Abstract

Facilitating secure conveyance of location information and other information in advanced networks (e.g., 4G, 5G, and beyond) is provided herein. Operations of a system can comprise transforming, at a chipset level of the device, information indicative of a location of the device into a binary representation of the information indicative of the location of the device. The operations can also comprise embedding the binary representation of the information indicative of the location of the device into a message. Further, the operations can comprise facilitating a transmission of the message and the binary representation of the information indicative of the location of the device to a network device of a communications network.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A method, comprising:
transforming, by a user equipment comprising a processor, ranging information into information indicative of a location of the user equipment, wherein the ranging information is measured timing offsets of cell sites; and facilitating, by the user equipment and to network equipment, a conveyance of a message comprising a binary representation of the information indicative of the location of the user equipment, wherein the message is selected from a group of messages based on an occurrence frequency of a transmission of the message being determined to satisfy a defined occurrence frequency level.

2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
prior to the facilitating, embedding, by the user equipment, the binary representation into least significant bits of the message.

3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the least significant bits comprise least significant bits of existing radio measurements, and wherein the embedding comprises embedding the binary representation into the least significant bits of the existing radio measurements.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the message is a first message, and wherein the method further comprises:
prior to the facilitating, embedding, by the user equipment, the binary representation via steganography, wherein the steganography facilitates concealing the first message in a second message.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the message is a layer 2 embedded message.

6 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
prior to the facilitating, converting, by the user equipment, the information indicative of the location of the user equipment into the binary representation.

7 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the converting comprises translating location information into the information indicative of the location at a radio chipset level of the user equipment.

8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the defined occurrence frequency level is determined to retain a defined radio link performance level of a radio link of a communications network that comprises the user equipment and the network equipment.

9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the facilitating comprises facilitating the transmission of the message and the binary representation via a new radio network communication protocol.

         10 . A system, comprising:
a processor; and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, facilitate performance of operations, comprising:
 converting measured timing offsets of cell sites into information indicative of a location of a user equipment;
selecting a message from a group of messages, resulting in a selected message, wherein the selecting is based on a determination that an occurrence frequency of a transmission of the message satisfies a defined occurrence frequency level; and
conveying, to network equipment, the selected message and a binary representation of the information indicative of the location of the user equipment.

11 . The system of claim 10 , wherein the operations further comprise:
prior to the conveying, embedding the binary representation into least significant bits of the selected message.

12 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the least significant bits comprise least significant bits of existing radio measurements.

13 . The system of claim 10 , wherein the operations further comprise:
prior to the conveying, concealing the selected message in another message via steganography.

14 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the operations further comprise:
prior to the conveying, converting the information indicative of the location of the user equipment into the binary representation.

15 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the converting comprises translating location information into the information indicative of the location at a radio chipset level of the user equipment.

16 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the defined occurrence frequency level is determined to retain a defined radio link performance level of a radio link of a communications network that comprises the user equipment and the network equipment.

17 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the conveying comprises conveying the message and the binary representation via at least a fifth generation network communication protocol.

18 . A non-transitory machine-readable medium, comprising executable instructions that, when executed by a processor, facilitate performance of operations, comprising:
based on measured timing offsets of cell sites, determining a location of a user equipment; selecting a message from a group of messages, resulting in a selected message, wherein the selecting is based on a determination that an occurrence frequency of a transmission of the message satisfies a defined occurrence frequency level; and transmitting, to network equipment, the selected message and a binary representation of the information indicative of the location of the user equipment.

19 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 18 , wherein the determining comprises converting the measured timing offsets of cell sites into the location of the user equipment.

20 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 18 , wherein the defined occurrence frequency level is determined to retain a defined radio link performance level of a radio link of a communications network that comprises the user equipment and the network equipment.
