Abstract

A receptacle for dispensing cosmetic product includes a base adapted to receive a cup containing the product, a cover which can be rotated between a position in which the receptacle is closed and a position in which the receptacle is open, connected to the base by a first pivot connection and an intermediate platform for holding the cup in position, connected to the base by a second pivot connection. The receptacle includes a system for positioning the cup in order to limit any relative movement of the cup with respect to the base, this system including an inclined bearing surface of the platform bearing against an upper rim of the cup.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
Having thus described the invention of the present application in detail and by reference to embodiments thereof, it will be apparent that modifications and variations are possible without departing from the scope of the invention defined in the appended claims as follows:

1 . A receptacle for dispensing cosmetic product comprising:
a base adapted to receive a cup containing the product; a cover which can be rotated between a position in which the receptacle is closed and a position in which the receptacle is open, connected to the base by a first pivot connection, an intermediate platform for holding the cup in position, located between the base and the cover and being rotatable between a closed position adapted to clamp the cup and an open position allowing the cup to be removed, this platform being connected to the base by a second pivot connection, and a system for positioning the cup in order to limit any relative movement of the cup with respect to the base, this positioning system comprising an inclined bearing surface of the platform adapted to bear against an upper rim of the cup.

2 . The receptacle according to claim 1 , wherein said positioning system cooperates with a hanging system provided between the platform and the base.

3 . The receptacle according to claim 1 , wherein said positioning system comprises a plurality of pins protruding from a bottom of the base and adapted to support the cup, the pins being rigid.

4 . The receptacle according to claim 1 , wherein said inclined bearing surface flares radially outwards.

5 . The receptacle according to claim 1 , wherein said inclined bearing surface has clamping lugs projecting towards the base and adapted to bear against the upper rim of the cup.

6 . The receptacle according to claim 2 , wherein said hanging system consists of a snap-fit cooperation between flexible legs provided on the platform and windows provided on the base.

7 . The receptacle according to claim 6 , wherein the base has an inner skirt dimensioned to surround and laterally contain the cup, said inner skirt having a plurality of windows into which the flexible legs provided for this purpose are inserted on the platform.

8 . The receptacle according to claim 7 , wherein each leg has an inclined wall in sliding contact with a slice of the window after snap-fitting, allowing to maintain a clearance in the closure of the platform according to the clamping of the cup.

9 . The receptacle according to claim 1 , further comprising a hook-type closure system between the cover and the base.

10 . The receptacle according to claim 1 , further comprising, at the rear part, means for wedging the platform in the closed position.

11 . The receptacle according to claim 10 , wherein said means for wedging the platform in the closed position consist of a hollow fitted in the rear part of the base and in which is housed, in the closed position of the platform, a wedging protrusion projecting from the platform, the hollow and the wedging protrusion having corresponding shapes.

12 . The receptacle according claim 11 , wherein the first and second pivot connections are without metal stud and are located at the rear part of the receptacle.

13 . The receptacle according to claim 1 , wherein all the pieces making up the receptacle are made of the same plastic material.

14 . The receptacle according to claim 13 , wherein the plastic used is PET.

         15 . An assembly comprising:
a receptacle for dispensing a cosmetic product and comprising a base adapted to receive a cup containing the product, a cover which can be rotated between a position in which the receptacle is closed and a position in which the receptacle is open, connected to the base by a first pivot connection, an intermediate platform for holding the cup in position, located between the base and the cover and being rotatable between a closed position adapted to clamp the cup and an open position allowing the cup to be removed, this platform being connected to the base by a second pivot connection, and a system for positioning the cup in order to limit any relative movement of the cup with respect to the base, this positioning system comprising an inclined bearing surface of the platform adapted to bear against an upper rim of the cup, and a cup containing the product and housed in the base of the receptacle, the inclined bearing surface of the platform bearing against the upper rim of the cup.
