Structured informational link annotations
Abstract
Methods, systems, and apparatus include computer programs encoded on a computer-readable storage medium. A method includes: for each of a plurality of content items in an inventory of content items: identifying an entity associated with the content item and a plurality of page types for a vertical associated with a product or service described in the content item; locating a plurality of informational pages associated with the entity; classifying each informational page based on the page types; identifying queries associated with the entity, wherein a query is used as a selection criteria for delivering one or more content items associated with the entity; for each informational page of the plurality of informational pages determining relevant queries from the identified queries; and storing in a data structure an association between the content item, data associated with the relevant queries and associated informational pages.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . (canceled)
2 . A method comprising:
selecting, by one or more computers, a content item for display at a client device; identifying, by the one or more computers, a link to an informational page corresponding to the content item; dynamically augmenting, by the one or more computers, the content item to (i) include the link to the informational page, and (ii) present content related to the informational page and different from the link to the information page; and providing, by the one or more computers, the dynamically augmented content item for display at the client device, wherein the dynamically augmented content item causes the client device to request a resource locator of the informational page in response to interaction with the link of the dynamically augmented content item.
3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein identifying the link to the information page corresponding to the content item comprises selecting, from multiple informational pages corresponding to the content item, the informational page.
4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein selecting, from multiple informational pages corresponding to the content item, the informational page comprises selecting the informational page based on data related to a request to provide one or more content items for display at the client device.
5 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the data related to the request for the content item comprises characteristics of a resource with which the content item will be displayed at the client device.
6 . The method of claim 2 , wherein identifying the link to the informational page corresponding to the content item comprises dynamically generating the link in response to identifying the informational page.
7 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the content related to the informational page comprises text that is different from text of the link to the informational page.
8 . The method of claim 2 , further comprising generating the link based on content of the informational page.
9 . The method of claim 2 , further comprising generating the link based on an attribute of the informational page.
10 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the attribute comprises a title of the informational page.
11 . A system comprising:
a memory storing machine readable instructions; and one or more computers configured to interact with the memory and execute the machine readable instructions, wherein execution of the machine readable instructions cause the one or more computers to perform operations comprising:
selecting, by the one or more computers, a content item for display at a client device;
identifying, by the one or more computers, a link to an informational page corresponding to the content item;
dynamically augmenting, by the one or more computers, the content item to (i) include the link to the informational page, and (ii) present content related to the informational page and different from the link to the information page; and
providing, by the one or more computers, the dynamically augmented content item for display at the client device, wherein the dynamically augmented content item causes the client device to request a resource locator of the informational page in response to interaction with the link of the dynamically augmented content item.
12 . The system of claim 11 , wherein identifying the link to the information page corresponding to the content item comprises selecting, from multiple informational pages corresponding to the content item, the informational page.
13 . The system of claim 12 , wherein selecting, from multiple informational pages corresponding to the content item, the informational page comprises selecting the informational page based on data related to a request to provide one or more content items for display at the client device.
14 . The system of claim 13 , wherein the data related to the request for the content item comprises characteristics of a resource with which the content item will be displayed at the client device.
15 . The system of claim 11 , wherein identifying the link to the informational page corresponding to the content item comprises dynamically generating the link in response to identifying the informational page.
16 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the content related to the informational page comprises text that is different from text of the link to the informational page.
17 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the operations comprise generating the link based on content of the informational page.
18 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the operations comprise generating the link based on an attribute of the informational page.
19 . The system of claim 18 , wherein the attribute comprises a title of the informational page.
20 . A non-transitory computer readable medium storing instructions that, upon execution by one or more computers, cause the one or more computers to perform operations comprising:
selecting, by the one or more computers, a content item for display at a client device; identifying, by the one or more computers, a link to an informational page corresponding to the content item; dynamically augmenting, by the one or more computers, the content item to (i) include the link to the informational page, and (ii) present content related to the informational page and different from the link to the information page; and providing, by the one or more computers, the dynamically augmented content item for display at the client device, wherein the dynamically augmented content item causes the client device to request a resource locator of the informational page in response to interaction with the link of the dynamically augmented content item.
21 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 20 , wherein identifying the link to the information page corresponding to the content item comprises selecting, from multiple informational pages corresponding to the content item, the informational page.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
