Abstract
A bracket for a hose of a vehicle system. The bracket having a hook and a mounting segment. The hook allows free movement of the hose while cradling the hose to prevent the hose from rubbing against abrasive or high temperature surfaces. The mounting segment includes an anti-rotation segment which abuts a mounting point to prevent rotation of the bracket. The bracket also includes gussets which reinforce the bending resistance of the bracket.

1 . A bracket configured to hold a hose of a vehicle, the bracket comprising:
an intermediate segment; a mounting segment extending from a first end of the intermediate segment, the mounting segment defining a planar surface having a thickness, and the mounting segment including a fastening aperture formed through the thickness of the planar surface; a hook extending from a second end of the intermediate segment, the hook, when the hose of the vehicle is disposed at the bracket, supporting the hose; and an anti-rotation segment extending laterally from the mounting segment and along the planar surface of the mounting segment adjacent to the fastening aperture.
2 . The bracket of claim 1 , wherein the anti-rotation segment extends from the mounting segment substantially perpendicular to the planar surface of the mounting segment.
3 . The bracket of claim 1 , wherein the fastening aperture, when the bracket is disposed at a fastening point of the vehicle, receives a fastener that attaches to the fastening point of the vehicle to fasten the bracket onto the fastening point of the vehicle.
4 . The bracket of claim 3 , wherein the anti-rotation segment, when the bracket is fastened onto the fastening point of the vehicle, abuts against the fastening point to impede rotation of the bracket relative to the fastening point when the fastening aperture receives the fastener.
5 . The bracket of claim 1 , wherein the hose, when the hook is supporting the hose, moves independently of the hook.
6 . The bracket of claim 1 , wherein the bracket comprises a gusset formed on the bracket that resists bending of the bracket.
7 . The bracket of claim 6 , wherein the gusset is formed on the bracket between the intermediate segment and one of:
the mounting segment; and the hook.
8 . The bracket of claim 6 , wherein the bracket comprises:
a first gusset formed on the bracket between the intermediate segment and the mounting segment; and a second gusset formed on the bracket between the intermediate segment and the hook.
9 . The bracket of claim 1 , wherein the bracket comprises a corrosion resistant material.
10 . A bracket configured to be fastened onto a fastening point of a vehicle, the bracket comprising:
an intermediate segment; a mounting segment extending from a first end of the intermediate segment, the mounting segment defining a planar surface having a thickness, and the mounting segment including a fastening aperture formed through the thickness of the planar surface, and the fastening aperture, when the bracket is disposed at the fastening point of the vehicle, receives a fastener that attaches to the fastening point of the vehicle to fasten the bracket onto the fastening point of the vehicle; a hook extending from a second end of the intermediate segment, the hook, when a hose of the vehicle is disposed at the bracket, supporting the hose; and an anti-rotation segment extending laterally from the mounting segment and along the planar surface of the mounting segment adjacent to the fastening aperture.
11 . The bracket of claim 10 , wherein the anti-rotation segment extends from the mounting segment substantially perpendicular to the planar surface of the mounting segment.
12 . The bracket of claim 10 , wherein the anti-rotation segment, when the bracket is fastened onto the fastening point of the vehicle, abuts against the fastening point to impede rotation of the bracket relative to the fastening point when the fastening aperture receives the fastener.
13 . The bracket of claim 10 , wherein the hose, when the hook is supporting the hose, moves independently of the hook.
14 . The bracket of claim 10 , wherein the bracket comprises a gusset formed on the bracket that resists bending of the bracket.
15 . The bracket of claim 14 , wherein the gusset is formed on the bracket between the intermediate segment and one of:
the mounting segment; and the hook.
16 . The bracket of claim 14 , wherein the bracket comprises:
a first gusset formed on the bracket between the intermediate segment and the mounting segment; and a second gusset formed on the bracket between the intermediate segment and the hook.
17 . The bracket of claim 10 , wherein the bracket comprises a corrosion resistant material.
18 . A vehicle, the vehicle comprising:
a fluid system including a hose; a fastening point; and a bracket fastened onto the fastening point and supporting the hose, the bracket comprising:
an intermediate segment;
a mounting segment extending from a first end of the intermediate segment, the mounting segment defining a planar surface having a thickness, and the mounting segment including a fastening aperture formed through the thickness of the planar surface, and the fastening aperture receiving a fastener attached to the fastening point of the vehicle to fasten the bracket onto the fastening point of the vehicle;
a hook extending from a second end of the intermediate segment, the hook supporting the hose; and
an anti-rotation segment extending laterally from the mounting segment and along the planar surface of the mounting segment adjacent to the fastening aperture, the anti-rotation segment abutting against the fastening point to impede rotation of the bracket relative to the fastening point.
19 . The vehicle of claim 18 , wherein the anti-rotation segment extends from the mounting segment substantially perpendicular to the planar surface of the mounting segment.
20 . The vehicle of claim 18 , wherein the hose moves independently of the hook.
21 . The vehicle of claim 18 , wherein the bracket comprises a gusset formed on the bracket that resists bending of the bracket.
22 . The vehicle of claim 21 , wherein the gusset is formed on the bracket between the intermediate segment and one of:
the mounting segment; and the hook.
23 . The vehicle of claim 21 , wherein the bracket comprises:
a first gusset formed on the bracket between the intermediate segment and the mounting segment; and a second gusset formed on the bracket between the intermediate segment and the hook.
24 . The vehicle of claim 18 , wherein the bracket comprises a corrosion resistant material.
25 . The vehicle of claim 18 , wherein the fluid system of the vehicle comprises one of:
a battery system; a cooling system; a transmission system; a brake system; an HVAC system; and an exhaust system.
