Abstract
This disclosure describes, in part, techniques for automating transfers of funds from a deposit account of a user to a savings account of the user based on historical transaction data associated with the deposit account. Using historical deposits and withdrawals from the deposit account, a prediction may be made regarding deposits to, and withdrawals from, the deposit account that will occur in a future period. Based on that that information and a balance to maintain in the deposit account for the duration of the future period, the amount of funds to transfer from the deposit account to the savings account may be determined. The techniques may further include transferring the funds to the savings account once determined.

1 . A method implemented by a service provider, comprising:
accessing, from a database of the service provider, historical transaction data associated with a deposit account of a user, wherein the historical transaction data indicates dates and amounts of one or more historical deposits to the deposit account and one or more historical withdrawals from the deposit account; based at least in part on the historical transaction data, predicting at least one of one or more future deposits to the deposit account occurring in a future period or one or more future withdrawals from the deposit account occurring in the future period; determining a balance to maintain in the deposit account for a duration of the future period; and based at least in part on (i) the balance of the deposit account at a current time and (ii) the one or more predicted future deposits or the one or more predicted future withdrawals, determining an amount of funds to transfer from the deposit account to a savings account of the user.
2 . The method as claim 1 recites, further comprising:
automatically facilitating a transfer of the amount of funds from the deposit account to the savings account.
3 . The method as claim 2 recites, wherein the method is performed at regular intervals.
4 . The method as claim 1 recites, wherein the balance to maintain in the deposit account is determined based at least in part on a user preference or an output of a predictive model.

The method as claim 1 recites, wherein predicting the at least one of the one or more future deposits or the one or more future withdrawals is further based at least in part on historical account-balance information, wherein the historical account-balance information is associated with a balance of the deposit account over time.

The method as claim 5 recites, wherein predicting the at least one of the one or more future deposits or the one or more future withdrawals based at least in part on the historical transaction data comprises predicting using a predictive model trained with at least the historical transaction data and the historical account-balance information.
7 . The method as claim 6 recites, wherein the predictive model is further trained with additional historical transaction data associated with deposit accounts of one or more other users.
8 . The method as claim 5 recites, wherein predicting the at least one of the one or more future deposits or the one or more future withdrawals based at least in part on the historical transaction data comprises predicting using an algorithm.
9 . The method as claim 1 recites, wherein the savings account comprises a first savings account and the other account comprises at least one of a second savings account, an investment account, or a cryptocurrency account.
10 . The method as claim 1 recites, wherein the amount of funds is further based at least in part on one or more preferences of the user.
11 . The method as claim 1 recites, wherein at least one of (i) a historical deposit of the one or more historical deposits comprises a recurring deposit, or (ii) a historical withdrawal of the one or more historical withdrawals comprises a recurring withdrawal.

The method as claim 1 recites, wherein the current time is a first current time, the future period is a first future period, the balance of the deposit account at the current time is a first balance of the deposit account at a first current time, the balance to maintain in the deposit account is a first balance to maintain in the deposit account, the amount of funds is a first amount of funds, and the method further comprising:
accessing, from the database of the service provider, updated historical transaction data associated with the deposit account of the user, wherein the updated historical transaction data indicates dates and amounts of one or more additional historical deposits to the deposit account and one or more additional historical withdrawals from the deposit account;
based at least in part on the updated historical transaction data, predicting of one or more additional future deposits to the deposit account occurring in a second future period or one or more additional future withdrawals from the deposit account occurring in the second future period;
determining a second balance to maintain in the deposit account for a duration of the second future period; and
based at least in part on (i) a second balance of the deposit account at a second current time, and (iii) the one or more predicted additional future deposits or the one or more predicted additional future withdrawals, determining a second amount of funds to transfer from the deposit account to the savings account of the user.
13 . The method as claim 1 recites, wherein the deposit account is a linked bank account.
14 . A system comprising:
one or more processors; and one or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing instructions executable by the one or more processors, wherein the instructions cause the one or more processors to perform acts comprising:
accessing, from a database of a service provider, historical transaction data associated with a deposit account of a user, wherein the historical transaction data indicates dates and amounts of one or more historical deposits to the deposit account and one or more historical withdrawals from the deposit account;
based at least in part on the historical transaction data, predicting at least one of one or more future deposits to the deposit account occurring in a future period or one or more future withdrawals from the deposit account occurring in the future period;
determining a balance to maintain in the deposit account for a duration of the future period; and
based at least in part on (i) the balance of the deposit account at a current time and (ii) the at least one of the one or more predicted future deposits or the one or more predicted future withdrawals, determining an amount of funds to transfer from the deposit account to another account of the user.
15 . The system as claim 14 recites, wherein the balance to maintain in the deposit account is determined based at least in part on a user preference or an output of a predictive model.

The system as claim 14 recites, wherein predicting the at least one of the one or more future deposits or the one or more future withdrawals is further based at least in part on historical account-balance information, wherein the historical account-balance information is associated with a balance of the deposit account over time.

The system as claim 16 recites, wherein predicting the at least one of the one or more future deposits or the one or more future withdrawals based at least in part on the historical transaction data comprises predicting using a predictive model trained with at least the historical transaction data and the historical account-balance information.
18 . One or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing instructions executable by one or more processors that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform acts comprising:
accessing, from a database of a service provider, historical transaction data associated with a deposit account of a user, wherein the historical transaction data indicates dates and amounts of one or more historical deposits to the deposit account and one or more historical withdrawals from the deposit account; based at least in part on the historical transaction data, predicting at least one of or more future deposits to the deposit account occurring in a future period or one or more future withdrawals from the deposit account occurring in the future period; determining a balance to maintain in the deposit account for a duration of the future period; and based at least in part on (i) the balance of the deposit account at a current time and (ii) the one or more predicted future deposits or the one or more predicted future withdrawals, determining an amount of funds to transfer from the deposit account to another account of the user.

The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media as claim 18 recites, wherein predicting the at least one of the one or more future deposits or the one or more future withdrawals is further based at least in part on historical account-balance information, wherein the historical account-balance information is associated with a balance of the deposit account over time.
