Makeup Applicator Brush Device with Integrated Makeup Product Reservoir

Abstract

The present invention relates to a makeup applicator brush device for storing and dispensing a cosmetic/makeup product for application onto the skin of a user, thereby eliminating the need to carry multiple bottles of makeup. The device is a combination of a makeup bottle and a brush and features a reservoir for storing and dispensing makeup product onto bristles of a brush head. The makeup product is selectively dispensed upon either pushing a push button disposed on a wand of the device or by turning a connector disposed between the wand and brush head of the device. The device can be used for storing and dispensing any type of cosmetic formulation and allows for convenient, compact, and portable application in a singular brush.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A cosmetic applicator comprising:
 a wand having a central reservoir;   a brush head mounted to a base of said wand;   wherein said reservoir is replenishable and stores a cosmetic;   wherein said brush head includes a plurality of bristles;   wherein said reservoir and said brush head are coupled through a shaft for dispensing said cosmetic from said reservoir to said brush head;   wherein said wand is actuated to dispense said cosmetic onto said plurality of bristles;   wherein said plurality of bristles extend radially outwards from said base of said wand; and   further wherein said cosmetic applicator is a makeup brush for applying the cosmetic to the skin of a user.   
     
     
         2 . The cosmetic applicator of  claim 1 , wherein each of said plurality of bristles comprise an opening therethrough for dispensing said cosmetic. 
     
     
         3 . The cosmetic applicator of  claim 1 , wherein said plurality of bristles are uniform in thickness and uniform in height for applying said cosmetic onto a skin surface of a user. 
     
     
         4 . The cosmetic applicator of  claim 1 , wherein said cosmetic is selected from a group consisting of a liquid, a solid, a powder, an aqueous solution, a non-aqueous solution and an emulsion. 
     
     
         5 . The cosmetic applicator of  claim 4 , wherein said plurality of bristles are comprised of a material selected from a group consisting of a plastic, a nylon and a synthetic fiber. 
     
     
         6 . The cosmetic applicator of  claim 4 , wherein said plurality of bristles comprise an animal hair selected from a group consisting of a squirrel, a badger, a mink, a kolinsky sable and a weasel. 
     
     
         7 . The cosmetic applicator of  claim 1 , wherein said wand comprises a hollow ergonomic handle for holding said cosmetic applicator. 
     
     
         8 . The cosmetic applicator of  claim 1 , wherein said brush head is selectively removable from said wand for accessing said reservoir. 
     
     
         9 . A cosmetic applicator comprising:
 a wand having a central reservoir;   a connector having a central shaft therethrough for connecting said wand with a brush head;   wherein said reservoir is replenishable and stores a cosmetic;   wherein said brush head includes a plurality of bristles;   wherein said reservoir and said brush head are coupled through said shaft for dispensing said cosmetic from said reservoir to said brush head;   wherein said wand is actuated to dispense said cosmetic onto said plurality of bristles by rotation of said connector;   wherein said plurality of bristles extend radially outwards from said base of said wand; and   further wherein said cosmetic applicator is a makeup brush for applying the cosmetic to the skin of a user.   
     
     
         10 . The cosmetic applicator of  claim 9 , wherein said plurality of bristles include openings therethrough for dispensing said cosmetic. 
     
     
         11 . The cosmetic applicator of  claim 9 , wherein said plurality of bristles are uniform in thickness and uniform in height for applying said cosmetic onto a skin surface of a user. 
     
     
         12 . The cosmetic applicator of  claim 9 , wherein said cosmetic is selected from a group consisting of a liquid, a solid, a powder, an aqueous solution, a non-aqueous solution, and an emulsion.

         14 . The cosmetic applicator of  claim 12 , wherein said plurality of bristles include an animal hair selected from a group consisting of a squirrel, a badger, a mink, a kolinsky sable, and a weasel. 
     
     
         15 . The cosmetic applicator of  claim 9 , wherein said wand includes a hollow ergonomic handle for holding said cosmetic applicator. 
     
     
         16 . The cosmetic applicator of  claim 9 , wherein said brush head is selectively removable from said wand for accessing said reservoir. 
     
     
         17 . A cosmetic applicator comprising:
 a wand including a central reservoir for storing a cosmetic product;   a connector including a central shaft therethrough for connecting said wand with a brush head at a bottom end of said wand;   a suction pipe connecting a push button actuator with said reservoir;   wherein said push button actuator proximal to a top end of said wand;   wherein said reservoir is replenishable and stores a cosmetic;   wherein said brush head includes a plurality of bristles;   wherein said reservoir and said brush head are coupled through said shaft for migrating said cosmetic from said reservoir to said brush head;   wherein said plurality of bristles receive uniform supply of said cosmetic from said reservoir when said push button is actuated by a user for activating said suction pipe;   wherein said suction pipe blocks the migration of said cosmetic from said reservoir to said plurality of bristles when said push button is released;   wherein said plurality of bristles extend radially outwards from said base of said wand; and   further wherein said cosmetic applicator is a makeup brush for applying the cosmetic to the skin of a user.   
     
     
         18 . The cosmetic applicator of  claim 17 , wherein said plurality of bristles include openings therethrough for dispensing said cosmetic. 
     
     
         19 . The cosmetic applicator of  claim 17 , wherein said plurality of bristles include an animal hair selected from a group consisting of a squirrel, a badger, a mink, a kolinsky sable, and a weasel. 
     
     
         20 . The cosmetic applicator of  claim 17 , wherein said brush head is selectively removable from said wand for accessing said reservoir.
