System and method for dynamically providing personalized television shows
Abstract
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method that includes obtaining, by a processing system including a processor, a user profile for a user of a media service, and selecting, in accordance with the user profile, program components for inclusion in a media program to be presented via the media service. The method also includes generating the media program using the selected program components, and presenting the media program at equipment of the user. The method also includes obtaining sensor data associated with the user, and determining a user engagement level during presentation of the media program, based on the sensor data. The method further includes adjusting at least one of the program components responsive to the user engagement level, thereby generating a modified media program for presentation to the user. Other embodiments are disclosed.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A device comprising:
a processing system including a processor; and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processing system, facilitate performance of operations comprising: obtaining an outline from a content provider for a media program; based on the obtaining of the outline, inserting basic features for the media program in accordance with a stored profile associated with a user, a social media feed of the user, and biometric data related to the user, resulting in a modified media program; analyzing a frame of the media program to identify a first element of the media program; substituting a second element for the first element in the frame, resulting in a modified frame; incorporating the modified frame in the modified media program; and subsequent to the incorporating, transmitting the modified media program to a communication device of the user.
2 . The device of claim 1 , wherein the substituting is based on a determination of a user engagement level of the user.
3 . The device of claim 2 , wherein the determination of the user engagement level is based on sensor data.
4 . The device of claim 3 , wherein the sensor data comprises data transmitted by Internet of Things (IOT) sensors installed in an environment of the user.
5 . The device of claim 3 , wherein the sensor data comprises a facial expression of the user.
6 . The device of claim 2 , wherein the biometric data includes real-time biometric data, and wherein the user engagement level is determined in accordance with the real-time biometric data.
7 . The device of claim 6 wherein the real-time biometric data comprises a pulse rate, a blood pressure, a respiration rate, or any combination thereof.
8 . The device of claim 2 , wherein the substituting is performed responsive to the user engagement level being outside a predetermined range.
9 . The device of claim 1 , wherein the substituting is performed a plurality of times during a presentation of the modified media program.
10 . The device of claim 1 , wherein the modified media program is presented to a plurality of users at a premises, the stored profile comprising a composite profile for the plurality of users.
11 . The device of claim 1 , wherein the substituting is performed based on a composite user engagement level for the user and a second user.
12 . A method comprising:
obtaining an outline from a content provider for a media program; based on the obtaining of the outline, inserting basic features for the media program in accordance with biometric data and at least one of a stored profile associated with a user or a social media feed of the user, resulting in a modified media program; analyzing the media program to identify a first element of the media program; substituting a second element for the first element in a frame of the modified media program; and subsequent to the substituting, transmitting the modified media program to a communication device.
13 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the substituting is based on a user engagement level of the user.
14 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the user engagement level is determined based on sensor data associated with the user.
15 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the sensor data comprises a facial expression of the user during a presentation of a portion of the media program.
16 . A non-transitory machine-readable medium comprising executable instructions that, when executed by a processing system including a processor, facilitate performance of operations, the operations comprising:
obtaining an outline for a media program; based on the obtaining of the outline, inserting basic features for the media program into the outline in accordance with a stored profile associated with a user, a social media feed of the user, and biometric data related to the user, resulting in a modified media program; analyzing a frame of the media program in accordance with a user engagement level of the user to identify a first element of the media program; substituting, based on the analyzing, a second element for the first element in the modified media program; and subsequent to the substituting, transmitting the modified media program to a communication device of the user.
17 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 16 , wherein the basic features include a plot of the media program, at least one character of the media program, a scene of the media program, and dialog.
18 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 16 , wherein the operations further comprise:
obtaining local media, wherein the modified media program includes the local media.
19 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 16 , wherein a determination of the user engagement level is based on sensor data, wherein the sensor data comprises data transmitted by Internet of Things (IOT) sensors installed in an environment of the user.
20 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 19 , wherein the media program is presented to a plurality of users at a premises, the stored profile comprising a composite profile for the plurality of users, and wherein the sensor data comprises aggregated sensor data associated with each of the plurality of users.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
