Abstract
A system and method of an intelligent shopping infrastructure is provided. A data storage of current inventory from a plurality of merchants is maintained. User preferences that indicate an item affinity of a user are retrieved. Furthermore, a location of the user is detected. Using the detected location, available inventory, and item affinity, an available item from the current inventory of a merchant located within a predetermined distance to the location of the user that match the item affinity of the user is identified. The available item is presented on a user interface of a client device of the user.

1 . A method comprising:
tracking, by a server, a current location of a mobile device of the user; receiving one or more sets of search parameters; for each set of search parameters and using the current tracked location of the mobile device, identifying, by a hardware processor of the server, a plurality of results within a predetermined distance of the current location; for each set of search parameters, causing presentation, on a user interface of the client device, of the plurality of results; receiving, via the user interface, a selection of a result from the plurality of results for each set of search parameters, each selection of the result causing a node representing the selected result to be positioned on a planning map; causing presentation of the planning map on the mobile device, the planning map including a route between the nodes representing the selected results; detecting user manipulation of at least one of the nodes on the planning map displayed on the mobile device to change a sequence of the nodes on the route between the selected results; and in response to detecting the user manipulation, updating the planning map with the changed sequence of the route between the selected results.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the identifying the plurality of results within a predetermined distance comprises identifying one or more available items the user has previously expressed interest in by:
leaving the available item in an online cart; performing a search for the available item but not purchasing the item; or adding the available item to a wishlist or watchlist.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the user manipulation comprises a selection and movement of the at least one of the nodes.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the user manipulation comprises a selection and deletion of the at least one of the nodes.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of results comprises a plurality of available items and the selection of the result comprises a selection of an available item, the method further comprising:
receiving an indication to hold the available item; and transmitting a notification to a merchant having the available item with instructions to hold the available item.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of results comprises a plurality of available items and the selection of the result comprises a selection of an available item, the method further comprising:
receiving an indication to purchase the available item; processing a purchase transaction for an order including the available item; and transmitting a notification to a merchant with instructions to package the available item for user pick up.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of results comprises a plurality of available items and the selection of the result comprises a selection of an available item, the method further comprising:
receiving an indication to hold at least two versions of the available item; processing a purchase transaction for an order comprising the at least two versions of the available item, the processing comprising charging the user for purchase of the available item; and in response to processing the purchase transaction, transmitting a notification to a merchant with instructions to hold the at least two versions of the available item.
8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the planning map comprises an in-store map of a store and the route between the nodes comprises a route within the store.
9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein:
the identifying the plurality of results comprises determining an item collection, the item collection including at least one item that matches the search parameters; the causing presentation comprises illustrating various items in the item collection with selection fields; and the receiving the selection of a result comprises receiving one or more selections of the various items in the item collection.
10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein:
the receiving the one or more sets of search parameters comprises accessing user affinities of the user from a database; and the identifying the plurality of results comprises performing a search based on the current tracked location of the user and the user affinities.
11 . A system comprising:
one or more processors; and a memory storing instructions that when executed by the one or more processors, causes the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:
tracking a current location of a mobile device of the user;
receiving one or more sets of search parameters;
for each set of search parameters and using the current tracked location of the mobile device, identifying a plurality of results within a predetermined distance of the current location;
for each set of search parameters, causing presentation, on a user interface of the client device, of the plurality of results;
receiving, via the user interface, a selection of a result from the plurality of results for each set of search parameters, each selection of the result causing a node representing the selected result to be positioned on a planning map;
causing presentation of the planning map on the mobile device, the planning map including a route between the nodes representing the selected results;
detecting user manipulation of at least one of the nodes on the planning map displayed on the mobile device to change a sequence of the nodes on the route between the selected results; and
in response to detecting the user manipulation, updating the planning map with the changed sequence of the route between the selected results.
12 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the user manipulation comprises a selection and movement of the at least one of the nodes.
13 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the user manipulation comprises a selection and deletion of the at least one of the nodes.
14 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the plurality of results comprises a plurality of available items and the selection of the result comprises a selection of an available item, the operations further comprising:
receiving an indication to hold the available item; and transmitting a notification to a merchant having the available item with instructions to hold the available item.
15 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the plurality of results comprises a plurality of available items and the selection of the result comprises a selection of an available item, the operations further comprising:
receiving an indication to purchase the available item; processing a purchase transaction for an order including the available item; and transmitting a notification to a merchant with instructions to package the available item for user pick up.
16 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the plurality of results comprises a plurality of available items and the selection of the result comprises a selection of an available item, the operations further comprising:
receiving an indication to hold at least two versions of the available item; processing a purchase transaction for an order comprising the at least two versions of the available item, the processing comprising charging the user for purchase of the available item; and in response to processing the purchase transaction, transmitting a notification to a merchant with instructions to hold the at least two versions of the available item.
17 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the planning map comprises an in-store map of a store and the route between the nodes comprises a route within the store.
18 . The system of claim 11 , wherein:
the identifying the plurality of results comprises determining an item collection, the item collection including at least one item that matches the search parameters; the causing presentation comprises illustrating various items in the item collection with selection fields; and the receiving the selection of a result comprises receiving one or more selections of the various items in the item collection.
19 . The system of claim 11 , wherein:
the receiving the one or more sets of search parameters comprises accessing user affinities of the user from a database; and the identifying the plurality of results comprises performing a search based on the current tracked location of the user and the user affinities.
20 . A non-transitory machine-storage medium storing instructions which, when executed by the at least one processor of a machine, cause the machine to perform operations comprising:
tracking a current location of a mobile device of the user; receiving one or more sets of search parameters; for each set of search parameters and using the current tracked location of the mobile device, identifying a plurality of results within a predetermined distance of the current location; for each set of search parameters, causing presentation, on a user interface of the client device, of the plurality of results; receiving, via the user interface, a selection of a result from the plurality of results for each set of search parameters, each selection of the result causing a node representing the selected result to be positioned on a planning map; causing presentation of the planning map on the mobile device, the planning map including a route between the nodes representing the selected results; detecting user manipulation of at least one of the nodes on the planning map displayed on the mobile device to change a sequence of the nodes on the route between the selected results; and in response to detecting the user manipulation, updating the planning map with the changed sequence of the route between the selected results.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
