Abstract
An apparatus for facilitating soft tossing of balls for players. The apparatus includes a body, a launching device, a storage device, a timer, and an output device. The body includes a top side and a bottom side opposing the top side. The body includes a launching platform on the top side. The launching platform includes a launching station on the launching platform. The launching device is coupled with the launching station and launches a ball disposable on the launching station in an upwardly vertical direction in relation to the launching platform for soft tossing the ball based on signals. The storage device stores timing information. The timer is communicatively coupled with the storage device and the launching device and generates the signals based on initiating the timer and the timing information. The output device is communicatively coupled with the timer and presents an output based on the signals.

a body comprising a top side and a bottom side opposing the top side, wherein the body is disposable on a surface, wherein the body comprises a launching platform on the top side of the body, wherein the launching platform comprises at least one launching station on the launching platform; at least one launching device disposed in the body, wherein the at least one launching device is coupled to the at least one launching station, wherein the at least one launching device is configured for launching at least one ball disposable on the at least one launching station in an upwardly vertical direction in relation to the launching platform for soft tossing the at least one ball for at least one player; a storage device disposed in the body, wherein the storage device is configured for storing at least one timing information associated with a timing of the launching of the at least one ball from the at least one launching station; a timer disposed in the body, wherein the timer is communicatively coupled with the storage device and the at least one launching device, wherein the timer is configured for generating one or more signals associated with the launching of the at least one ball based on initiating the timer and the at least one timing information, wherein the launching of the at least one ball disposable on the at least one launching station in the upwardly vertical direction in relation to the launching platform is based on the one or more signals; and at least one output device disposed in the body, wherein the at least one output device is communicatively coupled with the timer, wherein the at least one output device is configured for presenting at least one output indicative of the launching of the at least one ball based on the one or more signals.

The apparatus of claim 1 further comprising at least one feed rail coupled with the body, wherein the at least one feed rail corresponds to the at least one launching station, wherein the at least one feed rail is configured for transferring at least one first ball from a plurality of balls held by the at least one feed rail to the at least one launching station for disposing the at least one first ball in the at least one launching station after the launching of the at least one ball from the at least one launching station.
3 . The apparatus of claim 1 further comprising:
a communication interface disposed in the body, wherein the communication interface is configured for receiving at least one input from at least one input device; and
a processing device disposed in the body, wherein the processing device is communicatively coupled with the communication interface and the storage device, wherein the processing device is configured for:
analyzing the at least one input; and
generating the at least one timing information based on the analyzing of the at least one input, wherein the storing of the at least one timing information is further based on the generating.
4 . The apparatus of claim 1 further comprising:
at least one sensor disposed in the body, wherein the at least one sensor is configured for generating at least one ball data associated with the at least one ball disposable on the at least one launching station based on detecting at least one ball characteristic of the at least one ball; and
a processing device disposed in the body, wherein the processing device is communicatively coupled with the at least one sensor, wherein the processing device is configured for:
analyzing the at least one ball data; and
generating at least one value for at least one ball launching parameter of the at least one launching device based on the analyzing of the at least one ball data, wherein the at least one launching device is communicatively coupled with the processing device, wherein the at least one launching device is configured for configuring the at least one ball launching parameter based on the at least one value, wherein the launching of the at least one ball is further based on the configuring.
5 . The apparatus of claim 1 further a processing device disposed in body, wherein the processing device is configured for:
analyzing at least one preference data associated with a preference of the at least one player in relation to the launching of the at least one ball;
determining at least one launching characteristic associated with the launching of the at least one ball based on the analyzing of the at least one preference data; and
generating at least one command for the at least one launching device based on the determining, wherein the at least one launching device is communicatively coupled with the processing device, wherein the launching of the at least one ball from the at least one launching station is further based on the at least one command.

The apparatus of claim 5 further comprising a communication interface disposed in the body, wherein the communication interface is communicatively coupled with the processing device, wherein the communication interface is configured for receiving the at least one preference data from at least one user device.

The apparatus of claim 5 further comprising at least one first sensor disposed in the body, wherein the at least one first sensor is communicatively coupled with the processing device, wherein the at least one first sensor is configured for generating the at least one preference data based on capturing at least one response of the at least one player.

The apparatus of claim 5 further comprising at least one second sensor disposed in the body, wherein the at least one second sensor is communicatively coupled with the processing device, wherein the at least one second sensor is configured for generating at least one player data based on detecting the at least one player, wherein the processing device is further configured for:
analyzing the at least one player data; and
determining at least one player characteristic of the at least one player based on the analyzing of the at least one player data, wherein the determining of the at least one launching characteristic is further based on the at least one player characteristic
9 . The apparatus of claim 1 further comprising:
at least one sensor disposed in the body, wherein the at least one sensor is configured for generating at least one player data based on detecting the at least one player; and
a processing device disposed in the body, wherein the processing device is communicatively coupled with the at least one sensor, wherein the processing device is configured for:
analyzing the at least one player data;
determining a posture of the at least one player based on the analyzing of the at least one player data; and
generating a timer initiating command based on the determining of the posture, wherein the timer is communicatively coupled with the processing device, wherein the initiating of the timer is based on the timer initiating command.

The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the at least one output device comprises a speaker, wherein the at least one output comprises a sound sequence comprising one or more sounds at one or more intervals, wherein the sound sequence is indicative of the launching of the at least one ball, wherein the speaker is configured for presenting the sound sequence.
11 . The apparatus of claim 1 further comprising:
at least one sensor disposed in the body, wherein the at least one sensor is configured for generating at least one body data based on detecting at least one of a position and an orientation of the body in relation to a home plate disposed on the surface; and
a processing device disposed in the body, wherein the processing device is communicatively coupled with the at least one sensor, wherein the processing device is configured for:
analyzing the at least one body data;
determining a hitting direction for the at least one ball disposable in the at least one launching station before the launching of the at least one ball based on the analyzing of the at least one body data; and
generating a representation of the hitting direction based on the determining, wherein the processing device is communicatively coupled with the at least one output device, wherein the at least one output device is configured for presenting the representation.

The apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the at least one output device comprises an extended reality device, wherein the extended reality device is configured to be worn by the at least one player, wherein the representation comprises an extended reality representation of the hitting direction, wherein the extended reality device is configured for presenting the extended reality representation to the at least one player.

The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the at least one launching device is configured to be electrically actuated, wherein the at least one launching device is configured for imparting a force of at least one amount on the at least one ball based on the electrically actuating of the at least one launching device, wherein the electrically actuating is based on the one or more signals, wherein the launching of the at least one ball is based on the imparting.
14 . An apparatus for facilitating soft tossing of balls for players, the apparatus comprising:
a body comprising a top side and a bottom side opposing the top side, wherein the body is disposable on a surface, wherein the body comprises a launching platform on the top side of the body, wherein the launching platform comprises at least one launching station on the launching platform; at least one launching device disposed in the body, wherein the at least one launching device is coupled to the at least one launching station, wherein the at least one launching device is configured for launching at least one ball disposable on the at least one launching station in an upwardly vertical direction in relation to the launching platform for soft tossing the at least one ball for at least one player; a storage device disposed in the body, wherein the storage device is configured for storing at least one timing information associated with a timing of the launching of the at least one ball from the at least one launching station; a timer disposed in the body, wherein the timer is communicatively coupled with the storage device and the at least one launching device, wherein the timer is configured for generating one or more signals associated with the launching of the at least one ball based on initiating the timer and the at least one timing information, wherein the launching of the at least one ball disposable on the at least one launching station in the upwardly vertical direction in relation to the launching platform is based on the one or more signals; at least one output device disposed in the body, wherein the at least one output device is communicatively coupled with the timer, wherein the at least one output device is configured for presenting at least one output indicative of the launching of the at least one ball based on the one or more signals; and at least one feed rail coupled with the body, wherein the at least one feed rail corresponds to the at least one launching station, wherein the at least one feed rail is configured for transferring at least one first ball from a plurality of balls held by the at least one feed rail to the at least one launching station for disposing the at least one first ball in the at least one launching station after the launching of the at least one ball from the at least one launching station.

The apparatus of claim 14 , wherein the at least one output device comprises a speaker, wherein the at least one output comprises a sound sequence comprising one or more sounds at one or more intervals, wherein the sound sequence is indicative of the launching of the at least one ball, wherein the speaker is configured for presenting the sound sequence.
16 . The apparatus of claim 14 further comprising:
a communication interface disposed in the body, wherein the communication interface is configured for receiving at least one input from at least one input device; and
a processing device disposed in the body, wherein the processing device is communicatively coupled with the communication interface and the storage device, wherein the processing device is configured for:
analyzing the at least one input; and
generating the at least one timing information based on the analyzing of the at least one input, wherein the storing of the at least one timing information is further based on the generating.
17 . The apparatus of claim 14 further a processing device disposed in body, wherein the processing device is configured for:
analyzing at least one preference data associated with a preference of the at least one player in relation to the launching of the at least one ball;
determining at least one launching characteristic associated with the launching of the at least one ball based on the analyzing of the at least one preference data; and
generating at least one command for the at least one launching device based on the determining, wherein the at least one launching device is communicatively coupled with the processing device, wherein the launching of the at least one ball from the at least one launching station is further based on the at least one command.

The apparatus of claim 17 further comprising a communication interface disposed in the body, wherein the communication interface is communicatively coupled with the processing device, wherein the communication interface is configured for receiving the at least one preference data from at least one user device.

The apparatus of claim 17 further comprising at least one first sensor disposed in the body, wherein the at least one first sensor is communicatively coupled with the processing device, wherein the at least one first sensor is configured for generating the at least one preference data based on capturing at least one response of the at least one player.
20 . An apparatus for facilitating soft tossing of balls for players, the apparatus comprising:
a body comprising a top side and a bottom side opposing the top side, wherein the body is disposable on a surface, wherein the body comprises a launching platform on the top side of the body, wherein the launching platform comprises at least one launching station on the launching platform; at least one launching device disposed in the body, wherein the at least one launching device is coupled to the at least one launching station, wherein the at least one launching device is configured for launching at least one ball disposable on the at least one launching station in an upwardly vertical direction in relation to the launching platform for soft tossing the at least one ball for at least one player; a storage device disposed in the body, wherein the storage device is configured for storing at least one timing information associated with a timing of the launching of the at least one ball from the at least one launching station; a timer disposed in the body, wherein the timer is communicatively coupled with the storage device and the at least one launching device, wherein the timer is configured for generating one or more signals associated with the launching of the at least one ball based on initiating the timer and the at least one timing information, wherein the launching of the at least one ball disposable on the at least one launching station in the upwardly vertical direction in relation to the launching platform is based on the one or more signals; at least one output device disposed in the body, wherein the at least one output device is communicatively coupled with the timer, wherein the at least one output device is configured for presenting at least one output indicative of the launching of the at least one ball based on the one or more signals, wherein the at least one output device comprises a speaker, wherein the at least one output comprises a sound sequence comprising one or more sounds at one or more intervals, wherein the sound sequence is indicative of the launching of the at least one ball, wherein the speaker is configured for presenting the sound sequence; and at least one feed rail coupled with the body, wherein the at least one feed rail corresponds to the at least one launching station, wherein the at least one feed rail is configured for transferring at least one first ball from a plurality of balls held by the at least one feed rail to the at least one launching station for disposing the at least one first ball in the at least one launching station after the launching of the at least one ball from the at least one launching station.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
