Three-piece bowl for a water pipe

Abstract

A three-piece bowl assembly is disclosed, including a base to fittingly engage with a water pipe and an adapter fittingly engaged to the base and a reservoir. The reservoir receives a smokable material therein. A plurality of apertures are positioned on the reservoir and the adapter. The apertures directs the flow of smoke into the water pipe and to filter particulates.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A three-piece bowl assembly, comprising:
 a base to fittingly engage with a water pipe;   an adapter fittingly engaged to the base and a reservoir, the reservoir to receive a smokable material therein;   a plurality of apertures positioned on the reservoir and the adapter, the plurality of apertures to direct the flow of smoke into the water pipe and to filter particulates.   
     
     
         2 . The three-piece bowl assembly of  claim 1 , wherein the reservoir includes a flange to form an upper edge. 
     
     
         3 . The three-piece bowl assembly of  claim 1 , further comprising an annular ring to provide an insulative layer. 
     
     
         4 . The three-piece bowl assembly of  claim 3 , wherein the annular ring is positioned on the reservoir. 
     
     
         5 . The three-piece bowl assembly of  claim 1 , wherein the base includes a top portion and a bottom portion separated by a conical central portion. 
     
     
         6 . The three-piece bowl assembly of  claim 5 , wherein the top portion is dimensioned to form a friction fit with the adapter. 
     
     
         7 . The three-piece bowl assembly of  claim 6 , wherein the top portion has a diameter larger than the diameter of the bottom portion. 
     
     
         8 . The three-piece bowl assembly of  claim 1 , wherein the plurality of apertures are radially interspaced. 
     
     
         9 . The three-piece bowl assembly of  claim 1 , wherein the base, the adapter, and the reservoir each releasably engage to permit cleaning of the three-piece bowl assembly. 
     
     
         10 . A three-piece bowl assembly, comprising:
 a base to fittingly engage with a water pipe;   an adapter fittingly engaged to the base and a reservoir, the reservoir to receive a smokable material therein;   a plurality of apertures positioned on the reservoir and the adapter, the plurality of apertures to direct the flow of smoke into the water pipe and to filter particulates, wherein the smoke egresses through the apertures of the reservoir and ingresses through the apertures of the adapter;   an insulative annular ring positioned on the reservoir; and   a heating element to ignite or vaporize smokable material within the reservoir.   
     
     
         11 . The three-piece bowl assembly of  claim 10 , wherein the three-piece bowl assembly is constructed of a metal. 
     
     
         12 . The three-piece bowl assembly of  claim 11 , wherein the reservoir includes a bottom to form a cavity wherein the smokable material is positioned. 
     
     
         13 . The three-piece bowl assembly of  claim 12 , wherein the reservoir includes a flange to form an upper edge. 
     
     
         14 . The three-piece bowl assembly of  claim 13 , wherein the annular ring is positioned on the reservoir. 
     
     
         15 . The three-piece bowl assembly of  claim 14 , wherein the base includes a top portion and a bottom portion separated by a conical central portion. 
     
     
         16 . The three-piece bowl assembly of  claim 15 , wherein the top portion is dimensioned to form a friction fit with the adapter. 
     
     
         17 . The three-piece bowl assembly of  claim 16 , wherein the top portion has a diameter larger than the diameter of the bottom portion. 
     
     
         18 . The three-piece bowl assembly of  claim 17 , wherein the plurality of apertures are radially interspaced. 
     
     
         19 . The three-piece bowl assembly of  claim 18 , wherein the base, the adapter, and the reservoir each releasably engage to permit cleaning of the three-piece bowl assembly. 
     
     
         20 . A three-piece bowl assembly, comprising:
 a base to fittingly engage with a water pipe, the base including a top portion to releasably engage with an adapter and a bottom portion to releasably engage with the water pipe, the adapter releasably engaged with a reservoir, the reservoir to receive a smokable material within a cavity wherein the smokable material is ignited;   a flange forming the top edge of the reservoir, the flange to facilitate the disengagement of the reservoir;   a plurality of apertures radially interspaced around the reservoir and the adapter, the plurality of apertures to direct the flow of smoke into the water pipe and to filter particulates, wherein the smoke egresses through the apertures of the reservoir and ingresses through the apertures of the adapter; and   an insulative annular ring positioned on the reservoir.
