Game system and method of using the same

Abstract

A tossing game gameboard and game that can be enjoyed by two or more people. The tossing game gameboard may include a deck formed of a first material covering a second material, wherein the deck includes an opening that allows an object to pass entirely therethrough. In examples, an elastic modulus of the first material is different than the elastic modulus of the second material. In some examples, the elastic modulus of the first material is greater than the elastic modulus of the second material. In some examples, a thickness of the first material is less than a thickness of the second material. In some examples, a washer may be tossed toward the game gameboard such that the washer passes through the opening.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . An object toss game gameboard comprising:
 a deck formed of a first material covering a second material, wherein the deck includes an opening that allows an object to pass entirely therethrough; and   a frame attached to the deck,   wherein an elastic modulus of the first material is different than the elastic modulus of the second material.   
     
     
         2 . The object toss game gameboard of  claim 1 , wherein the elastic modulus of the first material is greater than the elastic modulus of the second material. 
     
     
         3 . The object toss game gameboard of  claim 2 , wherein a thickness of the first material is less than a thickness of the second material. 
     
     
         4 . The object toss game gameboard of  claim 3 , wherein the object is a washer. 
     
     
         5 . The object toss game gameboard of  claim 1 , wherein the first material includes rubber, and the second material is a metal. 
     
     
         6 . The object toss game gameboard of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 a third material disposed between portions of the first material, wherein the third material covers a portion of the second material.   
     
     
         7 . The object toss game gameboard of  claim 6 , wherein the first material and second material form a repeating pattern. 
     
     
         8 . The object toss game gameboard of  claim 6 , wherein the first material forms a shape within the second material. 
     
     
         9 . The object toss game gameboard of  claim 6 , wherein an upper surface of the first material and the second material are substantially coplanar. 
     
     
         10 . The object toss game gameboard of  claim 9 , wherein a frictional coefficient between the object and first material is different than a frictional coefficient between the object and the second material. 
     
     
         11 . The object toss game gameboard of  claim 1 , wherein a thickness of the first material is less than a thickness of the second material. 
     
     
         12 . The object toss game gameboard of  claim 1 , wherein the opening includes a first opening of a first diameter formed in the first material. 
     
     
         13 . The object toss game gameboard of  claim 12 , wherein the opening includes a second opening of a second diameter formed in the second material, the second diameter being different than the first diameter. 
     
     
         14 . The object toss game gameboard of  claim 1 , further comprising one or more support structures configured to support the deck and frame. 
     
     
         15 . A tossing game for use by one or more players, said game comprising:
 a plurality of tossing objects; and   a gameboard including a deck formed of a first material covering a second material, wherein the deck includes an opening that allows at least one object of the plurality of objects to pass entirely therethrough, and wherein an elastic modulus of the first material is different than the elastic modulus of the second material.   
     
     
         16 . The tossing game of  claim 15 , wherein:
 the plurality of tossing objects include a plurality of washers, and   a thickness of the first material is different from a thickness of the second material.   
     
     
         17 . The tossing game of  claim 16 , wherein the first material includes rubber and the second material is a metal. 
     
     
         18 . The tossing game of  claim 16 , further comprising a third material disposed between portions of the first material, wherein:
 the third material covers a portion of the second material,   the first material and second material form a repeating pattern,   the first material forms a shape within the second material,   an upper surface of the first material and the second material are substantially coplanar, and   a frictional coefficient between the object and first material is different than a frictional coefficient between the object and the second material.   
     
     
         19 . A method for playing an object toss game comprising:
 providing a gameboard and tossing objects, the gameboard including a deck formed of a first material covering a second material, wherein the deck includes an opening that allows an object to pass entirely therethrough, and wherein an elastic modulus of the first material is different than the elastic modulus of the second material;   a first player tossing a first tossing object at the gameboard from a distance from the gameboard;   a second player tossing a second tossing object at the gameboard from substantially the same distance as the first player from the gameboard;   awarding zero or more points to a player whose toss landed on the gameboard and stayed on the gameboard but did not go through the opening;   awarding one or more points to a player whose toss went through the opening; and   declaring a winner of a round to be the player who scored the most points in the round.   
     
     
         20 . The method of  claim 19 , wherein the elastic modulus of the first material is greater than the elastic modulus of the second material.
