of the agricultural implement, and the stabilizer is configured to support a weight of the rear portion while in the extended position.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A tangible non-transitory computer readable medium, comprising instructions that, when executed by a processor, are configured to cause the processor to:
detect a movement state of an agricultural implement; and automatically retract a stabilizer of a stabilization system from an extended position to a retracted position in response to detecting the movement state of the agricultural implement, wherein the stabilizer is connected to a rear portion of a frame of the agricultural implement, and the stabilizer is configured to support a weight of the rear portion while in the extended position.

2 . The tangible non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 1 , wherein the rear portion is a section of the frame behind a center of mass of the frame.

3 . The tangible non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 1 , wherein the stabilizer is in the form of a jack.

4 . The tangible non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 1 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the processor, are configured to cause the processor to:
detect disconnection of the agricultural implement from an agricultural vehicle; and automatically extend the stabilizer from the retracted position to the extended position in response to determining the disconnection.

5 . The tangible non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 4 , wherein the disconnection of the agricultural implement from the agricultural vehicle is detected in response to unhitching a hitch of the agricultural implement from the agricultural vehicle.

6 . The tangible non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 1 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the processor, are configured to cause the processor to receive a signal from a sensor indicative of a shift selection, and the movement state of the agricultural implement is detected in response to the shift selection being a drive shift selection.

7 . The tangible non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 1 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the processor, are configured to cause the processor to receive a signal from a sensor indicative of a speed of the agricultural implement, and the movement state of the agricultural implement is detected in response to the speed being greater than zero.

8 . A tangible non-transitory computer readable medium, comprising instructions that, when executed by a processor, are configured to cause the processor to:
detect disconnection of an agricultural implement from an agricultural vehicle; and automatically extend a stabilizer of a stabilization system from a retracted position to an extended position in response to determining the disconnection, wherein the stabilizer is connected to a rear portion of a frame of the agricultural implement, and the stabilizer is configured to support a weight of the rear portion while in the extended position.

9 . The tangible non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the disconnection of the agricultural implement from the agricultural vehicle is detected in response to unhitching a hitch of the agricultural implement from the agricultural vehicle.

10 . The tangible non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the rear portion is a section of the frame behind a center of mass of the frame.

11 . The tangible non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the stabilizer is in the form of a jack.

12 . An agricultural system, comprising:
a controller comprising a memory, wherein the controller is configured to:
detect a movement state of an agricultural implement; and
automatically retract a stabilizer of a stabilization system from an extended position to a retracted position in response to detecting the movement state of the agricultural implement, wherein the stabilizer is connected to a rear portion of a frame of the agricultural implement, and the stabilizer is configured to support a weight of the rear portion while in the extended position.

13 . The agricultural system of claim 12 , comprising the agricultural implement, wherein the rear portion is a section of the frame behind a center of mass of the frame.

14 . The agricultural system of claim 13 , wherein the agricultural implement comprises a plurality of ground engaging tools connected to the rear portion.

15 . The agricultural system of claim 13 , wherein the frame has a front portion, and the front portion comprises a hitch.

16 . The agricultural system of claim 12 , comprising the stabilization system, wherein the stabilizer is in the form of a jack.

17 . The agricultural system of claim 16 , wherein the stabilization system comprises a remote switch operably connected to the stabilizer, and the remote switch is configured to override controller control of the stabilizer.

18 . The agricultural system of claim 12 , wherein the controller is configured to:
detect disconnection of the agricultural implement from an agricultural vehicle; and automatically extend the stabilizer from the retracted position to the extended position in response to determining the disconnection.

19 . The agricultural system of claim 12 , comprising a sensor, wherein the controller is configured to:
receive a signal from the sensor indicative of a shift selection; and detect the movement state of the agricultural implement in response to the shift selection being a drive shift selection.

20 . The agricultural system of claim 12 , comprising a sensor, wherein the controller is configured to:
receive a signal from the sensor indicative of a speed of the agricultural implement; and determine the movement state of the agricultural implement in response to the speed being greater than zero.
