Abstract

According to some embodiments of the disclosure, a method is disclosed. The method includes receiving, by a processing device of an in-ear device, an audio signal from one or more microphones of the in-ear device. The method further includes extracting, by the processing device, one or more features of the audio signal and generating, by the processing device, an in-ear data object based on the one or more features. The method also includes publishing, by the processing device, the in-ear data object to an external system via a network.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A wearable device comprising:
 a microphone configured to generate a microphone signal;   a speaker configured to receive an output signal and generate an acoustic signal;   a biometric sensor configured to measure biometrics from a user of the wearable and generate a biometric signal;   a motion sensor configured to generate a motion signal;   a data publishing system;   a memory that stores instructions;   a processor configured to execute the instructions to perform operations, comprising:
 receiving the microphone signal; 
 receiving the biometric signal; 
 receiving the motion signal; 
 analyzing the microphone signal for an event; 
 receiving biometric data and motion data from the data publishing system related to the event; 
 comparing the biometric signal with the biometric data to determine if a user is responding to the event; and 
 sending an alert signal if the user is not responding to the event. 
   
     
     
         2 . The device according to  claim 1 , wherein the operations further comprise:
 comparing the motion signal with the motion data to determine if a user is responding to the event.   
     
     
         3 . The device according to  claim 1 , wherein the operation of sending sends the alert signal to a remote server. 
     
     
         4 . The device according to  claim 1 , wherein the operation of sending sends the alert signal to the user. 
     
     
         5 . The device according to  claim 1 , wherein the device is a phone. 
     
     
         6 . The device according to  claim 1 , wherein the device is an earphone. 
     
     
         7 . The device according to  claim 1 , wherein the device is a watch or bracelet. 
     
     
         8 . The device according to  claim 1 , wherein the biometric sensor is a heart rate sensor. 
     
     
         9 . The device according to  claim 1 , wherein the biometric sensor is a blood pressure sensor. 
     
     
         10 . The device according to  claim 1 , wherein the operations further comprise:
 detecting if the device is connected with a remote server wirelessly.   
     
     
         11 . The device according to  claim 10 , wherein the operation of sending sends the alert signal to the remote server if it is detected that the device is connected with the remote server wirelessly. 
     
     
         12 . The device according to  claim 11 , wherein the operations further comprise:
 sending the biometric signal to the remote server if it is detected that the device is connected with the remote server wirelessly.   
     
     
         13 . The device according to  claim 11 , wherein the operations further comprise:
 sending the motion signal to the remote server if it is detected that the device is connected with the remote server wirelessly.   
     
     
         14 . The device according to  claim 11 , wherein the operations further comprise:
 sending the microphone signal to the remote server if it is detected that the device is connected with the remote server wirelessly.   
     
     
         15 . The device according to  claim 11 , wherein the operations further comprise:
 sending the biometric signal to the remote server if it is detected that the device is connected with the remote server wirelessly; and   sending the motion signal to the remote server if it is detected that the device is connected with the remote server wirelessly.   
     
     
         16 . The device according to  claim 11 , wherein the operations further comprise:
 sending the biometric signal to the remote server if it is detected that the device is connected with the remote server wirelessly;   sending the motion signal to the remote server if it is detected that the device is connected with the remote server wirelessly; and   sending the microphone signal to the remote server if it is detected that the device is connected with the remote server wirelessly.   
     
     
         17 . The device according to  claim 2 , wherein the operations further comprise:
 analyzing the motion signal to determine if a user is making a non-verbal communication.   
     
     
         18 . The device according to  claim 17 , wherein the non verbal communication is a head motion by the user. 
     
     
         19 . The device according to  claim 17 , wherein the non verbal communication is a hand motion by the user. 
     
     
         20 . The device according to  claim 1 , further comprising:
 a second microphone, wherein the first microphone is an ear canal microphone and the second microphone is an ambient sound microphone.
