System for removing impurities out of taurine mother liquor and taurine mother liquor recovery
Abstract
A production system for removing impurities from a taurine mother liquor and recovering the taurine mother liquor. The system can be used in an ethylene oxide production process for taurine and the treatment of the last mother liquor of taurine. The system includes, consecutively, an anion resin adsorption device for adsorbing the anions of taurine and sodium isethionate, and an ammonia mixing and desalination device. A feed port of the anion resin adsorption device is operatively connected to receive the last mother liquor of taurine generated in the ethylene oxide taurine production process, and the anion resin adsorption device includes an anion exchange resin column. The ammonia mixing and desalination device includes an ammonia mixing reaction tank, a sealed filtering device, and a circulation path for returning filtrate to the ammonia mixing reaction tank.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A system for removing impurities from, and recovering the last mother liquor of taurine in an ethylene oxide taurine production process, wherein the system comprises, consecutively:
(a) an anion resin adsorption device for adsorbing the anions of taurine and sodium isethionate; and (b) an ammonia mixing and desalination device;
wherein
a feed port of the anion resin adsorption device is operatively connected to receive the last mother liquor of taurine generated in the ethylene oxide taurine production process,
the anion resin adsorption device includes an anion exchange resin column, and
the ammonia mixing and desalination device includes an ammonia mixing reaction tank, a sealed filtering device, and a circulation path for returning filtrate to the ammonia mixing reaction tank.
2 . The system according to claim 1 , further comprising an activated carbon decolorization and impurity removal device located upstream of the anion resin adsorption device, the activated carbon decolorization and impurity removal device including a decolorization tank and a filtering device.
3 . The system according to claim 2 , further comprising a cationic resin adsorption device connected to the upstream end or the downstream end of the activated carbon decolorization and impurity removal device, wherein the cationic resin adsorption device is adapted for reducing the pH of the last mother liquor of taurine.
4 . The system according to claim 3 , wherein
the cationic resin adsorption device is connected to the downstream end of the activated carbon decolorization and impurity removal device, and further wherein the cationic resin adsorption device comprises a raw material tank and a cation exchange resin column, the raw material tank connected to the discharge port of the activated carbon decolorization and impurity removal device, and the cationic exchange resin column is connected to the anion exchange resin column.
5 . The system according to claim 1 , wherein the anion resin adsorption device further comprises:
a receiving tank having an outlet connected to a feed port of the ammonia mixing and desalination device; and a regeneration feed valve for controlling an addition of alkaline liquid to the anion exchange resin column for absorbing the anions of taurine and sodium isethionate on an anion exchange resin within the anion exchange resin column such that the absorbed anions can be eluted and collected in the receiving tank and the anion exchange resin regenerated.
6 . The system according to claim 5 , wherein the ammonia mixing reaction tank is provided with an ammonia inlet, a feed inlet, and a discharge outlet, the discharge outlet of the ammonia mixing reaction tank connected to a feed port of the sealed filtering device through a pump, said pump provided with a transfer discharge valve for discharging filtered material.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
