Abstract

A first device can send a first message comprising a device identifier. A second device can receive the first message. The second device can send the device identifier and first metadata to a server, wherein the first metadata is associated with the second device. The server can receive the device identifier and the first metadata. The server can further send the device identifier and first metadata to a third device.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A method comprising:
 sending, by a first device, a first message, wherein the first message comprises a device identifier;   receiving, by a second device, the first message;   sending, by the second device to a server, the device identifier and first metadata, wherein the first metadata is associated with the second device;   receiving, by the server, the device identifier and the first metadata; and   sending, by the server to a third device, the device identifier and the first metadata.   
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 sending, by the first device, a second message, wherein the second message comprises the device identifier;   receiving, by a fourth device, the second message;   sending, by the fourth device to the server, the device identifier and second metadata, wherein the second metadata is associated with the fourth device;   receiving, by the server, the device identifier and the second metadata; and   sending, by the server to the third device, the device identifier and the second metadata.   
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 2 , wherein the second device and the fourth device are independent devices. 
     
     
         4 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 sending, by the first device, a second message, wherein the second message comprises the device identifier;   receiving, by a fourth device, the second message;   sending, by the fourth device to the server, a request for metadata associated with the device identifier; and   receiving, by the fourth device from the server, metadata associated with the device identifier.   
     
     
         5 . The method of  claim 1 ,
 wherein said sending, by the second device to the server, the device identifier and the first metadata comprises sending, by the second device to the server, a second message, wherein the second message comprises the device identifier and the first metadata; and   wherein said sending, by the server to the third device, the device identifier and the first metadata comprises sending, by the server, a third message, wherein the third message comprises the device identifier and the first metadata.   
     
     
         6 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 receiving, by the third device, the device identifier and the first metadata; and   in response to receiving the device identifier and the first metadata, displaying the first metadata.   
     
     
         7 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising receiving, by the server, a request for metadata associated with the first device, wherein said sending, by the server to the third device, the device identifier and the first metadata is in response the request for metadata associated with the first device. 
     
     
         8 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the first device comprises a base station, the second device comprises a mobile device, and the third device comprises a computing system. 
     
     
         9 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the server comprises at least one of a physical server or a virtual server. 
     
     
         10 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the first metadata comprises a location associated with the second device. 
     
     
         11 . A method comprising:
 sending, by a first computing system, an indication that a first mobile device is within a particular distance of a source device, wherein the indication that the first mobile device is within the particular distance of the source device comprises a first identifier and first metadata, wherein the first identifier is associated with the source device and wherein the first metadata is associated with the first mobile device; and   sending, by the first computing system, an indication that a second mobile device is within the particular distance of the source device, wherein the indication that the second mobile device is within the particular distance of the source device comprises the first identifier and second metadata, wherein the second metadata is associated with the second mobile device.   
     
     
         12 . The method of  claim 11 , further comprising:
 sending, by the source device, a first message, wherein the first message comprises the first identifier;   receiving, by the first mobile device, the first message;   in response to receiving the first message, sending, by the first mobile device, a second message, wherein the second message comprises the first identifier;   sending, by the source device, a third message, wherein the third message comprises the first identifier;   receiving, by the second mobile device, the third message; and   in response to receiving the third message, sending, by the second mobile device, a fourth message, wherein the fourth message comprises the first identifier;   wherein sending, by the first computing system, the indication that the first mobile device is within the particular distance of the source device is in response to receiving the second message;   wherein sending, by the first computing system, the indication that the second mobile device is within the particular distance of the source device is in response to receiving the fourth message.   
     
     
         13 . The method of  claim 12 , further comprising:
 receiving, by a second computing system, the indication that the first mobile device is within the particular distance of the source device;   in response to receiving the indication that the first mobile device is within the particular distance of the source device, displaying the first metadata;   receiving, by the second computing system, the indication that the second mobile device is within the particular distance of the source device; and   in response to receiving the indication that the second mobile device is within the particular distance of the source device, displaying the second metadata.   
     
     
         14 . The method of  claim 13 , wherein the first metadata comprises a location associated with the first mobile device and wherein the second metadata comprises a location associated with the second mobile device. 
     
     
         15 . The method of  claim 14 , wherein the first mobile device and the second mobile device are separate devices. 
     
     
         16 . The method of  claim 11 , further comprising:
 receiving, by a second computing system, the indication that the first mobile device is within the particular distance of the source device;   in response to receiving the indication that the first mobile device is within the particular distance of the source device, displaying the first metadata;   receiving, by the second computing system, the indication that the second mobile device is within the particular distance of the source device; and   in response to receiving the indication that the second mobile device is within the particular distance of the source device, displaying the second metadata.   
     
     
         17 . The method of  claim 16 , wherein the first metadata comprises a location associated with the first mobile device and wherein the second metadata comprises a location associated with the second mobile device. 
     
     
         18 . The method of  claim 11 , wherein the first metadata comprises a location associated with the first mobile device and wherein the second metadata comprises a location associated with the second mobile device. 
     
     
         19 . The method of  claim 11 , wherein the first computing system is at least one of a physical server or a virtual server. 
     
     
         20 . The method of  claim 11 , wherein the first mobile device and the second mobile device are independent mobile devices. 
     
     
         21 . A system comprising:
 a first device;   a second device;   a third device; and   a server;   wherein the first device comprises a first processor and a first machine-readable storage medium having first instructions stored therein which, when executed by the first processor, cause the first device to send a first message, wherein the first message comprises a device identifier associated with the first device;   wherein the second device comprises a second processor and a second machine-readable storage medium having second instructions stored therein which, when executed by the second processor, cause the second device to, receive the first message; and
 send, to the server, a second message, wherein the second message comprises the device identifier and first metadata, wherein the first metadata is associated with the second device; 
   wherein the server comprises a third processor and a third machine-readable storage medium having third instructions stored therein which, when executed by the third processor, cause the server to,
 receive, from the second device, the second message; and 
 send, to the third device, a third message, the third message comprising the device identifier and the first metadata; and 
   wherein the third device comprises a fourth processor and a fourth machine-readable storage medium having fourth instructions stored therein which, when executed by the fourth processor, cause the third device to,
 receive, from the server, the third message; and 
 display the first metadata. 
   
     
     
         22 . The system of  claim 21 , further comprising:
 a fourth device;   wherein the fourth device comprises a fifth processor and a fifth machine-readable storage medium having fifth instructions stored therein which, when executed by the fifth processor, cause the fourth device to:
 receive, from the first device, a fourth message, wherein the fourth message comprises the device identifier; and 
 send, to the server, a fifth message, wherein the fifth message comprises the device identifier and second metadata, wherein the second metadata is associated with the fourth device. 
   
     
     
         23 . The system of  claim 22 ,
 wherein the third instructions further include instructions which, when executed by the third processor, cause the server to,
 receive, from the fourth device, the fifth message; and 
 send, to the third device, a sixth message, wherein the sixth message comprises the device identifier and the second metadata; and 
   wherein the fourth instructions further include instructions which, when executed by the fourth processor, cause the third device to,
 receive, from the server, the sixth message; and 
 display the second metadata. 
   
     
     
         24 . The system of  claim 23 , wherein the first metadata comprises a location associated with the second device and the second metadata comprises a location associated with the fourth device. 
     
     
         25 . The system of  claim 21 , wherein the first device comprises a base station, the second device comprises a mobile device, and the third device comprises a computing system. 
     
     
         26 . The system of  claim 21 , wherein the server comprises at least one of a physical server or a virtual server. 
     
     
         27 . The system of  claim 21 , wherein the first metadata comprises a location associated with the second device.
