Hockey stick

Abstract

A hockey stick is provided. The hockey stick includes a shaft having a first distal end and a second distal end, a first blade coupled to the first distal end, and a second blade coupled to the second distal end, wherein the first blade and the second blade are curved in the same direction.

1 . A hockey stick comprising:
 a shaft having a first distal end and a second distal end;   a first blade coupled to the first distal end; and   a second blade coupled to the second distal end,   wherein the first blade and the second blade curve in a common direction.   
     
     
         2 . The hockey stick of  claim 1 , wherein the shaft is a linear shaft that extends in a first direction from the first distal end to the second distal end. 
     
     
         3 . The hockey stick of  claim 2 , wherein, as projected onto a first plane passing through a central axis of the shaft, the first blade extends from the shaft in a second direction that is at a first angle relative to the first direction and the second blade extends a from the shaft in a third direction that is at a second angle relative to the first direction. 
     
     
         4 . The hockey stick of  claim 3 , wherein the first angle is the same as the second angle. 
     
     
         5 . The hockey stick of  claim 3 , wherein first blade and the second blade are curved to extend out of the first plane. 
     
     
         6 . The hockey stick of  claim 3 , wherein, as projected onto the first plane the shaft, the first blade, and the second blade collectively form a U-like shape. 
     
     
         7 . The hockey stick of  claim 4 , wherein the first blade and the second blade extend in a common direction away from a second plane that passes through the central axis and is perpendicular to the first plane. 
     
     
         8 . The hockey stick of  claim 1 , wherein the first blade extends away from the second distal end and the second blade extends away from the first distal end. 
     
     
         9 . A hockey stick comprising:
 a shaft having a first distal end and a second distal end;   a first blade coupled to the first distal end, the first blade extending from the shaft in a first direction and having a first curvature; and   a second blade coupled to the second distal end, the second blade extending from the shaft in a second direction and having a second curvature.   
     
     
         10 . The hockey stick of  claim 9 , wherein the first curvature is configured right-handed play and the second curvature is configured for left-handed play. 
     
     
         11 . The hockey stick of  claim 9 , wherein the first curvature is the same as the second curvature. 
     
     
         12 . The hockey stick of  claim 9 , wherein the shaft is a linear shaft defining a central axis that extends from the first distal end to the second distal end. 
     
     
         13 . The hockey stick of  claim 12 , wherein, as projected onto a first plane passing through the central axis, the first direction is at a first angle relative to the central axis and the second direction is at a second angle relative to the central axis. 
     
     
         14 . The hockey stick of  claim 13 , wherein, as projected onto the first plane, the shaft, the first blade, and the second blade collectively form a U-like shape. 
     
     
         15 . The hockey stick of  claim 14 , wherein first blade and the second blade are curved to extend out of the first plane in a common direction. 
     
     
         16 . A hockey stick comprising:
 a linear shaft extending in a first direction from a first distal end to a second distal end;   a first blade coupled to the first distal end, the first blade being curved in a forehand-facing direction for right-handed play; and   a second blade coupled to the second distal end, the second blade being curved in a forehand-facing direction for left-handed play.   
     
     
         17 . The hockey stick of  claim 16 , wherein, as projected onto a first plane passing through a central axis of the shaft, the first blade extends from the shaft in a second direction that is at a first angle relative to the first direction and the second blade extends a from the shaft in a third direction that is at a second angle relative to the first direction. 
     
     
         18 . The hockey stick of  claim 17 , wherein the first angle is the same as the second angle. 
     
     
         19 . The hockey stick of  claim 18 , wherein, as projected onto the first plane, the shaft, the first blade, and the second blade collectively form a U-like shape. 
     
     
         20 . The hockey stick of  claim 16 , wherein the first blade has a first curvature and the second blade has a second curvature that is the same as the first curvature.
