Abstract
A delivery system used for vascular implant delivery is described. In some embodiments, the delivery system includes a user-gripped handle used to aid in retracting and advancing an implant. In some embodiments, the delivery system includes a telescoping pusher system to aid in retracting and advancing an implant.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . An implant delivery device, comprising:
a housing including an aperture; a delivery device extending through the housing; a pusher extending through the delivery device; and a sliding element movably connected to the housing, wherein the sliding element is connected to the delivery device through the aperture; and, wherein moving the sliding element in a proximal direction retracts the delivery device and exposes the pusher.
2 . The implant delivery device of claim 1 , wherein the aperture is comprised of a slot.
3 . The implant delivery device of claim 2 , wherein the slot extends along at least half of a length of the housing.
4 . The implant delivery device of claim 1 , wherein the delivery device is comprised of a catheter.
5 . The implant delivery device of claim 1 , further comprising an engagement member through which the delivery device passes.
6 . The implant delivery device of claim 5 , wherein the sliding element is attached to the engagement member.
7 . The implant delivery device of claim 5 , wherein the engagement member is comprised of a distal element and a proximal element.
8 . The implant delivery device of claim 7 , wherein the proximal element is screwed on to the distal element.
9 . The implant delivery device of claim 5 , wherein the engagement member is comprised of a clamping device.
10 . The implant delivery device of claim 1 , wherein the housing is comprised of an upper housing member and a lower housing member that engage each other to form a longitudinal cavity.
11 . The implant delivery device of claim 1 , wherein the pusher comprises a proximal hub, the proximal hub being adjustable between a first locked configuration and a second unlocked configuration.
12 . An implant delivery device, comprising:
a housing including an aperture; a pusher extending through housing; and a sliding element movably connected to the housing, wherein the sliding element is connected to the pusher through the aperture; and, wherein moving the sliding element in a distal direction propels the pusher forward out of the housing.
13 . The implant delivery device of claim 12 , further comprising an engagement member through which the pusher passes.
14 . The implant delivery device of claim 13 , wherein the engagement member is comprised of a clamping device.
15 . The implant delivery device of claim 12 , wherein the aperture is positioned on an upper end of the housing.
16 . The implant delivery device of claim 12 , wherein the aperture is comprised of an elongated slot.
17 . The implant delivery device of claim 16 , wherein the elongated slot extends along at least half of a length of the housing.
18 . The implant delivery device of claim 12 , wherein the pusher comprises a proximal hub, the proximal hub being adjustable between a first locked configuration and a second unlocked configuration.
19 . The implant delivery device of claim 12 , wherein the housing is comprised of an upper housing member and a lower housing member that engage each other to form a longitudinal cavity.
20 . An implant delivery device, comprising:
a housing including an aperture; a delivery means for delivering an implant extending through the housing; a pusher means for pushing the implant extending through the delivery means; and a sliding means for exposing the pusher means movably connected to the housing, wherein the sliding means is connected to the delivery means through the aperture; and, wherein moving the sliding means in a proximal direction retracts the delivery means and exposes the pusher means.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
