Abstract
A smoking device for generating and releasing smoking vapor free from contamination into the mouth of a user comprising a mouthpiece for providing vapor for inhalation to a user including a tubular casing containing a heater for heating a smoking substance at a substantially constant low temperature by regulating the flow of fuel by a thermal regulator and further having means for visual indication of the operation of the device.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 .- 19 . (canceled)
20 . A vaporizer apparatus comprising:
a cartridge containing a vaporizable material within a wrapper having perforations formed therethrough and configured to allow air to pass through the wrapper; the wrapper comprising aluminum foil; the vaporizable material comprising tobacco and a vapor forming medium; the cartridge comprising two air and vapor permeable surfaces configured to allow gas transfer through the vaporizable material, the gas transfer comprising entry of air into the cartridge and exit of the air and a vapor generated by heating the vaporizable material; and a device comprising:
an oven region comprising an oven chamber configured to receive the cartridge and to heat the vaporizable material;
an air inlet through which air is drawn into the oven region; and
an airflow path that traverses the perforated container between the two air and vapor permeable surfaces.
21 . The vaporizer apparatus of claim 20 , wherein the cartridge comprises cellulose.
22 . The vaporizer apparatus of claim 20 , wherein the cartridge is configured to remain substantially intact during the heating of the vaporizable material in the wrapper.
23 . The vaporizer apparatus of claim 20 , wherein the vapor forming medium comprises glycerin.
24 . The vaporizer apparatus of claim 20 , wherein the device is configured to heat the vaporizable material to a temperature required to vaporize the vaporizable material.
25 . The vaporizer apparatus of claim 20 , wherein the device is configured to heat the cartridge to a temperature below about 400° F.
26 . The vaporizer apparatus of claim 20 , wherein the two or more air and vapor permeable perforated surfaces are on different sides of the cartridge.
27 . The vaporizer apparatus of claim 20 , further comprising a heater.
28 . The vaporizer apparatus of claim 20 , wherein the heater is a battery-powered electric heater.
29 . A cartridge configured for use in a vaporizer device comprising an oven chamber, the cartridge comprising:
a wrapper having perforations formed therethrough and configured to allow air to pass through the wrapper; the wrapper comprising aluminum foil; a vaporizable material within the wrapper; and two air and vapor permeable surfaces configured to allow gas transfer through the vaporizable material, the gas transfer comprising entry of air into cartridge and exit of the air and a vapor generated by heating the vaporizable material when the cartridge is place in the oven chamber.
30 . The cartridge of claim 29 , wherein the vaporizable material comprises tobacco.
31 . The cartridge of claim 29 , wherein the vaporizable material comprises botanicals.
32 . The cartridge of claim 29 , wherein the vaporizable material comprises cannabis.
33 . The cartridge of claim 29 , wherein the vaporizable material comprises fine pieces of the vaporizable material.
34 . The cartridge of claim 29 , wherein the vaporizable material comprises loose leaves of the vaporizable material.
35 . The cartridge of claim 29 , wherein the vaporizable material comprises a vapor forming medium.
36 . The cartridge of claim 29 , wherein the two air and vapor permeable surfaces are on different sides of the cartridge.
37 . The cartridge of claim 29 , wherein the wrapper is pre-perforated with the perforations such that the wrapper does not require being punctured during use.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
