Packaging for pillowcase

Abstract

Disclosed is a packaging assembly for a home goods product, including but not limited to a packaging assembly for a pillowcase, and associated methods. The packaging can receive the home goods product in a folded configuration. The packaging can display a first side of the home goods product and a second side of the home goods product, respectively. The first and second sides of the home goods product may be displayed on a common side of the packaging. The materials of the first and second sides may differ by the fabric composition of the material and/or the color of the material.

1 . A packaging comprising:
 a first component having an interior region sized to receive a pillowcase having a first side comprising a first material and a second side comprising a second material, wherein the first material is different from the second material,   a cover for retaining the pillowcase in place within the interior region of the first component, the cover comprising a transparent material; and   a second component sized to receive at least a portion of the first component and the cover when the packaging is in an assembled position such that the first and second materials are visible via the cover on a first side of the packaging.   
     
     
         2 . The packaging of  claim 1 , wherein the cover further comprises:
 a first access point configured to provide touch access to the first side of the pillowcase positioned within the interior region of the first component;   a second access point configured to provide touch access to the second side of the pillowcase positioned within the interior region of the first component.   
     
     
         3 . The packaging of  claim 2 , wherein the first access point and the second access point are exposed and accessible when the packaging is in the assembled position. 
     
     
         4 . An assembly comprising:
 a pillowcase comprising:
 a first side comprising a first material; and 
 a second side comprising a second material, wherein the first material is different from the second material, wherein the pillowcase is positioned within a packaging, the packaging comprising: 
 an interior region sized to receive the pillowcase; 
 a transparent feature for displaying the first side and the second side of the pillowcase on a single side of the packaging when the packaging is in an assembled position with the pillowcase positioned therein in a folded configuration. 
   
     
     
         5 . The assembly of  claim 4 , wherein the packaging further comprises a first access point for providing touch access to the first side of the pillowcase, and a second access point for providing touch access to the second side of the pillowcase. 
     
     
         6 . The assembly of  claim 5 , wherein the first access point and second access point are positioned on a first side of the packaging. 
     
     
         7 . The assembly of  claim 5 , wherein the transparent feature comprises a cut-out within the packaging, the transparent feature further comprising a transparent material positioned over the cut-out. 
     
     
         8 . The assembly of  claim 6 , wherein the transparent feature comprises an additional cut-out within the packaging and a transparent material positioned over the additional cut-out. 
     
     
         9 . The assembly of  claim 4 , wherein the transparent feature is a cover comprising a translucent material positionable over a first component of the packaging, wherein the first component defines the interior region of the packaging. 
     
     
         10 . The assembly of  claim 9 , wherein the cover further comprises at least one access point extending through the cover. 
     
     
         11 . The assembly of  claim 4 , wherein the first material and the second material comprise different colors. 
     
     
         12 . The assembly of  claim 4 , wherein the packaging further comprises a first component defining the interior region of the packaging, and a second component, wherein the first component is sized and shaped to be at least partially received within the second component when the packaging is in the assembled position. 
     
     
         13 . The assembly of  claim 12 , wherein the packaging further comprises a cover positionable over the first component for retaining the pillowcase in place in the interior region of the first component. 
     
     
         14 . The assembly of  claim 13 , wherein the transparent feature is the cover. 
     
     
         15 . The assembly of  claim 13 , wherein the cover comprises a plastic material. 
     
     
         16 . A method comprising:
 providing a pillowcase having a first side and a second side, wherein the first side comprises a first material and the second side comprises a second material that is different from the first material;   performing a plurality of folding operations with respect to the pillowcase for positioning the pillowcase in a folded configuration in which the first material extends substantially across a length or a width of the pillowcase in the folded configuration and in which the second material extends substantially across the length or the width of the pillowcase in the folded configuration;   positioning the pillowcase in the folded configuration in a packaging comprising:
 an interior region sized to receive the pillowcase in the folded configuration; 
 a display feature for providing visual access to the first side and the second side of the pillowcase when the packaging is in an assembled position. 
   
     
     
         17 . The method of  claim 16 , wherein the display feature provides for visual access to each of the first side and the second side of the pillowcase on a common side of the packaging. 
     
     
         18 . The method of  claim 16 , wherein the first material comprises silk and the second material comprises rayon from bamboo. 
     
     
         19 . The method of  claim 16 , wherein the display feature is a transparent feature allowing visual access to the first and second sides of the pillowcase positioned within the packaging in the folded configuration. 
     
     
         20 . The method of  claim 16 , wherein the display feature is at least one access point positioned in the packaging.
