Game for Learning Bible Teachings

Abstract

The present invention relates to a bingo style game system and a method of playing the bingo style game. The game system includes a plurality of custom designed bingo style cards having Bible book names printed on their surface with each name printed in a cell of a grid formed in rows and columns, a plurality of word chips having book names and column identifiers printed thereon wherein the word chips are used by a leader or caller for announcing a combination of column identifier and book name. The book names on the bingo style cards are daubed or marked by players to form a winning combination or pattern to win the game. The game helps individuals to learn book names and scriptures of the Bible while providing fun and entertainment of conventional bingo style games.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A Bible bingo style kit for playing a Bible bingo style game, the Bible bingo style kit comprising:
 a plurality of Bible bingo style cards wherein each of the plurality of Bible bingo style cards comprises a grid of rows and columns defining a plurality of cells;   wherein each of the plurality of cells includes a Bible book name printed thereon;   a plurality of bingo style word chips including a book name and a letter printed thereon; and   a plurality of calling cards including said book name, a letter, and a scripture associated with said book name printed thereon, wherein at least two players each have at least one Bible bingo style card for playing said Bible bingo style game.   
     
     
         2 . The Bible bingo style kit of  claim 1 , wherein said book names are selected from the group consisting of the New Testament and the Old Testament. 
     
     
         3 . The Bible bingo style kit of  claim 1 , wherein said plurality of bingo style word chips include said book names selected from the group consisting of New Testament word chips and Old Testament word chips. 
     
     
         4 . The Bible bingo style kit of  claim 1  further comprising a plurality of bingo style chips for marking said plurality of cells. 
     
     
         5 . The Bible bingo style kit of  claim 4 , wherein said plurality of bingo style chips are transparent. 
     
     
         6 . The Bible bingo style kit of  claim 5 , wherein said grid of rows and columns include a volume selected from a group consisting of 5×5, 6×5, 4×4, 7×5 and 3×3. 
     
     
         7 . The Bible bingo style kit of  claim 1 , wherein each Bible bingo style card includes at least one free space cell counting towards completing a pattern of said plurality of cells with said bingo style chips. 
     
     
         8 . A Bible bingo style kit for playing a Bible bingo style game, the Bible bingo style kit comprising:
 a plurality of Bible bingo style cards, wherein each of the plurality of Bible bingo style cards comprises a grid of rows and columns defining a plurality of cells, and further wherein each of the plurality of cells includes a Bible book name printed thereon; and   a plurality of bingo style word chips having a book name and a letter printed thereon, wherein said plurality of bingo style word chips include said book names selected from the group consisting of New Testament word chips and Old Testament word chips, and further wherein at least two players each have at least one Bible bingo style card for playing said Bible bingo style game.   
     
     
         9 . The Bible bingo style kit of  claim 8  further comprising a plurality of calling cards including said book name, a letter, and a scripture associated with said book name printed thereon. 
     
     
         10 . The Bible bingo style kit of  claim 8  further comprising a plurality of bingo style chips for marking said plurality of cells. 
     
     
         11 . The Bible bingo style kit of  claim 10 , wherein said plurality of bingo style chips are transparent. 
     
     
         12 . The Bible bingo style kit of  claim 8 , wherein said grid of rows and columns include a volume selected from a group consisting of 5×5, 6×5, 4×4, 7×5 and 3×3. 
     
     
         13 . The Bible bingo style kit of  claim 8 , wherein each Bible bingo style card includes at least one free space cell counting towards completing a pattern of said plurality of cells with said bingo style chips. 
     
     
         14 . A method of playing a Bible bingo style game, the method comprising the steps of:
 providing a plurality of Bible bingo style cards, wherein each of said plurality of Bible bingo style cards comprises a grid of rows and columns defining a plurality of cells, and further wherein each of said plurality of cells includes a Bible book name printed thereon;   providing a plurality of bingo style word chips including a book name and a letter printed thereon, wherein said plurality of bingo style word chips include said book names selected from the group consisting of New Testament word chips and Old Testament word chips;   providing at least two players each with at least one Bible bingo style card for playing said Bible bingo style game;   selecting randomly said bingo style word chips one at a time;   calling out each said selected said bingo style word chip including said book name and said letter printed thereon; and   marking at least one of said plurality of cells of said Bible bingo style card corresponding to said called out said bingo style word chip.   
     
     
         15 . The method of  claim 14  further comprising a step of declaring a winner of said Bible bingo style game when a first player marks a plurality of said cells of said Bible bingo style card in a designated pattern. 
     
     
         16 . The method of  claim 15 , wherein said designated pattern is selected from a group consisting of a complete row, a complete column and a complete diagonal. 
     
     
         17 . The method of  claim 15  further comprising a step of providing a plurality of calling cards including said book name, a letter and a scripture associated with said book name printed thereon. 
     
     
         18 . The method of  claim 14  further comprising a step of selecting randomly said calling cards one at a time and intermittently with said bingo style word chips. 
     
     
         19 . The method of  claim 18  further comprising a step of calling out each said selected said calling card including said book name, said letter and said scripture printed thereon 
     
     
         20 . The method of  claim 16 , wherein said marking of said at least one of said plurality of cells includes placing a bingo style chip thereon.
