Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . (canceled)

         2 . A system comprising:
 a camera comprising:
 one or more magnets;
 a camera sensor for generating image data; and
 wireless communication circuitry for providing image data wirelessly to a computing device, and
   a monitor comprising a display surface and a structural plate, wherein the one or more magnets provide a removable attachment of the camera to the display surface of the monitor through a magnetic force applied between the one or more magnets and the structural plate.

         3 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the monitor is external to the computing device.

         4 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the monitor is integrated into the computing device.

         5 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the structural plate is a backplate.

         6 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the computational device is a laptop computer.

         7 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the camera comprises a battery.

         8 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the camera comprises an LED indicating a status of the camera.

         9 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the monitor is a desktop monitor.

         10 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the camera sensor is an active pixel sensor-based image sensor.

         11 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the camera sensor is a charge-coupled-device-based image sensor.

         12 . The system of claim 2 , further comprising a base unit comprising a mechanism for removably holding the camera and the mechanism is capable of holding the camera in a first orientation in which the camera sensor points towards a user of the monitor and in a second orientation in which the camera sensor points away from a user of the monitor.

         13 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the base unit is external to the computing device.

         14 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the base unit is integrated into the computing device.

         15 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the base unit is integrated into the monitor.

         16 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the wireless communication circuitry is to provide the image data wirelessly to the computing device via WiFi.

         17 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the camera sensor is a first camera sensor that is world-facing, the camera further comprising a second camera sensor that is display-facing.

         18 . A system comprising:
 a camera comprising:
 one or more magnets for attaching the camera to a display surface of a monitor;
 a camera sensor for generating image data; and
 wireless communication circuitry for providing image data wirelessly to a computing device, and
   a base unit comprising a mechanism for removably holding the camera and the mechanism is capable of holding the camera in a first orientation in which the camera sensor points towards a user of the monitor and in a second orientation in which the camera sensor points away from a user of the monitor.

         19 . The system of claim 18 , further comprising the monitor, the monitor comprising the display surface and a structural plate, wherein the one or more magnets provide a removable attachment of the camera to the display surface of the monitor through a magnetic force applied between the one or more magnets and the structural plate.

         20 . The system of claim 19 , wherein the monitor is external to the computing device.

         21 . The system of claim 19 , wherein the monitor is integrated into the computing device.

         22 . The system of claim 18 , wherein the structural plate is a backplate.

         23 . The system of claim 18 , wherein the camera comprises a battery.

         24 . The system of claim 18 , wherein the camera comprises an LED indicating a status of the camera.

         25 . The system of claim 18 , wherein the base unit is integrated into the computing device.
