Method of gaming, a gaming system and a game controller
Abstract
A gaming machine having a display to display symbols at a plurality of display positions and a plurality of prize identifiers. The gaming machine also includes a game controller to cause a display to display a plurality of symbols at the display positions and visually moves a number of a plurality of prize identifiers at a first speed. If a trigger condition occurs with the displayed symbols, the game controller selects a prize identifier of the prize identifiers to be upgraded while visually moving the selected prize identifier being upgraded at a second speed onto the display. The game controller completes the upgrading on the display while the selected prize identifier is being displayed.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A gaming device, comprising:
one or more display devices; a processor executing instructions of a memory, wherein execution of the instructions causes the processor to control the one or more display devices to: present a base game outcome for a play of a base game by a vertical spinning of base game reels, wherein the base game reels present symbols of the base game outcome at base game display positions; present a feature game outcome for a play of a feature game by a vertical spinning of feature game reels, wherein the feature game reels present symbols of the feature game outcome at feature game display positions; present, during the base game and the feature game, a horizontal spinning of a prize wheel, wherein the prize wheel comprises vertical segments that carrying prize identifiers; and present a feature game award based on prize identifiers for each vertical segment that aligns with a winning reel of the feature game reels after the prize wheel stops spinning.
2 . The gaming device of claim 1 , wherein executing the instructions causes the processor to control the one or more display devices to present each feature game reel and each vertical segment of the prize wheel with a same horizontal width.
3 . The gaming device of claim 1 , wherein executing the instructions causes the processor to control the one or more display devices to present each feature game reel with a first horizontal width that differs from a second horizontal width of each base game reel.
4 . The gaming device of claim 1 , wherein executing the instructions causes the processor to control the one or more display devices to present the feature game award based on prize identifies that align with feature game reels displaying a predetermined symbol.
5 . The gaming device of claim 1 , wherein executing the instructions causes the processor to control the one or more display devices to present the feature game outcome in response to a feature game trigger.
6 . The gaming device of claim 1 , wherein executing the instructions causes the processor to control the one or more display devices to present a replacement of the base game reels with the feature game reels in response to a feature game trigger.
7 . The gaming device of claim 1 , wherein executing the instructions causes the processor to control the one or more display devices to present a replacement of the base game reels with the feature game reels in response to a feature game trigger of the base game outcome.
8 . The gaming device of claim 1 , comprising:
a credit input device operable to receive a physical item representing a monetary value to establish a credit balance; and a payout mechanism to cause a payout associated with the credit balance.
9 . A method of a gaming device, the method comprising:
controlling one or more display devices of the gaming device to present a base game outcome for a play of a base game by a vertical spinning of base game reels, wherein the base game reels present symbols of the base game outcome; controlling the one or more display devices of the gaming device to present a feature game outcome for a play of a feature game by a vertical spinning of feature game reels, wherein the feature game reels present symbols of the feature game outcome; controlling the one or more display devices of the gaming device to present a prize wheel that spins during the base game and the feature game, wherein the prize wheel comprises vertical segments that carrying prize identifiers; controlling the one or more display devices of the gaming device to present a stopping of the prize wheel upon completion of the feature game; and controlling the one or more display devices of the gaming device to present a feature game award based on prize identifiers for each vertical segment that aligns with a feature game reel of the feature game reels presenting a predetermined symbol.
10 . The method of claim 9 , comprising controlling the one or more display devices to present the prize wheel as continuously spinning during and between the base game and feature game.
11 . The method of claim 9 , comprising the one or more display devices to present each feature game reel and each vertical segment of the prize wheel with a same horizontal width.
12 . The method of claim 9 , comprising controlling the one or more display devices to present each feature game reel with a first horizontal width that differs from a second horizontal width of each base game reel.
13 . The method of claim 9 , comprising controlling the one or more display devices to present the feature game outcome in response to a feature game trigger.
14 . The method of claim 9 , comprising controlling the one or more display devices to present a replacement of the base game reels with the feature game reels.
15 . The method of claim 9 , comprising controlling the one or more display devices to present a replacement of the base game reels with the feature game reels in response to a feature game trigger of the base game outcome.
16 . One or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media comprising instructions which, when executed, cause a gaming device to:
control one or more display devices to present a base game outcome for a play of a base game by a spinning of base game reels; control the one or more display devices to present a replacement of the base game reels with feature game reels in response to a feature game trigger; control the one or more display devices to present a feature game outcome for a play of a feature game by a spinning of the feature game reels; control the one or more display devices to present a spinning of a prize wheel, wherein the prize wheel comprises segments that carrying prize identifiers; and control the one or more display devices to present a feature game award based on prize identifiers for each vertical segment of the prize wheel that aligns with a feature game reel of the feature game reels that presents a predetermined symbol.
17 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media of claim 16 , wherein the instructions, when executed, cause the gaming device to control the one or more display devices to present the prize wheel as continuously spinning during and between the base game and feature game.
18 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media of claim 16 , wherein the instructions, when executed, cause the gaming device to control the one or more display to present each feature game reel and each vertical segment of the prize wheel with a same horizontal width.
19 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media of claim 18 , wherein the instructions, when executed, cause the gaming device to control the one or more display devices to present each feature game reel with a first horizontal width that differs from a second horizontal width of each base game reel.
20 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media of claim 16 , wherein the instructions, when executed, cause the gaming device to control the one or more display to present the replacement of the base game reels in response to determining that the base game outcome comprises the feature game trigger.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
