Abstract

Disclosed is a composite biodegradable polymeric based material comprising: a biodegradable polymeric matrix; at least 5 wt. % biodegradable plasticizer; and at least 2 wt. % biodegradable filler configured to stabilize the biodegradable plasticizer inside the polymeric matrix.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A method of making a composite biodegradable polymeric based product, comprising:
 mixing together:
 a biodegradable polymeric matrix;
 at least 5 wt. % biodegradable plasticizer; and
 at least 5 wt. % biodegradable filler, wherein the biodegradable plasticizer is in a liquid state at a temperature between 10 and 50° C.; and
 biodegradable filler is present within the composite in an amount sufficient for retaining the biodegradable plasticizer inside the polymeric matrix, and
   extruding the mixture to form a composite biodegradable polymeric-based filament to be provided to a three-dimensional (3D) printer for printing 3D objects.

         2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the mixing is conducted in an extruder.

         3 . A method of making a composite biodegradable polymeric-based product, comprising:
 mixing together:
 a biodegradable polymeric matrix;
 at least 5 wt. % biodegradable plasticizer; and
 at least 5 wt. % biodegradable filler, wherein the biodegradable plasticizer is in a liquid state at a temperature between 10 and 50° C.; and
 biodegradable filler is present within the composite in an amount sufficient for retaining the biodegradable plasticizer inside the polymeric matrix, and
   printing a three-dimensional (3D) object from a composite biodegradable polymeric-based filament.

         4 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the mixing is conducted in an extruder.
