Abstract
A method of measuring signals from a surface. The method comprises: placing on the surface a flexible sensing device having an array of coated electrodes, wherein at least one electrode of the array is metallic and is at least partially coated by a polymer; and collecting signals from the sensing device.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A sensing device comprising:
an adhesive film formed with a plurality of openings and having a first side and a second side, wherein said first side is attachable to a skin; and an array of dry electrodes screen-printed on said second side of said film, each electrode having a sensing portion exposed by an opening of said plurality of openings.
2 . The device of claim 1 , wherein said electrode comprise a conductive carbon ink.
3 . The device of claim 1 , wherein said adhesive film is a double-sided adhesive film.
4 . The device of claim 1 , wherein said electrodes are dry.
5 . The device of claim 1 , comprising an electrical coupler configured for connecting said electrodes to a measuring device.
6 . The device of claim 5 , wherein said electrical coupler is a zero-insertion-force (ZIF) coupler.
7 . The device of claim 5 , comprising said measuring device.
8 . The device of claim 7 , wherein said measuring device is configured for measuring EMG signals.
9 . The device of claim 7 , wherein said measuring device is configured for measuring EEG signals.
10 . The device of claim 7 , wherein said measuring device is configured for measuring ECG signals.
11 . The device of claim 7 , wherein said measuring device is configured for measuring EOG signals.
12 . A method of measuring signals from a skin, the method comprising:
placing on the skin a sensing device; and collecting signals from said sensing device; wherein said sensing device comprises: an adhesive film formed with a plurality of openings and having a first side and a second side, wherein said first side is attached to the skin; and an array of dry electrodes screen-printed on said second side of said film, each electrode having a sensing portion exposed by an opening of said plurality of openings.
13 . The method of claim 12 , wherein said electrode comprise a conductive carbon ink.
14 . The method of claim 12 , wherein said adhesive film is a double-sided adhesive film.
15 . The method of claim 12 , wherein said electrodes are dry.
16 . The method of claim 12 , comprising an electrical coupler configured for connecting said electrodes to a measuring device.
17 . The method of claim 12 , wherein said signals comprise EMG signals.
18 . The method of claim 12 , wherein said signals comprise EEG signals.
19 . The method of claim 12 , wherein said signals comprise ECG signals.
20 . The method of claim 12 , wherein said signals comprise EOG signals.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
