Birthday Cake Blower Device

Abstract

The present invention relates to a novel birthday cake blower device that is designed to minimize the spread of bacteria, pathogens, viruses, and germs that cause infection. The device comprises a small, narrow plastic tube with an enlarged circular base at the end. Further, the device comprises a mouthpiece positioned at the opposite end of the circular base, with a built-in filter and an internal button-activated UV light. A user then blows into the mouthpiece and points the circular base towards the birthday candles. Thus, the device effectively stops the spread of infection when expelling air, along with whatever else comes out of a user's mouth, when trying to blow out candles on a cake.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A birthday cake blower device for minimizing a spread of bacteria, pathogens, viruses and germs that cause infection, the birthday cake blower device comprising:
 a body component comprising a narrow tube, an enlarged circular base, and a mouthpiece;   wherein the enlarged circular base is secured to a first end of the narrow tube, and the mouthpiece is secured to a second end of the narrow tube;   a built-in filter positioned on the mouthpiece; and   an internal ultraviolet (UV) light to effectively stop the spread of bacteria, pathogens, viruses and germs when expelling air.   
     
     
         2 . The birthday cake blower device of  claim 1 , wherein the internal UV light is controlled via an external switch. 
     
     
         3 . The birthday cake blower device of  claim 2 , wherein the built-in filter comprises an inlet and an outlet, and further wherein the inlet receives air through the built-in filter and the outlet is positioned in a direction of a plurality of candles on a birthday cake to be extinguished. 
     
     
         4 . The birthday cake blower device of  claim 1  further comprising a sound generator positioned in front of the built-in filter for playing a song. 
     
     
         5 . The birthday cake blower device of  claim 1 , wherein the body component comprises indicia. 
     
     
         6 . The birthday cake blower device of  claim 1 , wherein the body component comprises a decorative cover. 
     
     
         7 . The birthday cake blower device of  claim 6 , wherein the decorative cover and the body component share a similar shape. 
     
     
         8 . The birthday cake blower device of  claim 7 , wherein the decorative cover is a lightweight plastic sleeve. 
     
     
         9 . The birthday cake blower device of  claim 8 , wherein the decorative cover comprises indicia. 
     
     
         10 . The birthday cake blower device of  claim 1 , wherein the body component comprises a handgrip component. 
     
     
         11 . The birthday cake blower device of  claim 10 , wherein the handgrip component comprises a textured outer surface to facilitate gripping by a user. 
     
     
         12 . The birthday cake blower device of  claim 1 , wherein the birthday cake blower device is disposable and designed for a single use. 
     
     
         13 . The birthday cake blower device of  claim 1 , wherein the birthday cake blower device is a multi-use device. 
     
     
         14 . A birthday cake blower device for minimizing the spread of bacteria, pathogens, viruses, and germs that cause infection comprising:
 a body component comprising a textured outer surface to facilitate gripping by a user;   a narrow tube;   an enlarged circular base;   a mouthpiece, wherein the enlarged circular base is secured to a first end of the narrow tube and the mouthpiece is secured to a second end of the narrow tube;   a built-in filter comprising an inlet and an outlet, wherein the inlet receives air through the built-in filter and said air is discharged through the outlet; and   an internal ultraviolet (UV) light controlled via an external switch.   
     
     
         15 . The birthday cake blower device of  claim 14  further comprising a sound generator positioned in front of the built-in filter for playing an audible sound. 
     
     
         16 . The birthday cake blower device of  claim 14 , wherein the body component comprises indicia. 
     
     
         17 . The birthday cake blower device of  claim 14 , wherein the body component comprises a decorative cover. 
     
     
         18 . The birthday cake blower device of  claim 14 , wherein the birthday cake blower device is disposable and designed for a single use. 
     
     
         19 . The birthday cake blower device of  claim 14 , wherein the birthday cake blower device is a multi-use device. 
     
     
         20 . A method of blowing out birthday candles without spreading germs on a birthday cake, the method comprising the steps of:
 providing a birthday cake blower device comprising an enlarged circular base, a narrow plastic tube, and a mouthpiece, wherein the mouthpiece comprises a filter and an internal UV light;   positioning the birthday cake blower device in front of the birthday candles on the birthday cake;   turning on the external switch to activate the internal UV light;   blowing into the mouthpiece of the birthday cake blower device, such that the filter and the internal UV light stops the spread of infection when expelling air onto the birthday cake; and   enjoying the birthday cake without worry of a presence of germs, bacteria, pathogens or viruses on the birthday cake.
