Job verification method and system based on code scanning
Abstract
A method and system for verifying job deliveries, the method comprising storing, by a server, at least one job item in a database of a server, receiving, by the server, delivery data associated with the job item, the delivery data received from a first client device and including a first location data from the first client device, generating, by the server, a token associated with the delivery data, transmitting, by the server, the token to the first client device, wherein the first client device generates a scanning code that represents the token, receiving, by the server, the token and a second location data from a second client device, the token decoded from the scanning code by the second client device. The method further comprising verifying, by the server, the delivery data based on a determination that the first location and the second location data are within a given distance from each other, and transmitting, by the server, the delivery data and a verification of the delivery data to the second client device.

18 . A method performed by at least one server for verifying completion of j ob delivery tasks, the method comprising:
receiving delivery task data from a client device, the delivery task data being generated by the client device based at least in part on:
scan data generated based at least in part on a scan of a scanning code associated with a delivery person or vehicle; and
location data corresponding to a location of the client device;
identifying, based at least in part on the delivery task data, a corresponding job item in a database of job items, the corresponding job item comprising a delivery task location for a task of the job item; verifying a completion of the task of the job item based at least in part on a comparison of the location data with the delivery task location of the job item; and transmitting an indication of the verification of the completion of the task to the client device.
19 . The method of claim 18 wherein the scanning code is generated based at least in part on the job item.
20 . The method of claim 19 wherein the scanning code is generated based at least in part on a token that corresponds to the job item, the token having been generated by the at least one server.
21 . The method of claim 18 wherein the scanning code comprises at least one of a bar code and a wireless data communication signal.
22 . The method of claim 18 wherein the delivery task data comprises one or more photographs associated with the completion of the task of the job item.
23 . The method of claim 18 wherein:
the job item comprises a start date and an end date; and
the method further comprises:
receiving a time of scan of the scanning code from the client device; and
verifying the completion of the task based at least in part on a comparison of the time of scan of the scanning code and the start and end dates of the job item.
24 . The method of claim 18 wherein:
the job item comprises an expected job open time and an expected job close time; and
the method further comprises verifying the completion of the task based at least in part on receiving the delivery task data from the client device at a time between the expected job open time and the expected job close time.
25 . The method of claim 18 , wherein:
the job item comprises a site open time and a site close time; the task comprises a pick-up or a drop-off; and the method further comprises verifying the completion of the task based at least in part on the delivery task data being received from the client device between the site open and site close times.
26 . A system comprising a database and a server, the server comprising at least one processing device and memory, the server being configured to:
receive delivery task data from a client device, the delivery task data being generated by the client device based at least in part on:
scan data generated based at least in part on a scan of a scanning code associated with a delivery person or vehicle; and
location data corresponding to a location of the client device;
identify, based at least in part on the delivery task data, a corresponding job item in a database of job items, the corresponding job item comprising a delivery task location for a task of the job item; verify a completion of the task of the job item based at least in part on a comparison of the location data with the delivery task location of the job item; and transmit an indication of the verification of the completion of the task to the client device.
27 . The system of claim 26 wherein the scanning code is generated based at least in part on the job item.
28 . The system of claim 27 wherein the scanning code is generated based at least in part on a token that corresponds to the job item, the token having been generated by the server.
29 . The system of claim 26 wherein the scanning code comprises at least one of a bar code and a wireless data communication signal.
30 . The system of claim 26 wherein:
the job item comprises a start date and an end date; and
the system is further configured to:
receive a time of scan of the scanning code from the client device; and
verify the completion of the task based at least in part on a comparison of the time of scan of the scanning code and the start and end dates of the job item.
31 . The system of claim 26 wherein:
the job item comprises an expected job open time and an expected job close time; and
the server is further configured to verify the completion of the task based at least in part on receiving the delivery task data from the client device at a time between the expected job open time and the expected job close time.
32 . The system of claim 26 wherein:
the job item comprises a site open time and a site close time;
the task comprises a pick-up or a drop-off; and
the server is further configured to verify the completion of the task based at least in part on the delivery task data being received from the client device between the site open and site close times.
33 . A non-transitory computer readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by at least one processing device, cause the at least one processing device to:
receive delivery task data from a client device, the delivery task data being generated by the client device based at least in part on:
scan data generated based at least in part on a scan of a scanning code associated with a delivery person or vehicle; and
location data corresponding to a location of the client device;
identify, based at least in part on the delivery task data, a corresponding job item in a database of job items, the corresponding job item comprising a delivery task location for a task of the job item; verify a completion of the task of the job item based at least in part on a comparison of the location data with the delivery task location of the job item; and transmit an indication of the verification of the completion of the task to the client device.
34 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 33 wherein the scanning code is generated based at least in part on the job item.
35 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 33 wherein:
the job item comprises a start date and an end date; and
the instructions, when executed by the at least one processing device, further cause the at least one processing device to:
receive a time of scan of the scanning code from the client device; and
verify the completion of the task based at least in part on a comparison of the time of scan of the scanning code and the start and end dates of the job item.
36 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 33 wherein:
the job item comprises an expected job open time and an expected job close time; and
the instructions, when executed by the at least one processing device, further cause the at least one processing device to verify the completion of the task based at least in part on receiving the delivery task data from the client device at a time between the expected job open time and the expected job close time.
37 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 33 wherein:
the job item comprises a site open time and a site close time;
the task comprises a pick-up or a drop-off; and
