Golf Club Head Covers with Repositionable Closures and Related Methods

Abstract

Implementations of golf club head covers may include a body portion defining an internal cavity for receiving a golf club head, the internal cavity exposed at an opening in the body portion, a flap coupled to the body portion and configured to cover the opening of the body portion, a guide strip coupled to the flap, a strap holder configured to move along the guide strip slidably coupled to the guide strip, and a strap coupled at an end of the strap holder, wherein the strap is configured to secure the flap over the opening through coupling to a front face of the body portion.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A golf club head cover comprising:
 a body portion defining an internal cavity for receiving a golf club head, the internal cavity exposed at an opening in the body portion;   a first flap coupled to the body portion and configured to cover the opening of the body portion; and   a second flap coupled to the body portion and configured to couple to the first flap through a coupling mechanism;   wherein the coupling mechanism is configured to close the first flap and the second flap directly over a shaft coupled with the golf club head when the golf club head is inserted into the internal cavity.   
     
     
         2 . The cover of  claim 1 , wherein the coupling mechanism is hook fastener. 
     
     
         3 . The cover of  claim 1 , wherein the coupling mechanism is hook and loop fastener. 
     
     
         4 . The cover of  claim 1 , wherein a material of the second flap is configured to couple to hook fastener of the coupling mechanism. 
     
     
         5 . The cover of  claim 1 , wherein the first flap and the second flap are configured to close directly over the shaft at any position where the shaft crosses the first flap and the second flap. 
     
     
         6 . The cover of  claim 1 , wherein the first flap is a separate piece of material from the body portion. 
     
     
         7 . The cover of  claim 1 , wherein the second flap is formed of a continuation of a material of the body portion. 
     
     
         8 . A golf club head cover comprising:
 a body portion comprising an internal cavity and an opening in the body portion;   a first flap coupled to the body portion and configured to cover the opening of the body portion; and   a second flap coupled to the body portion and configured to couple to the first flap through a coupling mechanism;   wherein the coupling mechanism is configured to close the first flap and the second flap directly over a shaft coupled with a golf club head when the golf club head is inserted into the internal cavity.   
     
     
         9 . The cover of  claim 8 , wherein the coupling mechanism is hook fastener. 
     
     
         10 . The cover of  claim 8 , wherein the coupling mechanism is hook and loop fastener. 
     
     
         11 . The cover of  claim 8 , wherein a material of the second flap is configured to couple to hook fastener of the coupling mechanism. 
     
     
         12 . The cover of  claim 8 , wherein the first flap and the second flap are configured to close directly over the shaft at any position where the shaft crosses the first flap and the second flap. 
     
     
         13 . The cover of  claim 8 , wherein the first flap is a separate piece of material from the body portion. 
     
     
         14 . The cover of  claim 8 , wherein the second flap is formed of a continuation of a material of the body portion. 
     
     
         15 . A golf club head cover comprising:
 a body portion comprising an internal cavity and an opening in the body portion;   a first flap of the body portion configured to cover the opening of the body portion; and   a second flap of the body portion configured to couple to the first flap through a coupling mechanism;   wherein the coupling mechanism is configured to close the first flap and the second flap directly over a shaft coupled with a golf club head when the golf club head is inserted into the internal cavity.   
     
     
         16 . The cover of  claim 15 , wherein the coupling mechanism is hook fastener. 
     
     
         17 . The cover of  claim 15 , wherein a material of the second flap is configured to couple to hook fastener of the coupling mechanism. 
     
     
         18 . The cover of  claim 15 , wherein the first flap and the second flap are configured to close directly over the shaft at any position where the shaft crosses the first flap and the second flap. 
     
     
         19 . The cover of  claim 15 , wherein the first flap is a separate piece of material from the body portion. 
     
     
         20 . The cover of  claim 15 , wherein the second flap is formed of a continuation of a material of the body portion.
