Claims

Abstract

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may select a first communication, associated with a first traffic type, or a second communication, associated with a second traffic type, as a selected communication for transmission in an overlapping resource, wherein the first communication and the second communication at least partially overlap in time, and wherein the selection is performed based at least in part on a rule; and transmit the selected communication. Numerous other aspects are provided.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A user equipment (UE) for wireless communication, comprising:
 a memory; and   one or more processors, coupled to the memory, configured to:
 select, based at least in part on a rule, a first communication, associated with an ultra-reliable low-latency communication traffic type, or a second communication, associated with an enhanced mobile broadband traffic type, as a selected communication for transmission when the first communication and the second communication at least partially overlap in time,
 wherein the rule is based at least in part on respective priority levels of the first communication and the second communication; and 
 
 transmit the selected communication. 
   
     
     
         2 . The UE of  claim 1 , wherein at least one of the first communication or the second communication comprises a positive scheduling request or a data channel with a configured grant. 
     
     
         3 . The UE of  claim 1 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to: receive configuration information including information associated with one or more of the respective priority levels of the first communication and the second communication. 
     
     
         4 . The UE of  claim 3 , wherein the configuration information is received via a radio resource control (RRC) information element (IE). 
     
     
         5 . The UE of  claim 3 , wherein the configuration information comprises an indicator indicating the one or more of the respective priority levels of the first communication and the second communication. 
     
     
         6 . The UE of  claim 1 , wherein the rule indicates that the first communication is always selected based at least in part on the first communication being an ultra-reliable low-latency communication and the second communication being an enhanced mobile broadband communication. 
     
     
         7 . The UE of  claim 1 , wherein a priority level of at least one of the first communication or the second communication is indicated by respective uplink configured grant configurations of the ultra-reliable low-latency communication traffic type and the enhanced mobile broadband traffic type. 
     
     
         8 . The UE of  claim 1 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to: drop another communication, of the first communication and the second communication, different from the selected communication. 
     
     
         9 . A method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE), comprising:
 selecting, based at least in part on a rule, a first communication, associated with an ultra-reliable low-latency communication traffic type, or a second communication, associated with an enhanced mobile broadband traffic type, as a selected communication for transmission when the first communication and the second communication at least partially overlap in time,
 wherein the rule is based at least in part on respective priority levels of the first communication and the second communication; and 
   transmitting the selected communication.   
     
     
         10 . The method of  claim 9 , wherein at least one of the first communication or the second communication comprises a positive scheduling request or a data channel with a configured grant. 
     
     
         11 . The method of  claim 9 , further comprising:
 receiving configuration information including information associated with one or more of the respective priority levels of the first communication and the second communication.   
     
     
         12 . The method of  claim 11 , wherein the configuration information is received via a radio resource control (RRC) information element (IE). 
     
     
         13 . The method of  claim 11 , wherein the configuration information comprises an indicator indicating the one or more of the respective priority levels of the first communication and the second communication. 
     
     
         14 . The method of  claim 9 , wherein the rule indicates that the first communication is always selected based at least in part on the first communication being an ultra-reliable low-latency communication and the second communication being an enhanced mobile broadband communication. 
     
     
         15 . The method of  claim 9 , wherein a priority level of at least one of the first communication or the second communication is indicated by respective uplink configured grant configurations of the ultra-reliable low-latency communication traffic type and the enhanced mobile broadband traffic type. 
     
     
         16 . The method of  claim 9 , further comprising:
 dropping another communication, of the first communication and the second communication, different from the selected communication.   
     
     
         17 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing a set of instructions for wireless communication, the set of instructions comprising:
 one or more instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a user equipment (UE), cause the UE to:
 select, based at least in part on a rule, a first communication, associated with an ultra-reliable low-latency communication traffic type, or a second communication, associated with an enhanced mobile broadband traffic type, as a selected communication for transmission when the first communication and the second communication at least partially overlap in time,
 wherein the rule is based at least in part on respective priority levels of the first communication and the second communication; and 
 
 transmit the selected communication. 
   
     
     
         18 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of  claim 17 , wherein at least one of the first communication or the second communication comprises a positive scheduling request or a data channel with a configured grant. 
     
     
         19 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of  claim 17 , wherein the one or more instructions further cause the UE to:
 receive configuration information including information associated with one or more of the respective priority levels of the first communication and the second communication.   
     
     
         20 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of  claim 19 , wherein the configuration information is received via a radio resource control (RRC) information element (IE). 
     
     
         21 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of  claim 19 , wherein the configuration information comprises an indicator indicating the one or more of the respective priority levels of the first communication and the second communication. 
     
     
         22 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of  claim 17 , wherein the rule indicates that the first communication is always selected based at least in part on the first communication being an ultra-reliable low-latency communication and the second communication being an enhanced mobile broadband communication. 
     
     
         23 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of  claim 17 , wherein a priority level of at least one of the first communication or the second communication is indicated by respective uplink configured grant configurations of the ultra-reliable low-latency communication traffic type and the enhanced mobile broadband traffic type. 
     
     
         24 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of  claim 17 , wherein the one or more instructions further cause the UE to:
 drop another communication, of the first communication and the second communication, different from the selected communication.   
     
     
         25 . An apparatus for wireless communication, comprising:
 means for selecting, based at least in part on a rule, a first communication, associated with an ultra-reliable low-latency communication traffic type, or a second communication, associated with an enhanced mobile broadband traffic type, as a selected communication for transmission when the first communication and the second communication at least partially overlap in time,
 wherein the rule is based at least in part on respective priority levels of the first communication and the second communication; and 
   means for transmitting the selected communication.   
     
     
         26 . The apparatus of  claim 25 , wherein at least one of the first communication or the second communication comprises a positive scheduling request or a data channel with a configured grant. 
     
     
         27 . The apparatus of  claim 25 , further comprising:
 means for receiving configuration information including information associated with one or more of the respective priority levels of the first communication and the second communication.   
     
     
         28 . The apparatus of  claim 27 , wherein the configuration information is received via a radio resource control (RRC) information element (IE). 
     
     
         29 . The apparatus of  claim 27 , wherein the configuration information comprises an indicator indicating the one or more of the respective priority levels of the first communication and the second communication. 
     
     
         30 . The apparatus of  claim 25 , wherein the rule indicates that the first communication is always selected based at least in part on the first communication being an ultra-reliable low-latency communication and the second communication being an enhanced mobile broadband communication.
