Abstract

A mobile wireless communications device may communicate with a terminal including a first NFC device, the terminal being capable of receiving data from a provisioning server. The mobile wireless communications device may include a housing, a wireless transceiver carried by the housing, a second NFC device carried by the housing, a memory carried by the housing, a display carried by the housing, and a processor carried by the housing and coupled to the wireless transceiver, the second NFC device, the memory, and the display. The processor may be configured to implement a digital wallet including user cards, receive from the terminal, via the second NFC device, a blank user card including user data fields, and fill the user data fields of the blank user card to define a completed user card and send the completed user card to the provisioning server.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A method implemented in a mobile wireless communications device that includes a location determining device configured to determine a current location, a wireless transceiver, memory, and a display, the method comprising:
storing data representative of a digital wallet in the memory; receiving, using the wireless transceiver, data representative of at least one multi-mode user card comprising a trigger location embedded therein, the at least one multi-mode user card for storing in the memory in association with the digital wallet, the at least one multi-mode user card having first and second user interface modes, the multi-mode user card comprising a customer loyalty card, a coupon card, and an event ticket card; receiving data representative of the current location of the mobile wireless communications device from the location determining device; and in response to receiving the data, selectively changing the at least one multi-mode user card from the first user, interface mode to the second user interface mode based upon data representative of the current location being within a threshold distance of the trigger location embedded in the multi-mode user card, the second user interface mode presenting a mapping interface mode on the display relating to the first interface mode.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first user interface mode comprises a card display mode.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the threshold distance is speed based, wherein the threshold distance decreases when the speed increases, and the threshold distance increases when the speed decreases.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the trigger location comprises a plurality of trigger locations.

5 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising determining the current location using a global positioning system (GPS) receiver of the mobile wireless communications device.

6 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising determining the current location using a WLAN transceiver configured to communicate with the Internet.

7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first user interface mode comprises a survey interface mode or a purchase interface mode.

8 . A non-transitory computer readable medium storing code which, when executed by a processor of a mobile wireless communications device that includes a location determining device configured to determine a current location, a wireless transceiver, memory, and a display, causes the mobile wireless communications device to implement operations of:
storing data representative of a digital wallet in the memory; receiving, using the wireless transceiver, data representative of at least one multi-mode user card comprising a trigger location embedded therein, the at least one multi-mode user card for storing in the memory in association with the digital wallet, the at least one multi-mode user card having first and second user Interface modes, the multi-mode user card comprising a customer loyalty card, a coupon card, or an event ticket card; receiving data representative of the current location of the mobile wireless communications device from the location determining device; and in response to receiving the data, selectively changing the at least one multi-mode user card from the first user interface mode to the second user interface mode based upon the data representative of the current location being within a threshold distance of the trigger location embedded in the multi-mode user card, the second user interface mode presenting a mapping interface mode on a display of the mobile wireless communications device relating to the first interface mode.

9 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the first user interface mode comprises a card display mode.

10 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the threshold distance is speed based, wherein the threshold distance decreases when the speed increases, and the threshold distance increases when the speed decreases.

11 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the trigger, location comprises a plurality of trigger locations.

12 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the mobile wireless communications device, is further caused to determine the current location using a global positioning system (GPS) receiver.

13 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the mobile wireless communications device is further caused to determine the current location using a WLAN transceiver configured to communicate with the Internet.

14 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the first user interface mode comprises a survey interface mode or a purchase interface mode.
