Hair accessory for maintaining previously styled hair

Abstract

The present disclosure relates to hair accessories and more specifically to a hair accessory for maintaining previously styled hair. In accordance with aspects and embodiments, a hair accessory is provided having a stretchable loop and an arc affixed perpendicularly to the stretchable loop. A user can pull styled hair through the stretchable loop, wrap the styled hair concentrically around the arc, and secure the accessory in the hair such that the hair is up but is able to be returned to its previously styled state by removing the accessory.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A hair accessory comprising:
 a stretchable loop comprising a first fabric and an elastic material encased within the first fabric; and   an arc having a first end and a second end, wherein the first end of the arc and the second end of the arc are each affixed to the stretchable loop to allow a quantity of hair to be wrapped about the arc, wherein the arc comprises a second fabric and a core encased within the second fabric, the core comprising a foam material.   
     
     
         2 . The accessory of  claim 1 , comprising a first stitching between the stretchable loop and the arc so as to securely affix the first end of the arc to the stretchable loop. 
     
     
         3 . The accessory of  claim 2 , comprising a second stitching between the stretchable loop and the arc so as to securely affix the second end of the arc to the stretchable loop. 
     
     
         4 . The accessory of  claim 1 , wherein at least one of the first end or the second end is directly affixed to the stretchable loop. 
     
     
         5 . The accessory of  claim 1 , wherein the stretchable loop is configured to be formed into a figure eight. 
     
     
         6 . The accessory of  claim 1 , wherein the foam material is a circular foam. 
     
     
         7 . The accessory of  claim 1 , wherein the first fabric comprises silk, satin, or both. 
     
     
         8 . The accessory of  claim 1 , wherein the second fabric comprises silk, satin, or both. 
     
     
         9 . The accessory of  claim 1 , wherein the first fabric and the second fabric are the same fabric. 
     
     
         10 . The accessory of  claim 1 , wherein the first fabric and the second fabric are different fabrics. 
     
     
         11 . The accessory of  claim 1 , wherein the arc further comprises a wire. 
     
     
         12 . A hair accessory kit comprising:
 at least one hair accessory of  claim 1 ; and   instructions on how to use the at least one hair accessory.   
     
     
         13 . The hair accessory kit of  claim 12 , further comprising two hair accessories, a first hair accessory of the two hair accessories having an arc of a first size and a second hair accessory of the two hair accessories having an arc of a second size. 
     
     
         14 . The hair accessory kit of  claim 13 , wherein the first hair accessory is for use on hair of a first length and the second hair accessory is for use on hair of a second length. 
     
     
         15 . The hair accessory kit of  claim 13 , wherein the first hair accessory is for maintaining straight hair and the second hair accessory is for curling hair. 
     
     
         16 . The hair accessory kit of  claim 12 , further comprising at least one hair styling product.
