Claims

Abstract

A porous dissolvable solid can include an isethionate surfactant; an non-sulfate anionic surfactant; and an amphoteric surfactant, a zwitterionic surfactant, or a combination thereof.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A porous dissolvable solid structure, comprising:
 a. from about 20% to about 50%, by weight of the porous dissolvable solid, of an isethionate surfactant;   b. from about 4% to about 25%, by weight of the porous dissolvable solid, of one or more non-sulfate anionic surfactant;   c. from about 5% to about 28, by weight of the solid structure, of an amphoteric surfactant and/or a zwitterionic surfactant;   d. polyvinyl alcohol;   e. glycerin; 
 wherein said porous dissolvable solid structure has a density of from about 0.05 g/cm 3  to about 0.20 g/cm 3 ; 
 wherein the strain at break is 20 mm or more. 
   
     
     
         2 . The porous dissolvable solid structure of  claim 1 , wherein the isethionate surfactant is selected from the group consisting of sodium cocoyl isethionate, sodium lauroyl methyl isethionate, or a combination thereof. 
     
     
         3 . The porous dissolvable solid structure according to  claim 1 , wherein the one or more non-sulfate anionic surfactants comprise sodium lauroyl sarcosinate, lauryl sarcosine, cocoyl sarcosine, sodium lauroyl glutamate, disodium laureth sulfosuccinate, sodium cocoyl taurate, sodium lauroyl taurate, sodium lauroyl lactylate, sodium cocoyl lactylate, sodium lauroyl glycinate, sodium cocoyl glycinate, sodium cocoyl glutamate, disodium lauryl sulfosuccinate, or a combination thereof. 
     
     
         4 . The porous dissolvable solid structure of  claim 3 , wherein the non-sulfate anionic surfactant comprises sodium cocoyl glutamate, disodium lauryl sulfosuccinate, or a combination thereof. 
     
     
         5 . The porous dissolvable solid structure according to  claim 1 , further comprising one or more zwitterionic surfactants comprising lauramidopropyl betaine, cocamidoethyl betaine, cocamidopropylamine oxide, cocamidopropyl betaine, cocamidopropyl dimethylaminohydroxypropyl hydrolyzed collagen, cocamidopropyldimonium hydroxypropyl hydrolyzed collagen, cocamidopropyl hydroxysultaine, cocobetaineamido amphopropionate, coco-betaine, coco-hydroxysultaine, coco/oleamidopropyl betaine, coco-sultaine, lauryl betaine, lauryl hydroxysultaine, lauryl sultaine, or a combination thereof. 
     
     
         6 . The porous dissolvable solid structure of  claim 5 , wherein the amphoteric surfactant and/or the zwitterionic surfactant comprises lauramidopropyl betaine and/or cocamidopropyl betaine. 
     
     
         7 . The porous dissolvable solid structure of  claim 6 , wherein the betaine is lauramidopropyl betaine. 
     
     
         8 . The porous dissolvable solid structure according to  claim 1 , wherein the level of isethionate surfactant is about 22% to about 41%, by weight of the porous dissolvable solid; and the level of non-sulfate anionic surfactant is from about 7% to about 25%, by weight of the porous dissolvable solid. 
     
     
         9 . The porous dissolvable solid structure according to  claim 8 , wherein the isethionate comprises sodium lauroyl methyl isethionate; the non-sulfate anionic surfactant comprises sodium cocoyl isethionate; and the non-sulfate anionic surfactant comprises sodium cocoyl glutamate. 
     
     
         10 . The porous dissolvable solid structure according to  claim 1 , wherein the level of isethionate is about 38% to about 41%, by weight of the porous dissolvable solid; the level of non-sulfate anionic surfactant is from about 7% to about 17%, by weight of the porous dissolvable solid; and the level of amphoteric surfactant and/or zwitterionic surfactant is from about 7% to about 17%, by weight of the porous dissolvable solid. 
     
     
         11 . The porous dissolvable solid structure according to  claim 1 , wherein the level of isethionate is about 21% to about 25%, by weight of the porous dissolvable solid; the level of non-sulfate anionic surfactant is from about 22% to about 25%, by weight of the porous dissolvable solid; and the level of amphoteric and/or zwitterionic surfactant is from about 14% to about 17%, by weight of the porous dissolvable solid. 
     
     
         12 . The porous dissolvable solid structure according to  claim 11 , wherein the isethionate comprises sodium cocoyl isethionate; and the non-sulfate anionic surfactant comprises sodium cocoyl glutamate and disodium laureth sulfosuccinate. 
     
     
         13 . The porous dissolvable solid structure according to  claim 11 , wherein the isethionate comprises sodium cocoyl isethionate; the non-sulfate anionic surfactant comprises sodium cocoyl glutamate; and the zwitterionic surfactant comprises lauramidopropyl betaine. 
     
     
         14 . The porous dissolvable solid structure according to  claim 1 , wherein the porous dissolvable solid structure comprises multiple layers. 
     
     
         15 . The porous dissolvable solid of structure according to  claim 1 , wherein the total surfactant amount is from about 40% to about 70%, by weight of the porous dissolvable structure. 
     
     
         16 . The porous dissolvable solid structure according to  claim 1 , wherein the porous dissolvable solid structure is an open celled foam.
