Abstract

This application provides antenna panel training methods and apparatuses. One method includes: determining, by a network device, configuration information that comprises information about a reference signal resource set for training an antenna panel of a terminal device; and sending, by the network device, the configuration information to the terminal device.

1 . An antenna panel management method, comprising:
 determining, by a network device, configuration information associated with one or more reference signal resource sets for training an antenna panel of a terminal device; and   sending, by the network device, the configuration information to the terminal device.   
     
     
         2 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein the configuration information further comprises training mode information indicating a training mode of the antenna panel. 
     
     
         3 . The method according to  claim 2 , wherein the training mode of the antenna panel of the terminal device comprises at least one of the following: a single-antenna panel mode, a multi-antenna panel mode, or a specified-antenna panel mode. 
     
     
         4 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein each of the one or more reference signal resource sets is used to train one antenna panel of the terminal device. 
     
     
         5 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein the configuration information comprises antenna panel indication information indicating an antenna panel that needs to be trained. 
     
     
         6 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein the configuration information further comprises first trigger information for activating the one or more reference signal resource sets. 
     
     
         7 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein the reference signal comprises at least one of the following: an uplink reference signal or a downlink reference signal. 
     
     
         8 . The method according to  claim 7 , wherein the reference signal comprises an uplink reference signal, and wherein the method further comprises:
 sending, by the network device to the terminal device, a time interval during which the uplink reference signal is sent by using different antenna panels of the terminal device, wherein the time interval is greater than a time required by the terminal device to switch between different antenna panels.   
     
     
         9 . The method according to  claim 7 , wherein the reference signal comprises a downlink reference signal and an uplink reference signal, wherein the one or more reference signal resource sets comprise a downlink reference signal resource set and an uplink reference signal resource set, wherein the configuration information comprises second trigger information indicating (1) a binding relationship between the downlink reference signal resource set and the uplink reference signal resource set, or (2) a time difference, and wherein the time difference represents (1) a time interval between a time at which the terminal device receives the last symbol in the downlink reference signal and a time at which the terminal device sends the first symbol in the uplink reference signal, or (2) a time interval between a time at which the terminal device sends the last symbol in the uplink reference signal and a time at which the terminal device receives the first symbol in the downlink reference signal. 
     
     
         10 . An antenna panel management method, comprising:
 obtaining, by a terminal device, configuration information from a network device, wherein the configuration information is associated with one or more reference signal resource sets for training an antenna panel of the terminal device; and   training, by the terminal device, the antenna panel of the terminal device by using a resource comprised in the one or more reference signal resource sets.   
     
     
         11 . The method according to  claim 10 , wherein the configuration information further comprises training mode information indicating a training mode of the antenna panel. 
     
     
         12 . The method according to  claim 11 , wherein the training mode of the antenna panel of the terminal device comprises at least one of the following: a single-antenna panel mode, a multi-antenna panel mode, or a specified-antenna panel mode. 
     
     
         13 . The method according to  claim 10 , wherein each of the one or more reference signal resource sets is used to train one antenna panel of the terminal device. 
     
     
         14 . The method according to  claim 10 , wherein the configuration information comprises antenna panel indication information indicating an antenna panel that needs to be trained. 
     
     
         15 . The method according to  claim 10 , wherein the configuration information further comprises first trigger information for activating the one or more reference signal resource sets. 
     
     
         16 . The method according to  claim 10 , wherein the reference signal comprises at least one of the following: an uplink reference signal or a downlink reference signal. 
     
     
         17 . The method according to  claim 16 , wherein the reference signal comprises an uplink reference signal, and wherein the method further comprises:
 obtaining, by the terminal device from the network device, a time interval during which the uplink reference signal is sent by using different antenna panels of the terminal device, wherein the time interval is greater than a time required by the terminal device to switch between different antenna panels.   
     
     
         18 . The method according to  claim 16 , wherein the reference signal comprises a downlink reference signal and an uplink reference signal, wherein the one or more reference signal resource sets comprise a downlink reference signal resource set and an uplink reference signal resource set, wherein the configuration information further comprises second trigger information indicating (1) a binding relationship between the downlink reference signal resource set and the uplink reference signal resource set, or (2) a time difference, and wherein the time difference represents (1) a time interval between a time at which the terminal device receives the last symbol in the downlink reference signal and a time at which the terminal device sends the first symbol in the uplink reference signal, or (2) a time interval between a time at which the terminal device sends the last symbol in the uplink reference signal and a time at which the terminal device receives the first symbol in the downlink reference signal. 
     
     
         19 . The method according to  claim 18 , wherein the method further comprises:
 receiving, by the terminal device, the downlink reference signal sent by the network device by using a resource in the downlink reference signal resource set;   obtaining, by the terminal device, an optimal antenna panel of the terminal device by using the received downlink reference signal; and   sending, by the terminal device, the uplink reference signal by using a resource in the uplink reference signal resource set and the optimal antenna panel of the terminal device.   
     
     
         20 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium, storing a computer-executable program, which when executed by a processor, causes the processor to implement operations including:
 determining configuration information that indicates one or more reference signal resource sets for training an antenna panel of a terminal device;   sending the configuration information to the terminal device.
