Abstract

Intelligent incentives for invoice payment are described. In an example, transaction data can be received from a device operable by a seller associated with a service provider and via a network transmission between the device and server computing device(s) associated with the service provider. The transaction data can be associated with a transaction between a buyer and the seller. The server computing device(s) can access, from a datastore associated with the server computing device(s) and based at least in part on receiving the transaction data, seller information associated with the seller and, based at least in part on the transaction data and the seller information, the server computing device(s) can generate an invoice for the transaction, wherein at least one term of the invoice is adaptable based at least in part on an operating condition of the seller.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 - 20 . (canceled)

         21 . A method comprising:
 receiving payment data associated with a payment instrument of a buyer to satisfy at least a portion of a transaction between the buyer and a seller; determining a tip determinant associated with the transaction, the tip determinant indicating a tip amount; authorizing the payment data for the transaction and an additional amount based at least in part on the tip determinant; sending, to a device operable by the buyer, instructions to present a tipping user interface, wherein the tipping user interface enables the buyer to input an indication of a tip for the seller; receiving, from the device, data including the indication of the tip; and processing payment for the transaction and the tip using the payment data.

         22 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the payment data is received from the device operable by the buyer.

         23 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the transaction is associated with a digital invoice or a receipt for the portion of the transaction.

         24 . The method of claim 23 , wherein the tip determinant is based at least in part on context information associated with the digital invoice or the receipt of the payment data.

         25 . The method of claim 23 , wherein the payment data is associated with the digital invoice, and wherein the digital invoice is transmitted to the device operable by the buyer via a text message, email, push notification, or an in-application notification.

         26 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the tip determinant is based at least in part on information associated with the buyer or information associated with the seller.

         27 . The method of claim 21 , further comprising:
 training, using training data, a machine learning model to output one or more tip determinants; and analyzing, by the machine learning model, one or more of buyer information associated with the transaction, seller information associated with the transaction, or information associated with a digital invoice of the transaction to output the tip determinant.

         28 . The method of claim 27 , wherein the training data comprises one or more of past buyer information associated with a plurality of past transactions, past seller information associated with the plurality of past transactions, or digital invoices associated with the plurality of past transactions.

         29 . The method of claim 21 , wherein authorizing the payment data and the additional amount is based at least in part on one or more of:
 determining that the additional amount is within a threshold range; or determining that the additional amount is within a range associated with historical data associated with the buyer.

         30 . A system comprising:
 one or more processors; and one or more computer-readable media storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the system to perform operations comprising:
 receiving payment data associated with a payment instrument of a buyer to satisfy at least a portion of a transaction between a first user and a second user;
 determining a tip determinant associated with the transaction;
 sending, to a device operable by the first user, instructions to present a tipping user interface, wherein the tipping user interface enables the first user to input an indication of a tip;
 receiving, from the device, data including the indication of the tip; and
 processing payment for the transaction and the tip using the payment data.

         31 . The system of claim 30 , wherein the transaction is associated with a digital invoice or a receipt for the portion of the transaction.

         32 . The system of claim 31 , wherein the tip determinant is based at least in part on context information associated with the digital invoice or the receipt of the transaction.

         33 . The system of claim 31 , wherein the digital invoice is transmitted to the device operable by the first user via a text message, email, push notification, or an in-application notification.

         34 . The system of claim 30 , the operations further comprising:
 training, using training data, a machine learning model to output one or more tip determinants; and analyzing, by the machine learning model, one or more of first user information associated with the transaction, second user information associated with the transaction or information associated with a digital invoice of the transaction to output the tip determinant.

         35 . The system of claim 34 , wherein the training data comprises one or more of past first user information associated with a plurality of past transactions, past second user information associated with the plurality of past transactions, or digital invoices associated with the plurality of past transactions.

         36 . One or more computer-readable media storing instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause a system to perform operations comprising:
 receiving payment data associated with a payment instrument of a buyer to satisfy at least a portion of a transaction between the buyer and a seller; determining a tip determinant associated with the transaction; authorizing the payment data for the transaction and an additional amount based at least in part on the tip determinant; sending, to a device operable by the buyer, instructions to present a tipping user interface, wherein the tipping user interface enables the buyer to input an indication of a tip for the seller; receiving, from the device, data including the indication of the tip; and processing payment for the transaction and the tip using the payment data.

         37 . The one or more computer-readable media of claim 36 , wherein the payment data is received from the device operable by the buyer.

         38 . The one or more computer-readable media of claim 36 , wherein authorizing the payment data and the additional amount is based at least in part on:
 determining that the additional amount is within a threshold range; or determining that the additional amount is within a range associated with historical data associated with the buyer.

         39 . The one or more computer-readable media of claim 36 , wherein the tip determinant is based at least in part on information associated with the buyer or information associated with the seller.
