Abstract

Various aspects of the subject technology relate to transmitting driving data for a user to an insurance platform. A system may include one or more sensors configured to receive sensor data. Driving data for the user may be generated based on the sensor data and transmitted to an insurance platform for assessment of an insurance product.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A method comprising:
 receiving sensor data from a mobile device associated with a user;   determining, based on the sensor data, whether the user is in a driving state;   generating, when the user is in the driving state, driving data for the user; and   transmitting, via a network, the driving data for the user to an insurance platform for rate assessment by the insurance platform.
