Abstract

A dental implant device in the form of an interface member for forming an individually customized dental implant abutment mounted on a connection platform of a dental implant anchor adapted to be implanted, the interface member is a hollow tubular member featuring an internal lumen defined between a non-customizable distal portion and a customizable proximal portion.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A dental implant system including at least two implant devices in the form of an interface member each configured to be a base for an assembly forming an individually customized dental implant abutment, each interface member is configured to be mounted on a connection platform of a dental implant anchor adapted to be implanted, and wherein each interface member is a hollow tubular member having an apical end, an occlusal end and an internal lumen defined therebetween, wherein the apical end defines a non-customizable distal portion and the occlusal end defines a customizable proximal portion,
 a. wherein said apical end defines the distal portion defining a non-customizable dental implant anchor coupling interface having a surface for matching and fitting with the dental implant anchor's connection platform; b. wherein said occlusal end defines the proximal portion having an elevated rim that extends from said dental implant anchor coupling interface, said elevated rim configured to be customizable along its vertical dimension so as to assume a surface, an angle and a height, wherein once customized said elevated rim defines a trans-gingival collar of the individually customized dental implant abutment assembly, the upper end of said elevated rim defining a flange provided for supporting a dental implant restoration or crown; said flange configured relative to host gingival tissue and to be parallel to an occlusal plane; and wherein the external surface of said proximal portion has a cylindrical profile and a constant diameter along its length; and wherein each of said at least two interface members are individually customized along said occlusal end to be in parallel alignment with one another.

2 . The device of claim 1 wherein said elevated rim of said interface member has a height of at least 0.5 mm and up to 7 mm.

3 . The device of claim 1 wherein said proximal portion has a diameter that is at least equal to or larger than the diameter of said distal portion.

4 . The device of claim 1 wherein said proximal portion has an internal surface defined along said lumen, wherein said internal surface is a retentive surface.

5 . The device of claim 1 wherein at least a portion of said an internal surface of said proximal portion features a polygonal configuration.

6 . The device of claim 1 wherein said interface member is made of biocompatible materials selected from the group consisting of plastics, carbon fiber, fiberglass, acrylics, polymers, antibacterial metals or alloys thereof, titanium, titanium alloy, tantalum, tantalum alloy, zirconium, or any combination thereof.

7 . The device of claim 1 wherein said proximal portion has an internal surface defined along said lumen, wherein said internal surface is contoured.

8 . The device of claim 1 wherein a least a portion of said internal surface of said proximal portion assumes a cylindrical cross sectional profile.

9 . The device of claim 1 wherein at least a portion of said internal surface of said proximal portion features a conical cross sectional profile.

10 . The device of claim 1 wherein said interface member has at least two diameters along its length.

11 . The device of claim 1 features a collar portion defined between said apical end and a base of said occlusal end, the collar portion having a profile selected from gradually in-creasing slope, gradually decreasing slope, stepwise profile, curvy, concave, or convex profile.

12 . The device of claim 1 wherein said flange assume a shapes selected from: oval or elliptical.
