Method and apparatus for transmitting data in communication system
Abstract
The disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. A method for transmitting information in a communication system is provided. The method includes receiving information for allocating at least two transmission resources, allocating at least two transmission resources, identifying a data unit corresponding to at least one logical channel, determining a size of the data unit, which is to be transmitted based on a size of the allocated at least two transmission resources, and transmitting data to a receiver based on the determined size of the data unit.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A method performed by a terminal in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
receiving, from a base station, a radio resource control (RRC) message including information on numerology for at least one logical channel; generating a radio link control (RLC) protocol data unit (PDU) regardless of receiving information on an uplink resource, the RLC PDU being associated with a logical channel; receiving, from the base station, the information on the uplink resource, the uplink resource being associated with a numerology; identifying the logical channel of the at least one logical channel based on the numerology; and generating a medium access control (MAC) PDU including the RLC PDU associated with the logical channel.
2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising allocating resources to the identified logical channel for information on the uplink resource.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein receiving the information on the uplink resource further comprising:
receiving first information on a first uplink resource associated with a first numerology; and receiving second information on a second uplink grant associated with a second numerology.
4 . The method of claim 3 , further comprising:
performing a logical channel prioritization (LCP) procedure based on a total size of the first uplink resource and the second uplink resource, in case that the first numerology and the second numerology are same.
5 . The method of claim 4 , further comprising:
generating a plurality of MAC PDUs respectively corresponding to the first uplink resource and the second uplink resource.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the numerology for the identified logical channel is identical with the numerology associated with the uplink resource.
7 . A terminal in a wireless communication system, the terminal comprising:
a transceiver; and a controller configured to:
receive, from a base station, a radio resource control (RRC) message including information on numerology for at least one logical channel,
generate a radio link control (RLC) protocol data unit (PDU) regardless of receiving information on an uplink resource, the RLC PDU being associated with a logical channel,
receive, from the base station, the information on the uplink resource, the uplink resource being associated with a numerology,
identifying the logical channel of the at least one logical channel based on the numerology, and
generate a medium access control (MAC) PDU including the RLC PDU associated with the logical channel.
8 . The transmitter of claim 7 , wherein the controller is further configured to allocate resources to the identified logical channel for information on the uplink resource.
9 . The transmitter of claim 7 , wherein the controller is configured to receive first information on a first uplink resource associated with a first numerology, and receive second information on a second uplink grant associated with a second numerology.
10 . The transmitter of claim 9 , wherein the controller is configured to perform a logical channel prioritization (LCP) procedure based on a total size of the first uplink resource and the second uplink resource, in case that the first numerology and the second numerology are same.
11 . The transmitter of claim 10 , wherein the controller is configured to generate a plurality of MAC PDUs respectively corresponding to the first uplink resource and the second uplink resource.
12 . The transmitter of claim 7 , wherein the numerology for the identified logical channel is identical with the numerology associated with the uplink resource.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
