Accessory

Abstract

An accessory includes: a detection terminal; a first power supply terminal through which a first power supply voltage is supplied; a first ground terminal used as a ground potential; a second power supply terminal through which a second power supply voltage is supplied; a second ground terminal used as a ground potential; a ready terminal used to indicate whether or not communication is allowed: a first data terminal that receives a first data signal; a second data terminal that outputs a second data signal; a clock terminal that outputs a clock signal; and a third data terminal that outputs a third data signal, wherein: the first ground terminal, the second power supply terminal, and the second ground terminal are positioned between the first power supply terminal and the ready terminal; and the first data terminal and the second data terminal are positioned between the ready terminal and the clock terminal.

1 . An accessory removably attachable to a camera body and including a plurality of terminals, the accessory comprising:
 a detection terminal for causing the camera body to detect that the accessory is attached to the camera body;   a power supply terminal through which a power supply voltage is supplied from the camera body;   a ground terminal used as a ground potential;   a ready terminal used to indicate whether or not communication with the camera body is allowed;   a first data terminal that receives a first data signal from the camera body;   a second data terminal that outputs a second data signal to the camera body;   a clock terminal that outputs a clock signal to the camera body; and   a third data terminal that outputs a third data signal to the camera body in synchronization with the clock signal.   
     
     
         2 . The accessory according to  claim 1 , wherein
 the ground terminal is positioned between the power supply terminal and the ready terminal, and   the first data terminal and the second data terminal are positioned between the ready terminal and the clock terminal.   
     
     
         3 . The accessory according to  claim 1 , wherein
 drive-related terminals including the power supply terminal and the ground terminal, and communication-related terminals including the first data terminal, the second data terminal, the clock terminal, and the third data terminal are positioned across from the ready terminal.   
     
     
         4 . The accessory according to  claim 1 , wherein
 the accessory does not receive any clock signal, from the camera body, that is generated in the camera body.   
     
     
         5 . The accessory according to  claim 1 , wherein
 the power supply terminal is the only terminal through which the power supply voltage is supplied from the camera body.   
     
     
         6 . The accessory according to  claim 1 , wherein
 the ground terminal is the only terminal that is in contact with a camera-side ground terminal of the camera body.   
     
     
         7 . The accessory according to  claim 1 , wherein
 the camera body comprises a camera-side clock terminal that outputs a clock signal generated in the camera body, and   the accessory has no terminal that is in contact with the camera-side clock terminal.   
     
     
         8 . The accessory according to  claim 1 , wherein
 the total number of terminals, of the accessory, through which the power supply voltage is supplied from the camera body is less than the total number of terminals, of the camera body, through which the power supply voltage is supplied to the accessory.   
     
     
         9 . The accessory according to  claim 1 , wherein
 the total number of terminals, of the accessory, that is in contact with camera-side ground terminals, of the camera body is less than the total number of the camera-side ground terminals of the camera body.   
     
     
         10 . The accessory according to  claim 1 , wherein
 a communicator is provided for a first communication and a second communication that is independent of the first communication,   a first terminal group for the first communication comprises the first data terminal, the second data terminal and the ready terminal, and   a second terminal group for the second communication consists of the clock terminal and the third terminal.   
     
     
         11 . The accessory according to  claim 1 , wherein
 the accessory is an interchangeable lens.
