Abstract

A method for synchronization in a wireless system. In the method, a physical broadcast channel (PBCH) includes one or more bits, wherein the one or more bits indicate additional system information when a frequency of the wireless system is within a frequency range up to a predefined frequency and indicate a location of a slot group in a synchronization signal burst set when the frequency of the wireless system is above the predefined frequency, and wherein the slot group comprises at least one synchronization signal block and the synchronization signal burst set includes the slot group.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A method in a network device for synchronization in a wireless system comprising:
 transmitting a synchronization signal block (SSB) that includes a physical broadcast channel (PBCH) and a demodulation reference signal (DMRS), in which the PBCH includes at least one explicit bit and the DMRS includes at least one implicit bit, wherein:
 when frequency of transmission is above a predefined frequency, the at least one explicit bit of the PBCH and the at least one implicit bit of the DMRS are used to indicate a location of a slot group in a synchronization signal burst set; and 
 when the frequency of transmission is below the predefined frequency, the at least one implicit bit of the DMRS is used to indicate the location of the slot group in the synchronization signal burst set and the at least one explicit bit of the PBCH is used to indicate additional system information. 
   
     
     
         2 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein a total combined number of the at least one explicit bit and the at least one implicit bit equals six. 
     
     
         3 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein the at least one explicit bit comprises three bits and the at least one implicit bit comprises three bits. 
     
     
         4 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein the predefined frequency is 6 GHz. 
     
     
         5 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein the additional system information comprises:
 a frame number offset of a coexisting system relative to the wireless system;   system information of a neighbor cell in a coexisting system; or   configuration information of a synchronization signal burst set of a neighbor cell in the wireless system, and an indication related to synchronization information in the wireless system.   
     
     
         6 . A network device in a wireless system comprising:
 a processor; and   a memory containing instructions which, when executed by the processor, cause the network device to:
 transmit a synchronization signal block (SSB) that includes a physical broadcast channel (PBCH) and a demodulation reference signal (DMRS), in which the PBCH includes at least one explicit bit and the DMRS includes at least one implicit bit, wherein:
 when frequency of transmission is above a predefined frequency, the at least one explicit bit of the PBCH and the at least one implicit bit of the DMRS are used to indicate a location of a slot group in a synchronization signal burst set; and 
 when the frequency of transmission is below the predefined frequency, the at least one implicit bit of the DMRS is used to indicate the location of the slot group in the synchronization signal burst set and the at least one explicit bit of the PBCH is used to indicate additional system information. 
 
   
     
     
         7 . The network device according to  claim 6 , wherein a total combined number of the at least one explicit bit and the at least one implicit bit equals six. 
     
     
         8 . The network device according to  claim 6 , wherein the at least one explicit bit comprises three bits and the at least one implicit bit comprises three bits. 
     
     
         9 . The network device according to  claim 6 , wherein the predefined frequency is 6 GHz. 
     
     
         10 . The network device according to  claim 6 , wherein the additional system information comprises:
 a frame number offset of a coexisting system relative to the wireless system;   system information of a neighbor cell in a coexisting system; or   configuration information of a synchronization signal burst set of a neighbor cell in the wireless system, and an indication related to synchronization information in the wireless system.   
     
     
         11 . A method in a terminal device for synchronization in a wireless system comprising:
 receiving a synchronization signal block (SSB) that includes a physical broadcast channel (PBCH) and a demodulation reference signal (DMRS), in which the PBCH includes at least one explicit bit and the DMRS includes at least one implicit bit, wherein:
 when frequency of transmission of the wireless system is above a predefined frequency, the at least one explicit bit of the PBCH and the at least one implicit bit of the DMRS are used to indicate a location of a slot group in a synchronization signal burst set; and 
 when the frequency of transmission of the wireless system is below the predefined frequency, the at least one implicit bit of the DMRS is used to indicate the location of the slot group in the synchronization signal burst set and the at least one explicit bit of the PBCH is used to indicate additional system information. 
   
     
     
         12 . The method according to  claim 11 , wherein a total combined number of the at least one explicit bit and the at least one implicit bit equals six. 
     
     
         13 . The method according to  claim 11 , wherein the at least one explicit bit comprises three bits and the at least one implicit bit comprises three bits. 
     
     
         14 . The method according to  claim 11 , wherein the predefined frequency is 6 GHz. 
     
     
         15 . The method according to  claim 11 , wherein the additional system information comprises:
 a frame number offset of a coexisting system relative to the wireless system;   system information of a neighbor cell in a coexisting system; or   configuration information of a synchronization signal burst set of a neighbor cell in the wireless system, and an indication related to synchronization information in the wireless system.   
     
     
         16 . A terminal device in a wireless system comprising:
 a processor; and   a memory containing instructions which, when executed by the processor, cause the terminal device to:
 receive a synchronization signal block (SSB) that includes a physical broadcast channel (PBCH) and a demodulation reference signal (DMRS), in which the PBCH includes at least one explicit bit and the DMRS includes at least one implicit bit, wherein:
 when frequency of transmission of the wireless system is above a predefined frequency, the at least one explicit bit of the PBCH and the at least one implicit bit of the DMRS are used to indicate a location of a slot group in a synchronization signal burst set; and 
 when the frequency of transmission of the wireless system is below the predefined frequency, the at least one implicit bit of the DMRS is used to indicate the location of the slot group in the synchronization signal burst set and the at least one explicit bit of the PBCH is used to indicate additional system information. 
 
   
     
     
         17 . The terminal device according to  claim 16 , wherein a total combined number of the at least one explicit bit and the at least one implicit bit equals six. 
     
     
         18 . The terminal device according to  claim 16 , wherein the at least one explicit bit comprises three bits and the at least one implicit bit comprises three bits. 
     
     
         19 . The terminal device according to  claim 16 , wherein the predefined frequency is 6 GHz. 
     
     
         20 . The terminal device according to  claim 16 , wherein the additional system information comprises:
 a frame number offset of a coexisting system relative to the wireless system;   system information of a neighbor cell in a coexisting system; or   configuration information of a synchronization signal burst set of a neighbor cell in the wireless system, and an indication related to synchronization information in the wireless system.
