Method and apparatus for processing information of a terminal

Abstract

A method and apparatus for processing information of a terminal, is provided. The method includes parsing at least one message for at least one keyword and at least one phone number related to the at least one keyword; mapping the at least one keyword and the at least one phone number related to the at least one keyword and storing the at least one keyword and the at least one phone number related to the at least one keyword that have been mapped in a database; in response to a predetermined keyword being received as a search input, searching the database for the at least one phone number that has been mapped with the predetermined keyword; and displaying the at least one phone number related to the predetermined keyword that is found, on a display.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A method performed by an electronic device, the method comprising:
 storing at least one of contact information including a phone number and a keyword related to the phone number in a phonebook storing space of the electronic device;   receiving at least one message from an external device;   storing the received at least one message and at least one phone number of a sender of each of the received at least one message in a message storing space of the electronic device;   receiving a search keyword as a search request input;   searching for the received search keyword from at least one keyword of the at least one contact information stored in the phonebook storing space and the at least one message stored in the message storing space;   based on contact information corresponding to the search keyword being found from the at least one contact information stored in the phonebook storing space, displaying the found contact information corresponding to the search keyword, as a search result;   based on a message corresponding to the search keyword being found from the at least one message stored in the message storing space, displaying the found message corresponding to the search keyword and a phone number of a sender of the found message, as a search result; and   based on receiving a user input which adds the phone number of a sender of the found message corresponding to the search keyword to a phonebook, storing the phone number of a sender of the found message in the phonebook storing space.   
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising executing a phonebook application, wherein the phonebook application provides the at least one contact information stored in the phonebook storing space, and does not provide the at least one phone number of a sender stored in the message storing space. 
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising separating a keyword from the at least one message, wherein the searching for the received search keyword comprises searching for the search keyword from the at least one message stored in the message storing space by using the separated keyword from the at least one message. 
     
     
         4 . The method of  claim 3 , further comprising:
 mapping the separated keyword from the at least one message to a phone number of a sender of a corresponding message; and   storing mapping information generated by the mapping, in the message storing space.   
     
     
         5 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising displaying a phone number which are communicated at least once, together with communication detail information comprising at least one of a communication time, a communication type, or a number of communications, as a search result. 
     
     
         6 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the displaying the found contact information as a search result comprising displaying a name tagged image related to the found contact information together with the found contact information. 
     
     
         7 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising, based on a user input selecting the found contact information displayed as the search result, providing a user interface for transmitting a text message to the selected contact information. 
     
     
         8 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising, based on a user input selecting the contact information displayed as the search result, providing a user interface for starting a call to the selected contact information. 
     
     
         9 . An electronic device comprising:
 a touch display;   a communication interface;   at least one memory storing instructions; and   at least one processor configured to execute the instructions to:   store at least one of contact information including a phone number and a keyword related to the phone number in a phonebook storing space of the at least one memory,   receive at least one message from an external device via the communication interface,   store the received at least one message and at least one phone number of a sender of each of the received at least one message in a message storing space of the least one memory,   receive a search keyword as a search request input via the touch display,   search for the received search keyword from at least one keyword of the at least one contact information stored in the phonebook storing space and the at least one message stored in the message storing space,   based on contact information corresponding to the search keyword being found from the at least one contact information stored in the phonebook storing space, display the found contact information corresponding to the search keyword, as a search result on the touch display,   based on a message corresponding to the search keyword being found from the at least one message stored in the message storing space, display the found message corresponding to the search keyword and a phone number of a sender of the found message, as a search result on the touch display, and   based on receiving a user input which adds the phone number of a sender of the found message corresponding to the search keyword to a phonebook, store the phone number of a sender of the found message in the phonebook storing space.   
     
     
         10 . The electronic device of  claim 9 , wherein the at least one processer is further configured to, by executing the instructions, execute a phonebook application, wherein the phonebook application provides the at least one contact information stored in the phonebook storing space, and does not provide the at least one phone number of a sender stored in the message storing space. 
     
     
         11 . The electronic device of  claim 10 , wherein the at least one processer is further configured to, by executing the instructions,
 separate a keyword from the at least one message, and   search for the search keyword from the at least one message stored in the message storing space by using the separated keyword from the at least one message.   
     
     
         12 . The electronic device of  claim 11 , wherein the at least one processer is further configured to, by executing the instructions,
 map the separated keyword from the at least one message to a phone number of a sender of a corresponding message, and   store mapping information generated by the mapping, in the message storing space.   
     
     
         13 . The electronic device of  claim 9 , wherein the at least one processer is further configured to, by executing the instructions, display a phone number which are communicated at least once, together with communication detail information comprising at least one of a communication time, a communication type, or a number of communications, as a search result on the touch display. 
     
     
         14 . The electronic device of  claim 9 , wherein the at least one processer is further configured to, by executing the instructions, display a name tagged image related to the found contact information together with the found contact information on the touch display. 
     
     
         15 . The electronic device of  claim 9 , wherein the at least one processer is further configured to, by executing the instructions, based on a user input selecting the found contact information displayed as the search result, provide a user interface for transmitting a text message to the selected contact information. 
     
     
         16 . The electronic device of  claim 9 , wherein the at least one processer is further configured to, by executing the instructions, based on a user input selecting the contact information displayed as the search result, provide a user interface for starting a call to the selected contact information.
