Automated insurer insured interactions

Abstract

A computerized immediate settlement insurance claim payment system comprising insurance policy issuing functionality for issuing an insurance policy to an insured, and associating the policy with an insurance card to be presented by the insured in association with a card reader to cover the cost of an insurance event, the policy including a chargeback provision allowing the insurer to charge back payments made to the insured via an identified credit card of the insured; automatic insurance claim verification functionality operative to verify the right of the insured to receive payment from the insurer by verifying at least one of the value of the payment, the type and location of the recipient; insurance claim documentation requesting functionality operative to request from the insured documentation of the insured event; and chargeback functionality operative to charge back, in the absence of documentation, at least part of the payment via the identified credit card.

1 . A system for providing remote automated payment of an insurance claim, said system comprising:
 a claim processing server communicatively coupled to a data communication network and functionally adapted to receive and evaluate an insurance claim within a context of an existing insurance contract between a claimant and an insurance provider, wherein said received claim is for funds to compensate a service provider for services covered under the insurance contract and includes: (a) identification of the claimant, (b) identification of service for which compensation funding is being claimed, and (c) location of where service is or was provided;   a funding authorization server configured to, upon receiving instructions from said claim processing server, enable on a charge card network a charge card account associated with the claimant one or more payment requests up to an amount and pursuant to conditions designated in the claim processing server instructions; and   wherein said claim processing server generates instructions to said funding authorization server by comparing parameters in the received claim to a knowledgebase which includes data correlating claimable services and acceptable locations for claimable services with acceptable claim payment amounts and estimates a total acceptable amount within constraints defined within the existing insurance contract of the claimant.   
     
     
         2 . The system according to  claim 1 , wherein said a charge card account is chargeable using a dedicated payment card. 
     
     
         3 . The system according to  claim 1 , wherein said claim processing server further comprises voice analysis modules configured to automatically detect fraudulent requests for automated remote payment based on voice analysis. 
     
     
         4 . The system according to  claim 1 , wherein said claim processing server further includes a claim resolution module. 
     
     
         5 . The system according to  claim 4 , wherein said claim resolution module designates a given received claim as closed upon receiving in an indication over a digital network that funds authorized pursuant to the claim processing server instructions have been deployed in accordance with condition of the claim processing instructions for the given received claim.

The system according to  claim 4 , wherein said claim resolution module includes a contract compliance checker to check whether the claim payment for the designated received claim was deployed in accordance with the conditions of the claim processing instructions for the given received claim. 
     
     
         7 . The system according to  claim 6 , wherein said claim resolution module updates a knowledge base with parameters from the designated claim, corresponding payment and resulting checker results. 
     
     
         8 . A method of providing remote automated payment of an insurance claim, said method comprising:
 receiving in a digital format and computationally evaluating an insurance claim within a context of an existing insurance contract between a claimant and an insurance provider, wherein the received claim is for funds to compensate a service provider for services covered under the insurance contract and includes: (a) identification of the claimant, (b) identification of service for which compensation funding is being claimed, and (c) location of where service is or was provided; and   messaging a charge card network authorization for a charge card account associated with the claimant to approve one or more payment requests up to an amount and pursuant to conditions designated by an output of the computational claim evaluation, wherein computation claim evaluation includes comparing parameters in the received claim to a knowledgebase which includes data correlating claimable services and acceptable locations for claimable services with acceptable claim payment amounts and estimates a total acceptable amount within constraints defined within the existing insurance contract of the claimant.   
     
     
         9 . The method according to  claim 8 , wherein the charge card account is chargeable using a dedicated payment card.

The method according to  claim 11 , wherein said claim resolution module designates a given received claim as closed upon receiving in an indication over a digital network that funds authorized pursuant to the claim processing server instructions have been deployed in accordance with condition of the claim processing instructions for the given received claim.

The method according to  claim 11 , wherein said claim resolution module includes a contract compliance checker to check whether the claim payment for the designated received claim was deployed in accordance with the conditions of the claim processing instructions for the given received claim. 
     
     
         14 . The method according to  claim 13 , wherein said claim resolution module updates a knowledge base with parameters from the designated claim, corresponding payment and resulting checker results.
